I'm a little late on this review but wanted to share my experience on Valentine's Day 2024. My and my girlfriend have to Hyde Park before and it was truly a great experience. This time around was completely different. Our server this time was very dry and seemed to not care about serving our table. Not much attention was given to our table but all the tables around us were very well taken care of. He was not very helpful with menu recommendations and we consistently had to ask to have plates removed. The food this time around was not to the level of our first experience. The photos on this review are from the first experience. Service was not okay for the type of restaurant Hyde Park is and food was definitely not up to par either. Taking a break from Hyde park and not sure if I would go back.

Just had one of the worst cooked steaks here, very disappointing. I ordered the filet medium, it came out dry and deeply charred on the outside and rare in the middle. For the price and cut of the steak it was really disappointing. Mashed potatoes were good and the croutons on the Caesar salad were bomb!

The food and ambience are phenomenal. The crab cakes and au gratin potato's are to die for! They also have an early dinner menu which is a steal price wise and includes soup. I opted for the lobster bisque. Servers are always prompt and attentive & the lemon drops are definitely strong.

Every single thing was delicious. Drinks delicious. Service over all was well below what we expected. Empty drinks. Dirty plates left. Long times between seeing server. Like 20-30 minutes between visits. And it wasn't just our server. Manager seemed out of touch and oblivious even though we saw them multiple times in the area. Restroom floor was sticky. Crashing sound of empty bottles thrown in the trash at the bar (which happens but this was like, chucked in their with no care for the customer experience). Just not the experience we expected for a high end steakhouse.

We have been here twice since it opened and have had stellar service and experience both times! We also visited the location during the pandemic and were pleased with the food and quality of the takeout! Perfect for anniversary or pricey birthday dinners!

The FOOD, the service, the ambiance, perfection! Romantic, the food is top-notch. Great selection of wines. The carpaccio was the best I ever had, the filet melted in my mouth. By far, one of my favorite restaurants.

I decided to take my Son out for a nice dinner and thought Hyde Park due to its proximity to my house (1 mile). The 4 (not sure why they need 4) hostess' were accommodating and sat us down wayyyyyy in the back room in the corner, the people watching was at a minimum, but when I went to the restroom, I noticed several tables that were wearing inappropriate attire for a restaurant of this caliber, one guy had a wife beater tank top on, and nothing else over it. Another guy had a Dan Marino football jersey on, and three tables worth of guys had hoodies on. Enforcing a dress code for $200+ dinner with no alcohol would be a great idea.

This was my first and definitely last time ordering food from here, I wanted a good meal so I thought I would give it a try because it had to be decent and probably had good quality control with the high prices but I was WRONG I ordered a burger medium and it was beyond well done and worst of all they actually decided to give the burnt bun to their customer and then added the barely there cold and old fries. This food had to pass a cook not a chef and either a expo person or someone handling the carry out so this is unacceptable that this passed quality control

Basically a Ruth Chris environment and service. Ordered med rare received rare. Sent back and was corrected. Eric V. Was our server Not very engaging or friendly, clearly doesn't enjoy his job and lacks ability to connect with customers. Food runners basically threw the food at the table and ran away. Drink refills are few and far between. I wouldn't return.

We came on Valentine's Day and the staff was very accommodating even while being busy. They cater extremely well to gluten free needs. I will definitely be back and the food is outstanding.

I stopped up on a Saturday night and sat at the bar for a nice steak and left disappointed. The bartenders were good, very attentive, and friendly, promptly gave me two drink menus and a wine list. liquor prices were very high, as expected. There was a Halibut special that sounded great but i went with a wedge salad to start and filet, medium with the zip sauce (off to charge $2 for zip at a steakhouse, IMO) and a baked potato. as per my usual I made a point to say a "real medium, please", and she replied that she understood. The salad was great and very hearty. The filet came and I cut into the edge to gauge the temp, it was blood red. I showed the bartender, and she said it looked medium to her and asked if I want them to "bump it up a little"? I'm going to pause here to rant a little. I cannot stand this kind of thing. look, when it's clearly wrong, just admit to it, there is no sense or logic in looking at a steak that is clearly under cooked based on the order and saying that that it looks like a medium when you know damn well it's not. You can have your $65 steak how you like, I like mine a REAL medium. Warm pink center and even a little red in the center is fine but, I am not fine with bloody and shiny just one cut into the meat. Needless to say, I asked for it to be addressed. She asked if I wanted them to keep the potato warm while I waited but I opted to eat it while i waited. Unfortunately, it was pretty hard and very under seasoned. So, I timed it and it took 17 mins for my steak to come back. I watched a manager ( i assume anyway ) walk my steak to 3 different table asking if they were the person that asked for their steak to be "bumped up" before locating me and giving me the same steak, now over cooked and missing the zip sauce. Unfortunately, I had already ordered some carry out entrees for my son and his girlfriend or I would have decided against it based on how my meal was going. When the order came out, I asked her to make sure everything was in the bag as I had a 20 min drive ahead . The bartender smirked and said they have a receipt on the bag, and they check it but she'd check again. Wouldn't you know it, the bread was missing. Her excuse was that they wanted her to charge me for it and she was going to grab me some so she didn't have to charge me. So, I have ordered 3 entrees and had an issue with my steak and potato, but not only do you offer nothing in the way of good will or compensation of any sort you try to tell me that I should be getting charged for a few pieces of bread and crackers with 2 entrees to go?? Report on the take home items, the petite filet was VERY small and the Halibut special was OK but how there were some thin slices of beef mixed in with the spinach is beyond comprehension and one can only assume fell in from another skillet which is very unappealing. In all, not any chance in the world I got my $220 worth. Very disappointing. Honestly, the pinot and the wedge are the only reason I gave 2 stars. To be clear, I have been to this location on a few occasions for business and have had better experiences but it's been over 2 years now so , this is how they operate now, I guess.

Is it cheap? Oh no. It's pricey. And everything you're served is spectacular. The service is exceptional. Even the bathrooms are special.Lobster Bisque to die for.Wagyu Carpaccio was beyond amazing. Horseradish-y, lovely, spicy... stupendous.Order a steak. ANY steak. and you'll be blown away. You can get A-5 Waygu here... where else can you do that? It's expensive. It's special. It's a celebration.At the end of the day... set you expectation: it's going to be pricey. The food is going to be amazing. The service is going to be phenomenal.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant - I cannot believe that I haven't been here sooner - it blows the Birmingham location out of the water. My wife and I went for our six year wedding anniversary and while I did not indicate it on the reservation, as soon as the staff found out they pulled all the stops. Someone immediately placed flower petals, a candle and a card on the table, along with many happy anniversary wishes and a complementary dessert [flourless chocolate torte]. We ordered the Caesar and chopped salad, 12 oz filet and 14 oz New York strip, macaroni (no lobster) and the garlic mashed potatoes. I also tried a variety of steak sauces - everything superb; the macaroni, pretzel bread and filet my favorite. While it was the most expensive meal I have ever gotten, it was also one of the best.

Hyde Park is one of ym favorites and they always have Australian Beef and Creekstone Farms options for their meat so depending on how halal you want to be the steak itself in many cases is halal. We've had anniversaries, date nights, and birthdays all here. I absolutely love it!

I went to celebrate my grandmas birthday and that was a mistake. My mom ordered the French onion soup and when it was brought out there was a HAIR on the dish. The fact that the hair was on the dish our server should of seen that. They need to start inspecting there food before letting it go out. We let the server know and wanted to speak to a manger. Louis Johnson the manager on duty came over. He did not apologize at all. They re made the soup and brought it out. Louis never came back to check on us. I ordered the chicken and to say the least it was horrible. The inside was cold. That tells me it was microwaved. We paid over $500 for horrible service and even worst food. Louis never came to check if we were okay. And to top it off THEY DIDNT EVEN TAKE OFF THE ONION SOUP ON THE RECIPT TILL WE ASKED. I will never give this place a DIME. My time and money is way too valuable to spend over $500 on terrible food and service.

Hyde Park was exceptional! The ambience, service and food were outstanding. Wonderful selection of high quality fare and premium beverages. Seafood was fresh and the entrees were all worth coming back for. Kudos!
