OMG just looking at these pictures is making me crave it again definitely worth the experience. It's different you order by the ounces its precut. The toppingsg are seperate. The wait staff seems pretty accomodating. They help you out and they aren't dressed up so you don't feel like you are under dressed. The inside of the restaurant feels like a upscale pub, which I love. The bloody mary and limonata was really good. Cream spinach and yorkshire pudding. I definitely recommend this place. Try not to eat your way towards here. You are surrounded by a foodie market so you might get distracted. The dessert was awesome.
Be the first to ReplyHonestly, it was disappointing.
With high prices come high expectations and this Hawksmoor sadly failed to deliver. The steak was overcooked and overly salted. The service was inattentive, requiring us to ask several times for things. And the atmosphere was sterile and crowded.

Hawksmoor, a British steakhouse chain renowned for its exquisite dry-aged and grass-fed beef, lures guests with its Borough Market outpost. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by an interior that is both opulent and inviting. Comfy dark leather chairs and wood-paneled walls create a warm and inviting atmosphere, while parquet floors lend a touch of sophistication. The Chateaubriand, a 600g masterpiece priced at (£90 = $112.50 USD), is a perfect choice for sharing. Cooked to a sublime medium-rare, the steak exudes a symphony of juicy flavors that tantalize the palate. The garlic mushrooms (£7 = $8.75 USD), a duo of portabella mushrooms enveloped in a garlicky embrace, provide a flavorful complement to the steak. The macaroni (£7 = $8.75 USD), with its wonderfully baked crispy top, sharp taste, and gooey interior, ranks among the finest mac and cheese dishes I have savored. While my expectations soared for the sticky toffee pudding (£9 = $11.25 USD), renowned as the best in London, the overly sweet sticky toffee sauce marred the sponge cake dessert. Topped with clotted cream, the pudding failed to meet my lofty anticipations. Overall, Hawksmoor offers a solid dining experience, particularly for those seeking a carnivorous fix. The selection of sides and desserts impresses, and I would gladly revisit to sample other desserts.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a London chain steakhouse.
It is much better than most chains we have in the US. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. The pricing was cheaper than I'm used to in the US for that quality of steak, which was also a big perk. The side dishes did not disappoint. We did the pre-theatre dinner for a Globe performance and had plenty of time to spare, can easily eat in under an hour with a reservation.

This place was the highlight of our culinary experience in London! A steakhouse restaurant with an English pub-style feel. A bit dark for my taste, but appreciate a different type of ambiance. We made reservations well in advance so when we showed up, our party of 5 was seated right away. The staff and service were friendly and attentive from the get-go. What we ordered and shared: Starter: Bone Marrow & Onions with sourdough (to die for) Oysters Sides: Hawksmoor Caesar Mash & Gravy Macaroni Cheese Creamed Spinach Garlic Mushrooms Main: Ribeye Chateaubriand Lobster w/Garlic Butter It seems like we ordered a lot but the side/starter dishes were small and the 2 males in our group could throw down. It was a first for everyone when it came to the Chateaubriand and it did not disappoint! So flavorful and tender. I would have been fine eating that all on its own. Although stuffed, we could not resist ordering their sticky toffee pudding - if you have a sweet tooth, this is a must-try. You will not be disappointed. If you're looking for a non-alcoholic beverage, their premium lemonade is a great choice! Yes, it's pricey but aren't all steakhouses? Well worth it in our book. We left this spot so full and satisfied. Hawksmoor, we will miss you!
Be the first to ReplyGood steak, but definitely on the pricy side.
Mac and cheese was very enjoyable but the star of the show was actually the fresh sourdough bread with beef butter. Service is great, but the atmosphere is maybe not to my taste - Felt like I was in the Victoria era!

Hawksmoor in London - where do we even begin? Our visit here was nothing short of a culinary adventure. From the moment we walked in, we could tell we were in for something special. Let's start with the cocktails - absolutely divine! The Old Fashioned, Reformed Pornstar, and the Lychee Martini were all perfectly crafted and packed a flavorful punch. They set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Appetizers were a hit as well. We couldn't get enough of the Old Spot Belly Ribs and the Roasted Scallops. They left our taste buds tingling with delight. Now, onto the main event - steak! While the steak itself didn't quite steal the show, it was good. But let's talk about the real star of the evening - the macaroni and cheese. I had every intention of sharing it with the table, but one bite in, and I was hooked. I ended up savoring every cheesy, gooey, and utterly delicious bite all to myself! Dessert was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. I opted for the Blueberry & Lime Cheesecake, a light and refreshing choice that left me wanting more. The entire experience at Hawksmoor was quite lovely. From the tantalizing cocktails to the unforgettable mac and cheese, it was a meal to remember. If you find yourself in London and craving a delightful culinary adventure, Hawksmoor is the place to be. Cheers to good food and great company! #HawksmoorAdventures #LondonEats

We came here for Sunday Roast and had ourselves an exceptional meal. As a frequent go-er of Sunday brunches back in the states, I was thoroughly elated to find that the British had the same affinity for gorging themselves with tasty foods early in the day with no agenda thereafter. We each got the Porterhouse with the traditional drippings - phenomenal. And then finished the feast off with a sticky toffee pudding. I had no idea what this was before today; my life will never be the same.

Hawksmoor is expensive. It's worth it though! Everything was delicious from the steaks to the desserts. Reservations are a must because it's packed even during the week. They let you take your time and do not rush you. Had a little trouble finding the place and had to call but they had no problem directing us down to their location.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely amazing service and ambiance.
Our server was very attentive and graceful. Adding in her expert opinions when we asked. We reserved online in the bar area, in which we actually got a table, pleasantly surprised. There were many other tables in the bar area/room and another separate dining room. We liked the feeling of the front bar area and glad we got a nice table. We ordered two ribeye medium rare steaks for both of us with the bone marrow gravy (must get) along with Mac n cheese (didn't love the blue cheese they used), mashed potatoes. And a bottle of red wine. The steaks could have been cooked with a little more love, as my partner said, but overall quality was great. He has been to the chain before and had better steak experiences so maybe the chef changed. The dessert was the best, with a chocolate mousse dome with ice cream and a surprise bon voyage chocolate ice cream.
Be the first to ReplyA special meal in a lovely chain.
The service was perfect in a nice setting near Borough Market.
Be the first to ReplyThey offer a variety of prime cuts on their menu.
We ordered their Prime Ribs and I must say that they did not fail to deliver. The beef had an equal crust throughout and was perfectly cooked. Very worthwhile!

Ordered a steak cooked well done and told them to butterfly it. We are here before our show. Everyone got there steaks. My steak came out rare and was not butterflied. I sent mine back. Came back again this time it was medium instead of Medium Rare how it showed up the first time. We are out of time so I am not getting to eat now before work. Would not come back here again. Waitress didn't even come back when I was trying to let them know. Had to tell the busier who cleared the table and he didn't seem to care about what I was saying. Then after not eating the steak and sending it back 2 times, they charged us for it. Unbelievable. Will not come back nor would I recommend this place. Won't be off work till 1:30am now and won't get to eat till then. Wish I would have went somewhere else. All the hype we got about this place and it was average service at best.

Amazing starters and cocktails. Ribeye was cooked perfectly and service was great. Can't recommend this place enough!!
Be the first to ReplyEasily our favorite meal while in London.
Service was prompt and attentive. We tried several items from the menu and all were excellent. The Caesar salad and the bone marrow apps were maybe the best we have ever had. Steaks were cooked perfectly and tasty. We would strongly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back when we go back to london.

Chill place to meet someone for drinks or have a relaxed group dinner. Nothing to write home about but for the price, it's not bad.
Be the first to ReplyNice dinner spot.
Old style steakhouse with lots of room and an old English pub feel. Interesting decor. Ok wine list. I had the beet starter. Ash beets. Very tasty with a nice acidic dressing and greens. Liked this a lotGood breads. Entree was the fillet. Ordered the small one and it was ok. Nicely cooked but more traditional British style fillet: thin cut toasty outside...Overall a good experience

In my trip to London I was looking forward to eating at this establishment. It had been said to be one of best steaks in the world. It fell very short on all fronts. To start we were made to wait a half hour past our reservation with a half empty restaurant. While at bar we were served one drink and never even acknowledged ever again. Once sat for dinner the waitress was very nice. When she was around. The meal was the build up and fell very short. $165 chateaubriand was horrible. The ends were cooked grey and center was rare. The fries were so seasoned with salt they were inedible. Max and cheese was excellent. The bone marrow gravy was phenomenal. Deserts were excellent as well.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food and service.
The mashed potatoes were the best we've ever had anywhere. The earl grey iced tea was super yummy. Chips were crispy and the meat was of course delicious.

Everytime I come to London I make the effort to eat at Hawksmoor. The steaks are great and it is an overall enjoyable experience. The waitstaff is attentive and helpful. It is a little pricey but worth it!

I thought this place was great, not as high end as I thought but loud, fun atmosphere and great steaks. I would go back but if you're looking for a quiet conversation this is not the place.

We stumbled into this place one night thinking it was another restaurant we had gone to years ago while visiting. It was raining so we decided not to continue our search but rather sit and enjoy dinner. They gladly found us a table with no reservation within minutes, even on a busy Saturday night! Our waiter was great. Explained the menu options perfectly, and checked in a few times. The food was perfect! Perfectly cooked and perfectly presented. Great quality meat and very tasty!

I travel to London often from The States, but this was my first time here. It was simply a lovely evening. The food, though pricey, was divine. The rib eyes my husband and I ordered weren't overcooked, but medium rare is usually a touch more red than pink, at least back home; nevertheless, the steaks were of the highest quality and tasted delicious. Our server, David, made the evening that much better, and we couldn't have asked for more attentive service. When I return to London, I will definitely return here. The bone marrow alone is worth a visit! It was even better than the ones we had at St. John Smithfield, and that's saying a lot!

After two other Hawksmoor in Knightsbridge and Picadilly, this is the third installment of the small steakhouse chain. Great steaks as usual, good service, but wines by the glass are on the pricey side so are the whiskys as the pours are somewhat, well, minuscule. Still a great evening with friends but on the pricy side!
