Ichiran Times Square New York Reviews from The Last Year

The ramen is exactly served as it was in Japan but the price was much more than I expected. I ordered one regular ramen with extra toppings, the total is more than $30. More than I feel for a ramen. The service is great and it didn't ask for tips in your bill.
Amazing experience eating here! I usually review ramen
Amazing experience eating here! I usually review ramen based on broth, pork, and noodles and all three of these here were spot on delcoins. You can tell this is an establishment that takes pride in their craft and it may be one of the best ramens I have ever had. Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday and waited about 15-20 min to order at the kiosk. You only have two choices - either veggie or pork tonkotsu ramen. Once you order, you are seated in traditional Japanese booth stalls to fully immerse in eating this delicious ramen. Ambiance is fast casual and everyone is seated in A long line of private booths. There is a call button for water and then information on Ichiran, it's suggested way to eat the ramen, and even useful Japanese phrases. I was sooo happy when my ramen came out. I could tell it was top notch ramen after taking a few sips of the broth. The broth is packed with pork, umami flavor and I would just drink this straight from the bowl its so good. The thinly sliced pork is flavorful and the thin noodles are perfectly cooked. I only wished they pre-cracked the soft boiled egg as that got kind of messy. Overall, one of the best ramen I have had. This would be my go-to ramen if I lived here! I will be dreaming of it and will be retuning next time I am in NY (or Japan!)
What an amazing experience! My daughter kept showing me
What an amazing experience! My daughter kept showing me ramen houses in Japan just like this place that she wanted to visit, so I was really excited to take her here while in NY. The service, food and experience were all great! The line and the wait was not too long at all. The place was pretty quiet for the amount of ppl that were there and everyone was very friendly. There are partition between each person for privacy or you can choose to fold it up if you are there with someone or a group, my daughter refused to fold it up b/c she wanted the whole experience, lol. We would love to come back when we are in this area again.

Pretty cool place with some tasty ramen! I like the sit down booths and customization
Legit ramen, not many choices, just cook and condiments.
Short wait around 6p on wed night before a show. Very cool old school booths for quick efficient service. Tonkatsu broth was great, my son picked up the bowl with 2 hands and drank it clean!
Overall, it was a pretty good experience, with helpful
Overall, it was a pretty good experience, with helpful staff and innovative design, but the default settings for the ramen is a little oily and salty, so you may want to check the customization. Also, the spice ball may be a little spicy for not very spice-tolerant people, so if there is a setting to tune it down some people might want to do it. But anyway, the staff was friendly, the ramen pretty good, but you may want to check the customizations offered.
The best thing I have ever eaten in my life.
Period. Nothing will ever beat this. Ever.
This ramen is exactly the one I had in Japan.
I didn't have high expectations for the ones in NYC but I'm glad to say it surpassed my expectations. It's perfect for solo dining and the noodles were amazing. Would definitely be coming back
I had this in Japan and at home with the ramen kit.
It's just good ramen. I got low sodium - don't do this. It was rather bland. My daughter's medium was better. Not salty like I thought it might be. I got level 2 for spiciness (recommended) - it is not spicy. Go 3 or 4. Kinda pricy at $29 a bowl. The make at home kit only has 3 servings. You can get them on Amazon for that amount, but for 5 servings.
It's definitely a different experience, fast and the ramen
It's definitely a different experience, fast and the ramen is ok. Not a place to chat with friends while eating.
Good Ramen, quaint place
Very characteristic place in the Times Square area. You order with a tablet at the entrance and after paying they make you sit in one of the corridors with seats on the left and right with removable booths. The Ramen is good, I've eaten better especially in Japan, but it's not bad. Experience to try
Reliable and tasty
ICHIRAN delivers consistent standard - delicious and always reliable goos quality. Fast service. Ramen is excellent, and the fact you can tailor how you want your ramen makes a difference. I like my ramen al dente whereas my kids prefer them softer.
Fun meal near Times Square
Ichiran was a fun lunch stop on our trip. We got there a bit early and the line was already long. Most folks were able to order quickly at a kiosk and then wait in another like for seats. We split into two groups so we could be seated quicker. The ramen was great and there were lots of options for toppings. We enjoyed the atmosphere, too, especially my teens.
Delicious ramen.
The ramen here is just as delicious as the ones in Brooklyn and Shinjuku, Tokyo, and that says a lot. The chashu is a bit lean for a ramen, though. Regardless, I will come back.
Must try Ichiran experience
This is such an authentic Japanese experience in NYC. The layout of the restaurant is just like the one they have in Tokyo. Ramen was also so good and delicious that I would think that I'm in Japan and not New York.
For the single minded diner
The ramen, said to be the best in the city, is very good, and, if not quite convenient to theater goers, is well set in the heart of the midtown shopping area. Though I have had far better tonkatsu broth in California and Japan, it is delicious. The only qualms are the long wait for a table, and the cubicle seating, lined up in a row like pigs at a trough, is likely imported from a Japanese salaryman setting and completely inappropriate for a social meal with family and friends who expect to converse and share tastes. Rather depressingly, this may make it ideally suited for todayβs diner who focuses exclusively on their phone rather than those they share a meal with. Which maybe accounts for the lengthy line to get in, as much as the food does.
Incredible. 10/10 recommend.
The ramen speaks for itself. The ramen is out of this world and unlike anything Iβve ever had. I followed the recommendations while ordering and do not regret it. The spice level of the recommended (2) adds great flavor to the broth, while not too overpowering but enough to tingle your senses. The chashu (pork) is excellent and I would recommend ordering extra. My wife and I came here on our visit to NYC and ended up coming back two more times during the same trip. Will always come back to Ichiran while visiting the city.
Tastiest Ramen Ever.
I loved it.. there was a small line outside. But the atmosphere was incredible.. the service excellent. They explained everything so well, and the food was delicious. So tasty, best ramen iβve ever had. And Iβm not a big ramen eater.
Incredible Food, Worth the Wait
Small wait line outside approximately 10-15 minutes but absolutely worth the wait. Staff were quick and efficient. The food- INCREDIBLE. This was our first experience with true ramen and it delivered. We went with the recommended βsettingsβ for each selection and we wouldnβt change a thing. Overall, great experience. We would go back.
Great Ramen
Very delicious Ramen. Easily able to custimize. Look at menu before you need to order. Plan to wait in line, which moves quickly. Fast service. Only negative is that felt a bit rushed, but I think is close to authentic experience.

Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been βmatchedβ with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

Give the best answerConcierge change fulfillment time
I posted a request for a reservation this Thursday between 6:30 and 8 pm and initially the potential seller said it would be fulfilled by today. Now they changed it that they will only fulfill it by 5pm that same day. Basically I would have an hour and a half to get to the restaurant. Is this allowed?
