Hôtel National Des Arts et Métiers Paris Reviews from The Last Year
So beautiful!
From check-in to check-out, this was superb. Upon arrival our concierge greeted us, provided some wonderful espressos, and walked us through a map of the Marais. This hotel is in such a great location. We walked for hours just around the neighborhood, great shopping, restaurants, and people! Metro was close and we took it everywhere else! Hotel was clean, and very pleasant. Breakfast was good, and evenings were very social and active in the lounge/restaurant. We had a room with a balcony…strongly recommend! This hotel is a gem! 5 stars from us!
Nice view of park and church
One night stay because of a reservation snafu at another near by hotel. Perfectly fine short stay. Nice view out the window. Comfortable bed. First floor room, one floor up from the ground floor, right out of the elevator, straight,…. whatever room number that was. Nice staff. Merci beaucoup Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers!
Incredible Experience + Great Location
My wife and I had an amazing stay at this hotel in the standard room with a balcony. Everything from the check-in process, the room, staff and the location all exceeded our expectations. We truly wouldn't change a single thing about our stay and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Paris.
Location, comfort, and quality … at a price
Just a few minute walk to any of several convenient Marais metro stations, the boutique hotel is located on a pretty little square across from the impressive and fun museum of arts and sciences. The hotel is well-maintained with truly outstanding housekeeping staff who keep the rooms pristine and tidy with all amenities refreshed daily. Our room was modern and posh with super comfortable bed, good water pressure and steady hot water (this is Paris…don’t take that for granted!), and appreciated Nespresso machine with free coffee pods replenished every day. There were robes, slippers, blackout curtains, large up to date tv, and plush towels. The hotel restaurant is solid for breakfast (a la carte is about €20; buffet is €30), and an easy choice for Italian food if you don’t feel like going out (there are many great walkable nearby restaurants though). The hotel is a great choice if you prefer boutiques but the price of rooms may not be within everyone’s budget. Fortunately, if the price doesn’t put you off, you will likely feel you got your money’s worth.
Beautiful Boutique hotel in a perfect location
Beautiful Boutique hotel in a great location (very close to the Metro station Arts et Metiers). Very friendly, helpful and charming concierge Lazare and Edouard made us feel very welcome and provided us with some great recommondations regarding the area (restaurants, bars, sights). Thank you Lazare and Edouard! The rooms are very clean, very practical with a beautiful interior. Very good bed/bedlinen and a great showerdesign (well choosen material for sink, floor and walls). The housekeeping does an excellent job (always spotless clean). We felt all the time during our 6 nights stay very comfortable in this hotel. The location slightly off the always busy Marais but within walking distance to a lot of great bars, restaurants including the great Marché couvert les Enfants Rouges is perfect. Highly recommend this hotel!
Consistency in excellence!
I have known this hotel since its beginnings, it has not aged a bit, which is rare in this constantly changing environment...don't worry, keep going! Kindness of the staff, always very careful decoration and very good catering/bar are the strong points of the hotel, not to mention its ideal location in Haut-Marais.
Charming Parisian Retreat
I had a wonderful stay at Hotel National Des Arts et Metiers in Paris. The hotel's location is superb, with close proximity to the Louvre, the Seine, and the vibrant Montorguiel street. What I loved most was the easy access to multiple metro lines, making it convenient to explore the city. The hotel itself is stunning, and the balcony added a touch of charm. Although it was a bit unfortunate that the weather was cold and wet during my visit, I couldn't help but imagine how delightful it would be to sit at the balcony on a sunny and warm day. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its location and beauty.
Fantastic location and stylish hotel, but in need of a refresh
The hotel is very elegant and very well located. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. However, there are elements that are not feasible given the asking price. This mainly concerns the bathroom (room 301), where the shower cannot be hung correctly, the sink does not flow... This is not possible for almost 400 euros per night.
Fabulous
Another visit to Paris and the Hotel National Des Arts et Metiers delivered, once again, an exceptional experience. It's location in the Marais is close to many cultural and touristic locations. The hotel itself is well suited to both business or pleasure with room service, modern amenities, good sized rooms, some with Juliette balconies that feature windows opening to sights and sounds of the locality.
Perfect Boutique Hotel
Excellent Hotel located in the Le Marais neighborhood of Paris. Located amongst many amenities, restaurants, shoppes and transit. Clean, fashionable, designed well, good amenities, good service. Highly recommend.
Great hotel
Great hotel The hotel has beautiful, clean and functional rooms, the position is excellent, the staff are kind and available, spa fitness, there is everything you need to have a great vacation in Paris
DAMAGE !
We spent three nights at the hotel, a professional meeting on Friday and a leisure weekend. Reservation on the site. The hotel has obviously been redone, correct decoration, which can be seen almost everywhere. The decoration deserved a personal touch. This is a decoration from a magazine (dark, velvet sofas and armchairs, etc.) basically everyone's taste, that is to say, no one's. Damage ! The facade is beautiful and overlooks a square and a church. The perfect location for me, 10 minutes walk from the Picasso Museum and the Center Pompidou. The welcome is very cold, (like I don't belong, I should be the hotel manager) for a 4 star, too bad, it's off to a bad start. The room is good and consistent with the photos on the site. Very spacious studio room, and good bedding. There is a gym which is good, but the lighting is very insufficient, we are almost in the dark, too bad! A bar we didn't go to, but we heard it at night, and a restaurant. We had dinner at the counter the first evening. Average and expensive Italian food. The wine list is incomprehensible, almost only natural wines or fine wines between €150 and €1500. When we went back to bed, I asked the waitress to keep our half-full bottle of wine for us (natural wine at €39 a bottle), knowing that we had reserved a table for the following day, and the waitress panicked. must ask the manager, that we wait for 10 minutes. The manager, who obviously does not know the wine, asks us if it will not be bad the next day, then advises us to bring the bottle back to our room, upon my refusal and my insistence he finally agreed to keep the bottle in the restaurant bar, too bad! Finally, the rooms can be very noisy, when there are evenings at the bar, which is located in the courtyard of the hotel, if you are tired, too bad for you! Overall, staff who either think they deserve better, or take themselves a little too seriously because they think they work in the fashionable place. Too bad!
Very noisy hotel
The hotel and restaurant are nicely decorated, the room small but comfortable, the breakfast quality. The hotel is well located in a lively area. Unfortunately, the rooms are very noisy and this totally ruins the experience.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I have a similar question, it seems like when money is refunded it doesnt go immediately what is the process of this since its essentially a debit card and not a credit card
