Disappointed
Disappointed. The price of the food was not reflected in the quality or taste. The waiter was overbearing and pushy. Food was underwhelming. Definitely would not return.

Exceptional service, artful presentation of dishes that were all delicious and a warm and welcoming ambiance! Dishes are shareable and small so you should order 4-5 for 2 people if you want to have some room for dessert! Great dining for a special occasion or impress someone! A must try!

We visited in December 2023 for the third time. We have loved Gucci Osteria every time we have been! The Risotto Disguised as Pizza is amazing, and the Italian fries are the stuff dreams are made of! I actually dream about them. The service is outstanding in all the right ways. The servers are happy to offer guidance and answer any and all questions. The setting is absolutely gorgeous...even on a rainy day! Highly recommend.

The tasting menu was thoughtful and nothing that I would have think! Every bite was amazing. When you're in a Michelin star restaurant I would suggest having the tasting menu when offered. They will take you through a culinary journey and hopefully you will understand why they received the star. I loved every single dish we had.

Very expensive, heavy over use of French butter from Normandy instead of Italian Olive oil. The tortellini soup was with heavy cream typical to French cooking. I do not like French cooking it is too heavy, high caloric value. this place should not be raccomended

I visited with my friend back in September. We had initially tried to book a table but told it was full. Our concierge got us a table. However, there were lots of empty tables! We had a long relaxing lunch as it was my first day in Beverly Hills having flown across the pond to Cath up with my friend. We had a good time overall. The food was good, yet I think you can get equally great food (if not better) elsewhere in Beverly Hills for a fraction of the cost. There were some good food options on the menu and I particulatluy enjoyed the cod entree. My friend; of Italian ancestry; was very disappointed with the 'twist' that was put on the bolognese. The pizza risotto was good and novel, but definitely not an entree size. I had it as an additional appetiser and would have left hungry if I had ordered it as an entree. Having visited other Michelin Star restaurants in the world, my conclusion was that it was not the best I had visited.

It is incredible that the inspectors of the Michelin Guide maintain the star to a restaurant that only offers its clients an outdoor lunch that, in the middle of summer, reaches -as was my case today- 34ยฐ C? Can anyone really enjoy a good tasting menu at such a temperature? In the hypothetical case that this were the case, it seems to me that the restaurant should offer the possibility of doing it in another part of the restaurant at a more suitable temperature (in the GUCCI store that is under the restaurant if there is air conditioning). The bloodiest thing is that they do not warn of this relevant circumstance on their website and, of course, when you get there if you decide not to stay, they charge you for the resignation. To make matters worse, the waitress who has served us has served me the Prosecco in the glass of water. Only when he has seen the expression on my face has he stopped serving. Perhaps he thought that by not giving the profile of the regular customer of that restaurant (Rodeo Drive - Los Angeles) we were ignorant people who would accept anything. To rectify it, he has served me a new glass of Prosecco from a lower priced bottle that would have been open and it is not known because it had lost all the carbon. In short, a good tasting menu that would have deserved a better review if it hadn't been for the above. Of course, a place not recommended to go on days of high temperatures for those people as "rare" as the one who subscribes with the mania of enjoying a gastronomic experience at the right temperatures.

For the last two years our dream was to dine at Massimo's famous restaurant near Florence, Italy. Then, the covid waves started and have continued. Since we live in California, we felt safe enough to travel to L.A. this past October during one of the lower peaks of covid. We learned that Massimo had opened this restaurant recently and decided to dine here. Once we can feel that we can safely to Italy, we still will try and experience his restaurant there.
That said, our dining experience here was fabulous. I'm sure to a small degree we were thrilled that we could even dine anywhere, much less at Gucci Osteria. Now, we have dined at many fine Michelin rated restaurants in the U.S. and internationally. There are very few and rare times when even your highest expectations are exceeded. Our visit was one of those.
The experience began with taking the exclusive elevator up to the top floor and being greeted immediately by the host. Every service and tasting step was superbly presented with such seamless finesse and precision. Each presentation was like a work of art.
My wife chose the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing. I had the seven course with wine. The difference between the two choices really came down to me having the "mini me" and the "white truffle tortellini". Otherwise, everyting else, including the wine selections, were the same. Oh yes, the price is also different.
So, we started off with what we believe is one of the most artful dishes (Spring is Coming). It truly was a piece of art that you really didn't want to consume (see the photo). The next course was the Insalata di Mare (seafood salad). That was followed by the Risotto Camouflaged as Pizza which was also a delight. While the Cod wasn't necessarily a great match to the other presentations, it was offset by the Mini Me (basically a beef ribeye burger in miniature size. I can see how one other reviewer didn't feel it was the best burger ever eaten. However, the presentation was so cute and creative.
Of course, our dessert was a wonderful "Charley Marley". In between and along the way, our service team presented us with off menu small surprises. That was special. Speaking of the "team", we had a great group of servers who each shared special knowledge and answered all our questions about the ingredients, tastes, etc. The group made us feel like we were the only diners in the room, and the tables were full at peak hour.
Needless to say, this was our most expensive dining experiences and if you have to be concerned about that, this is not the place to go. By far, we got what we paid for and what we expected...and then some.
Here's to a new year and hopefully another visit with Massimo in Italy.
Excellent
It was a great experience coming here although Iโve been to the Gucci Garden in Florence, Italy. The menu here in Beverly Hills is much better although they donโt serve the pork buns. The tortellini is the best on the menu and one of the best Iโve had.. I also tried the Risotto Camouflaged as Pizza and it was also amazing and full of flavors. Iโd love to come back and try other items on their menu. Staffs are professional and accommodating.

Before entering the place you know what to expect : a touch of glam and class, we are talking about Gucci after all in the most fashionable street of BV, Rodeo Drive. Located at the rooftop of Gucci store, with a nice view, you get to enjoy at first the beautiful romantic decor that takes you back in time: exactly like the old fashioned victorian style floral dishes which I really liked, they reminded me of my grandmother. And now we come to the most important part : the food. When you go to the restaurant of the world-renowned three Michelin star Chef Massimo Bottura you have high expectations. To be honest, I wasn't mesmerized by the flavors, don't get me wrong it was not bad but nothing super wow. We went with a friend so we didn't try many dishes, in other words I cannot have overall opinion about the menu. We liked the fresh baked bread with butter, the tortelini was very good, rich flavor and although the portion was small you got enough of taste. The wild salad was disappointing, just some organic greens with no seasoning or herbs or not even enough oil or some lemon, I felt like a cow eating grass - sorry to say that lol. We were also served two baby carrots on a separate plate as a welcome I guess, but didn't make the difference because there was simply no significant taste. Then the burger that came to this impressive pink paper box was not the best I had in my life, it was too minimal for my standards lol, it wasn't juicy and the meat was not marinated at all, plus this green sauce inside, I couldn't even tell what it is. We didn't order dessert but the polite staff offered us complimentary tinny bites of donuts and jelly candies.
