Harry Potter Cafe Minato City Reviews
Fun Stop for Harry Potter Fans in Akasaka
Located on the ground floor of Akasaka Biz Tower, the Harry Potter Café is part of a small Potter-themed plaza that fully immerses you in the wizarding world. The décor is relatively impressive - high ceilings, floating wands, Hogwarts house banner
Don't go. Barely Harry Potter at all. Load of rubbish
Do not bother. No magic, no atmosphere, no harry potter! Food barely themed. Staff rude. Rushed out. Food not great. Nothing worth going or the price.
basic and underwhelming
The Harry Potter Café in Japan has a charming atmosphere, but overall, it felt a bit basic and underwhelming. As a fan, I was expecting more immersive or magical touches, so I left slightly disappointed. That said, it’s still a pleasant café to v
Don't waste your time and money, don't go. Biggest toursit trap I have ever seen, and as a tour guide, I have seen some.
I am writing this review so you won't bother going to the Harry Potter Café in Akasaka, especially if you come just for this. As we stayed in the area and took the metro on a daily basis, we decided that we would try the Harry Potter café afte
Not a great experience.
Don't be tempted unless you are already in the area. We made a special trip to this cafe as we are huge Harry Potter fans. We were rushed in, told our time limit and given a tablet to order food. No problem there and everything came out very
Avoid! Read reviews before booking even if you are the world’s biggest Harry Potter fan.
TLDR: This is a poorly executed venue and one to avoid even if you are the most dedicated Harry Potter fan. We should have come to trip Advisor to read the reviews before booking and I am motivated to add our experience in the hope it will deter oth
Nice looks but horrible food
Come for the experience not the food. Make sure you are here with plenty of time especially if you are using public transportation. They do not make it easy to contact them if you are running late.
Temu Harry Potter
The Temu version of Harry Potter, stripped of anything magical. The food was OK, nothing more. Drinks looked very good.
It’s mehhh….not worth using up precious Tokyo vacation time.
There is nothing magical about this tourist trap. It’s really a waste of time unless you are just an absolute HP die hard who has to check every HP attraction on the planet off your list. The staff look and act like they are bored of you—honestly
A great themed cafe!
The food was beyond expectation, especially the Sunday roast. A great experience with friendly efficient staff - I highly recommend! Don’t miss the surrounding area like the steps down to the bus station which are also Harry Potter themed!
Tourist trap
Was hoping for some magic. Not even moving photo images. A cafe in a mall. Over price. Basic grill cheese. No english menu. Disappointed.
The food was magical!
The magic begins as soon as you arrive at Akasaka Station. When you step off the train, you can hear Harry Potter-themed music all around you. As you make your way to the station exit, you realize you are fully immersed in the wizarding world, as the
Disappointing experience that was not magical
Where do I start. Positives: booking online process quick and easy. Negatives unfortunately outweigh the positives. We were very disappointed. We arrived 10 minutes early, the door was closed, a sign outside stated to wait until your time and someone
NOT a magical experience.! Avada Kedrava ...
Don't waste your money or time here. Food is overpriced and basically ready made, heated up food. Drinks look pretty enough for the gram but again, doesn't taste great and definitely not worth the price. To pay more for a magical experience is accept
Good!
This spot is great for a Harry Potter fan, it’s give you some type of magical vibes. I would definitely would come back. Wingardium Leviosa non alcoholic drink was great!
Rip off! Highly advise against going
This place is an absolute rip off. Being a huge Potterhead, this was a must visit place. Seeing the reviews here, expectations were low, but the were still too high. The food was awful, arrived 2 minutes after ordering. Not really warm, no inspiratio

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Harry Potter Cafe Minato City at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Harry Potter Cafe Minato City page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
    1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* GallantAnswer60, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* GallantAnswer60 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to GallantAnswer60 for any questions Peter may have as GallantAnswer60 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* GallantAnswer60 now uses their connections at Harry Potter Cafe Minato City to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If GallantAnswer60 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, GallantAnswer60 receives the $200 reward which is credited to GallantAnswer60's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Harry Potter Cafe Minato City!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
