Just Don't
My wife is Chinese and somehow thought this would be a good place to go for Cantonese tea/dim sum. Um, no. In fairness, some of the dim sum was decent, although not great. Others were not good at all. I've never said this before in a review, but something here seems to have given me stomach problems. This was the first place we ate at during our trip to the southwest, and I was not well during the whole trip thereafter (finally after a week, I returned to normal). I can't say definitely my meal here caused that, but I ate nothing else unusual that day. There are much better choices for Chinese in LV.

Food was ok, good selection. Nice service. Good selection. Quick service. Plenty of parking. Not at our level to return.
Be the first to Replygood Cantonese food
Open until the wee hours, this place serves good Cantonese dishes. They follow the traditional method of providing free good broth soup to prepare the palate for the dishes you order and then also free papaya boba soup to also end your meal with. One of the dishes we ordered was the filet mignon cubes - very tender. Also nice whitefish dish. Slightly pricey, but maybe this is the norm for Vegas.

I'm not sure what the other reviewers were expecting, but I this restaurant delivers on the promise of traditional west coast style cantonese food. The food is delicious, well cooked and nicely presented. The service is absolutely on par with the price and locale. I recommend it. More: If you were raised in the 80s in an urban west coast setting the food here will feel like coming home. This is not a critique, but praise. In Las Vegas we have plenty of opportunities to try new styles and varieties of Chinese food in very flashy settings. This place serves a different niche. It clearly aims to bring you traditional style west coast style cantonese. For my money, it delivers on the goal. These are the dishes you remember having when you would go out with ma ma or po po for a family restaurant dinner. They remind me of what we know and where we came from. This is not stuffy food that hems you in, but food that evokes memory.

This morning we ordered some dim sum at the restaurant. My husband threw up twice 10 minutes after eating “Fresh Crab Porridge”. We asked to speak with the restaurant manager, but they never showed up. Instead, the waiter told us “it was fresh crab” and gave us an insincere apology. They refunded us for the porridge. We filed a complaint to the Southern Nevada Health District.

There was a time that I would not go back there because I had some bad experence. My friend told me that they have improved. I wne t back there and sure enough, things have improved. They dim sum were good and Chinese food were muched improved. The price is much better than New Asian BBQ.
I would not order BBQ Pork and duck there. It is not their specialty.
I actually like their #2 branch at the corner of Jones and Spring Mountain. Unfortunately it was burned doen 2 years ago.
Great place for dim sum and seafood
Great place for dim sum and more. They have a good variety of dim sum and seafood menu. The only downside is the dim sum food wasn’t hot just lukewarm. We like our food hot when it comes to the table for dim sum. However we are satisfied with the quality of dim sum.

I went to The Strip to pick up friends visiting from out of town. I asked them what they wanted to eat for lunch, and they asked for dim sum. I then asked if they wanted to eat on The Strip--and pay resort prices, or would they be willing to eat like a local?
The restaurant is located in an off Strip shopping center. This facility isn't fancy, but it is clean and well maintained. The food isn't extravagant, but it's sort of like home cooking--it tastes good and is consistent between visits. Service is always better than okay--but I think they might be a little shorthanded because of this Covid-thing, nowadays.
On this particular visit, because of the group's size, we ordered more food than I would as a lone diner. All of the dishes were good, in terms of presentation, quality and taste; and price paid for the meal was very reasonable.
Cold duck and leathery sea bass
The restaurant is authentic and provides a very full menu of choices. We ordered the roast duck, which arrived cold. Our pan seared sea-bass came out as deep fried sea bass the first time so we had to change it to steamed. The steamed sea-bass tasted like leather and we could not eat it. The price was $20.00 and definitely not worth it.
Be the first to ReplyWhy Chinese families don't eat there?
Because this is a place for white people, white people with Asian friends, mixed couples. You know it's good food if there are a lot of Chinese people eating there. With the above individuals you will have the subservient server act nice but with Chinese people, they are RUDE! If you want to split your payment to be part cash and the rest credit card, they put up a fuss. Money is money. Food is cooked improperly. Chow fun with beef and vegetable - old beef that just dissolved. Fried taro dim sum, old and not freshly fried. Rice Noodle - not properly mixed with funny consistency. Fried chicken and pork dim sum, not fully fried. And most important all the food service handler certifications on wall have EXPIRED. This restaurant should be ashamed of itself. Hopefully, their employees are legal. Given the above, and especially during this time of COVID19, how do you know how safe your food is and how old your food is? But food handlers not having active certification and some expired as far back as 2017! Yes - I just ate there and its 6/2020!

Tried this place a couple of times before. Love the late night hours and the fact you can get dim sum late.
Food is good, not high end Chinese food but good solid food when your late night craving is calling.
Went there also for lunch and for the dim sum it's of course the best at lunch time, great variety and so much like Hong Kong. Maybe not the cleanest as I have heard they have been sited by the health dept. but hey some of the best Chinese restaurant is not the cleanest hahahaha
Will be going back again the next time i'm in vegas
