Just tried this place for a late lunch after a busy day.
Asked to be seated so we could watch people in the casino while we ate (free entertainment). Relaxed atmosphere where you could go casual or more well dressed. Our waiter was very attentive. We ordered drinks and the bar tender has a generous pour that was appreciated. The menu selections were limited because this isn't your family Italian restaurant down the street in your neighborhood that has a six page menu. They clearly focus on specific dishes that they do well. The food was amazing and flavorful. Reasonable portions and nice presentation as well. The prices were also very reasonable (for Vegas). I would recommend.
Be the first to ReplyI ate at the Happy Hour on Sunday afternoon March 3rd.
I was one of party of 4 and we had just flown into Las Vegas that afternoon. The Happy Hour was a perfect stop for some good food and generous drinks before attending a Chicago band concert. Everything was delicious and the presentations were exceptional. Our server, Bryan was most accommodating and considering how busy it was he kept on top of keeping up with our needs before we could even ask him. Kudos to Bryan! We frequent Las Vegas a few times a year and will definitely be back to Il Fornaio again.

This is a glorified Olive Garden in terms of food taste/quality. Service at the bar on Saturday March 23rd was non existent. Lucia was the name on the check and he and his colleagues never smiled and followed up after the meal was delivered. I doubt I will ever return to this location and may try the others when in California.
Be the first to ReplyWe went here this afternoon.
We ordered Calamari and pizza fradiavola. For food, we ordered the Roman sunset drink and Milano mule. Both the calamari and pizza tasted good. The Milano mule is lighter on the alcohol taste wise and the Roman sunset seems to have more alcohol to me. The waitress was attentive and came by often to check in on us. Our bill was decent price due to us coming here during their advertise happy hours from 2-6 pm today. If you come for happy hours, make sure you sit at or at the tables around the bar.

After being seated at the worst table in a nearly empty restaurant and being told no other tables were available, the waiter did not get my order right. For overpriced food with poor service, I will take my business elsewhere.

Great Italian restaurant at NYNY! My seafood entree was delicious as well as my husband pasta entree. Their Sangria was great too! Service was excellent, we had a table out by the casino, which was good for people watching. Nice atmosphere to enjoy dinner.
Be the first to ReplyThis was a good place for a date.
A little noisy being inside of the casino, but that is to be expected. The food was good ,but it did not blow me away.

We've gone to the Il Fornaio in Orange County, been to this one located in the NY NY hotel. Parking, you can valet. Beautiful ambiance and decor, very fancy chandeliers and lighting. Great open bar area and they do have a good happy hour (specialty cocktails, pizzas, calamari and other appetizers). Appetizers we go with the typical calamari (crispy and good marinara), bruschetta - good barons they mix up the toppings now and then. Chicken Parmesan over spaghetti marinara is seasoned well, crispy and tasty. Seafood pasta is full of mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops in a fresh tomato broth. They have an assortment of pizzas, pasta dishes and man proteins. Do not pass up dessert, the tiramisu is delicious. Servers are great and attentive

Some of the best Italian food we've had in Las Vegas and that's saying something. Their vodka penne pasta is the best. Our service was excellent and their espresso martinis are the best and I think it's because they actually use freshly brewed espresso in making them.
Be the first to ReplyA few days ago, we went to the restaurant and food was good
A few days ago, we went to the restaurant and food was good and it is a nice place but it was very uncomfortable the service, the hostess was kind, he took us to the table and the waitress came to say hello, we ask for some drinks while we were looking at the menu, a few minutes ago a little waiter came and soy hello and ask us for some drinks and food we told him that we already have a waitress but he told us that she already gone, a few more minutes the waitress came and ask us for food, we told her that this little guy told us that she won't came back, she looked embarrassed and she apologised to us, the little guy continues to serve us, but it was so uncomfortable to us because we saw how the writer literally still the table. At the end of our meal we heard the waitress speaking Spanish with other employee that this little guy took our table because he said it was 4:55 and she should wait until 5:00 to take tables cause it was the hour wen she starts working, then the other girl said that he did something similar because she took a table at 3:45 and the little stilled the table because he was about to star at 4:00 and it should be his table It was awful to hear that, I really felt uncomfortable to being attended by him cause I used to be waitress and I can tell when someone did that to you. I just said many times little guy cause I don't remember the name, but I just saw it wast the shortest guy. Hope you can resolve that.

Ever since the Seattle location shutdown we lost touch with Il Fornaio so it was nice on a recent trip to LV to reconnect! Again it was another eatery in the NY NY Resort and Casino that serves up a good mid-ranged price of Italian good. Sure we could've opted to head across the street to Eataly but we like the menu here. We started off with the calamari appetizer (Calamaretti Fritti) and lightly breaded squid was cooked to perfection. We also had the Buratta Con Prosciutto an imported burrata with prosciutto, arugula, ciabatta croutons and basil olive oil. The Caesar salad both with and without grilled shrimp were decent. For entrees the chicken Parmesan was good as was the Fussiloni with corkscrew pasta with roasted tomato sauce and burrata; the Linguine Mare Chiaro layered with pasta with clams, mussels, prawns & scallops in roasted cherry tomato sauce, crushed red pepper, garlic and trebbiano wine; and the Tagliatelle Bolognese with egg pasta ribbons with traditional meat ragu and grana padano and asked for chicken as a protein. The service was good and the ambiance was lively.
Be the first to ReplyHad lunch/dinner at 3:45.
Place wasn't busy at all and got poor service. Had to ask our waiter multiple times for a refill. Didn't check on us throughout our meal and asked for plates since we were sharing a few items from the menu, which we never got. Tables with different servers got a bread basket which our server did not offer or bring. Meal was decent but service was poor.
Be the first to ReplyFood was straight from a can.
Not Italian. I give it 1 star due to location....over priced for caned food.
Be the first to ReplyThis is an attractive space in New York New York hotel.
It looked like one of the more upscale restaurants in the hotel. We dropped in for happy hour which was served in the bar and surrounding lounge area. Service was adequate at best. Drinks were literally forgettable. We ordered calamari - bland, cauliflower - nicely roasted but only slight rosemary flavour detected, Brussel sprouts saturated in oil and burnt - inedible. We were so turned off by the food, we had no desire to return to the hotel during the rest of our stay. In retrospect we feel we should have ordered beer or Italian wine and pizza or pasta. When in Rome ... not NYNY

The service was excellent and they were very accommodating about finding a table that was comfortable for us inside. The seafood and the seafood special tasted very fresh and was cooked to perfection. The sauce was a light creamy tomato sauce which was just slightly spicy. The butternut squash ravioli was just the right portion with a creamy tomato sauce and Crispy Sage on top. All the pastas at this location are made in house.
Be the first to ReplyNice Italian restaurant located in New York New York.
All the pasta dishes we ordered were exceptional. Waitress hand grated Parmesan on our meal which was a nice touch. Bread basket is an extra couple bucks but this is Vegas where nothings free. Overall a nice high end Italian restaurant with great food
Be the first to ReplyThe food and service is horrible.
We decided to have an early dinner; sat at the bar; the tall, male bartender had a bad, sarcastic attitude. We ordered the shrimp pasta and salmon, with spinach and potatoes. The food was very oily for us; lacked flavor. The margarita and old fashioned drinks were not made properly. Stay away from this restaurant. Horrible service and oily food.
Be the first to ReplyI enjoyed happy hour yesterday at the bar.
Fair value, especially compared to the dining room. Menu limited but adequate. Their pizza was good. Service was adequate and straightforward. I managed to arrive at a lull, for there was ample available seats at the bar, which filled quickly shortly after my arrival.
Be the first to ReplyGood is great, service is great.
Decor is dated. Pricy, clearly $$$ not $$I have the spaghetti Bolognese it was particularly good
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful restaurant in the New York New York hotel.
Came in as a walk in and host was more than welcome to take us in without a reservation. We were told it would be a 10 min wait, but a server came to seat us one minute later. Wow the ambiance the staff create is very welcoming, very friendly and happy to listen. Now food wise, it's the best calamari I have ever tasted. You won't be disappointed if you decide vist this restaurant
Be the first to ReplyAte at the one in New York New York.
TRULY 10000% DISAPPOINTED! Not the normal Il Fornaio standards! Tasted like FROZEN pastas! The seafood pasta sauce was RUNNY and the pasta was OVERCOOKED! Both orders! My lasagna was all cheese pretty much with tiny grated bits of mushrooms. Wtf?! $30+ per entree with no bread given at all for a sit down meal. The calamari tasted like it was frozen too! Not coming back again! Felt Ripped off honestly.
