Cosy Winebar
Amazing choice of wine. Great atmosphere. Fantastic food and great staff, really knowledgeable! A place to come back...
Be the first to ReplyNo table despite booking!
Was so pleased to have managed to reserve a table has I had not been able to on a previous occasion. Turned up on time for my reservation which they confirmed they had, but no table was available. The only place I could seat was some high chairs by the entrance door, despite there being an empty table. I explained that we wanted to eat so I was expecting a table. The server was pretty blaze that there was no other options. So disappointed and totally ruined our evening. Decided not to stay. Awful customer service.
Be the first to ReplyNice little wine bar with a good choice and a nice vibe
We didn't eat so I couldn't rate that but everything else excellent. Friendly professional staff, helpful advice, nice vibe and it felt particularly welcoming for women. I would go back.

We had an enjoyable evening here with some great wine (too many to choose from) great food and great company. I will certainly be returning.

Apparently my glass had more wine in it than originally served so I topped it up with my own. They knew they made a mistake but they defended their man rather than offer a sincere apology.

We visited the Humble grape after dinner and were lucky enough to get a table. The bar was a nice cosy wine bar, great staff, nice atmosphere, Marcelo the manager was on hand and made us very comfortable, helped select the wine and was very entertaining, an asset to the bar! The walls are lined with bottles, you can reach for them yourself which was fun. We ordered some bar food which was tasty. The location is perfect, 5 mins walk to Liverpool Street station, we will definitely be back!!

Found this place by accident and really enjoyed it. Good selection of wines by the glass. Snacks and bites available to eat and these looked good (we already had dinner reservations so didn't purchase. Convenient for Liverpool St and the city. Popular venue
Be the first to ReplyA lovely evening
Me and my girlfriend came to the Humble Grape straight of the train from Liverpool Street which was perfect; no more than a 5 minute walk. Staff were lovely and helpful. I had one of the organic whites while she had a Chablis we then also shared the butchers board. Both the wine and food was great. A lovely venue and evening will definitely be coming back!

This place is amazing, Hugo and Daniel makes you feel like you are in the living room of your home, they always know the perfect wine for you.
Almonds and olives are amazing, special mention to the Camembert in all the versions.
Amazing place
I went there with my parents just to have a quick glass of wine and we ended up staying for a wine testing!! Hugo treated us so well, he provide us with an excellent service! his amazing wine knowledge is what made us stay longer, we tried many wines all followed by a great explanation! Food was also amazing so congrats to the kitchen! I definitely recommend to stop by, is a hidden joy next to liverpool st!!
Be the first to Replywonderful service
Another great evening at Humble Grape, Liverpool Street. We, too, like the other reviewer, were a given a table downstairs as the place was really busy. In the beginning, thought that being downstairs, won't enjoy, but in fact it was more buzzing than upstairs. The service was spot on and they have added couple of more dishes to their small plate menu, which we appreciate. The kitchen is tiny, but the chef comes out with some wonderful dishes.
Thank you to Nicolas, Marcelo, Abu the chef and the gentleman behind the bar (sorry cannot remember his name).
Dissapointing service
Having booked a table I was dissapointed to be shown to the cellar area which is lacking in the atmosphere of upstairs and not well ventilated in covid times, The wine list was good and our choice of wine delicious but our meal order was a bit disastrous. We both ordered baked camembert, although in hindsight we might have shared one. Mine arrived but that of my companion did not. I had to start because it was hot and the staff just kept telling her that hers was on the way. There was an admission that an error had been made with the order and only one had been put through to the chef. There was no real apology offered and by it arrived she barely ate it as we had eaten nibbles to start with and nearly finished our wine. What I take from the experience is that running that small but busy establishment with minimal staff at that time can cause problems, I think there were only 3 staff, 2 taking orders and serving and one chef. Could have been better!

Small wine bar with loads and loads of options that you can pick and take home or add a typical mark up and sit and enjoy.
Nice small intimate areas and nice staff. It's a "don't expect a house wine" kind of place but a lovely casual place to enjoy wines that you can only assume those who source them know are good.
great selection of wines
we spent a wonderful Wednesday evening at the Humble grape. this was our fourth time but it good as always. we had a lovely bottle of orange wine from Slovenia. Nicolas was very helpful with choosing this wine. Humble Grape has a huge selection of wines. nice atmosphere.
thank you.
Excellent wines and excellent service
I came with a group of friends on Saturday evening. We had a booking for 6pm but due to unforeseen tube issues we were around 30 mins late. I called in advance to let Humble Grape know and they were very understanding and accommodating. When we arrived the team were super friendly and our waiter in particular was great with us. The wines were excellent, lovely ambiance and excellent service. Highly recommend for a date night/evening with friends.

It was all we hoped for and more. Amazing wine and the food was simply delicious, I was very surprised to see that there was only one chef in the kitchen, the standard was outstanding. Definitely recommend and cannot wait to be back .

We booked this place as an early drinks and dinner before going to a show across the river. I nice selection of wines on offer with a very knowledgeable manager. we ordered a cheese board, padron peppers and a babaganoush which were all great tasting. the bread that accompanied it all was fabulous and fresh. The atmosphere in this small place is nice. The only slight down side was the lingering smell from the fryer that gets into your clothes.
Busy so would recommend booking ahead.
