Definitely Reccomended Entertainment and Great food
What an experience! Our daughter found this restaurant and I did not expect entertainment a great atmosphere and incredible food. We ordered truffle dumpling that were served with a foamy broth, fried rice, Tina Tartare Sashimi with incredible ponzu sauce, Tom Kha soup and Curry Chicken. It was all wonderful. The only thing I would not have ordered is the Thai beef it was spicy and too much. the language barrier was sometimes difficult with the staff but overall and great experience. The water, music and dancers were added to make this a perfect night.

Is it a little cheesy? Yes. Is it overpriced? Yes. Is it super fun and worth it. 100%. A fantastic atmosphere in a very cool setting with great food, lively entertainment, and great service. And also very pet friendly. Canโt wait to come back!

Not only was the setting so lovely but the whole experience was so memorable. From the Asian influenced excellent food to the remarkable entertainment it was one of our very best eating experiences. And a highlight was our attentive professional waiter Levont. He made us feel special. It is expensive but well worth it.
Be the first to ReplyHuge disappointment
Huge disappointment. Was here for x-mas day. I had a reservation at 8PM, and as I got into the lobby of the Setai, I was already surprised by a huge line. I already knew they overbooked the restaurant! I cot it confimed and told that I had to wait about 15 minutes, with a complimentary glass of bubbly, which was at first still ok. However these 15 minutes turned out to be 1 hour. In the meantime I called several other restaurants but as it was Dec 25th they were all full. So I asked again and I finally got another table, in a room next to the main room separated by a glass/window, so that I could not enjoy the show, which was one of the main reasons I booked this place. Now the good thing: food was ok, so was the waiter. But given the price and the downturn that they completely overbooked the restaurant I can not recommend this place,it was a huge disappointment, and I will definitely not come again and can not recommend this place.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Birthday lunch
Great Birthday lunch here, they do offer a fantastic set menu (you need to ask) There is some background building works but didnt disrupt the lovely outside area seating
Be the first to ReplyTerrible organisation
We had a reservation for the restaurant. Due to extreme bad organisation of the restaurant we had to wait more than 90 min. As client we have 15 min before we loose the reservation. First they said to wait 5 min, than they forgot us, than we again had to wait 40 min even with a reservation. For a 5star hotel this is a very chaotic, bad management. I have been in many 5 star hotels but this one is terrible. A topper in a bad wayโฆ get your business in order !!!

Weโve been to Asia many times (over 20 times) and been eating their excellent clean and spicy dishes - but, the food at Jaya was impeccable and even better than weโve ever have had on any Asian restaurant ever - and I mean, weโve realy eating our way over the continent.

Be the first to ReplyStylish place, delicious food
First class, attentive service, contemporary design, tasty food. Might be a bit too loud for some, though. Book in advance.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful surprise.
The restaurant is stunning. Food was absolutely delicious. My first impression from reading the menu was not that exciting and hope that the food will be good. We dined in the courtyard and everything was just so well presented. Our waiter told us his recommendation and we followed his advice. The tuna tacos were out of this world, the sauce Was heavenly. We end up ordering an additional order. The hamachi sashimi was tasty and beautifully presented. The truffle dumplings were tasty and decorated with truffle shavings. Pasta bolognese was made with fresh pasta and wonderful meaty sauce. It also came with a generous helping of fresh parmesan slices. Food was wonderful and service was excellent. Our server Santiago was friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning to this restaurant soon.
Be the first to ReplyJaya was SERVING
Oh my goodness. It was my first visit to Jaya with a big group and it did not disappoint. Letโs start with the bad: We had a reservation but we were not seated until an hour later. What is the point of having a reservation system if you donโt honor it? However, despite that hiccup we had a wonderful time. The bar was packed - so lively, and we waited there while our table was getting ready. We all managed to try a few comped cocktails. Okay maybe more than a few. My review of the food is spottier because letโs be honest I was 3 sheets to the wind at that point. Also, the restaurant is basically a club. With a dj. And fire dancers. It was such a SCENE. I loved it (but also hated myself for loving it). We split a number of dishes and they were quite tasty, if not a tad hard to share. Iโll def be back.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful venue and delicious food
We ended up ordering a thali, chicken fried rice, and a chicken tikka. The food was absolutely fantastic and better than most Indian restaurants we have been to the also had terrific entertainment, and the venue was spectacular.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic. Flavorful. Fun
Fantastic place for people watching. But the food was insanely good. The holiday drink menu was awesome โspicy pearโ rocked! The dinner show dancing was great. Our server was awesome. Honestly it wasnโt that loud.

Artsy and eclectic menu of various cuisines from all over Asia including Indian, Thai and Japanese. Expensive, but it was well prepared. I had the fish tacos appetizer. They were small but very tasty. The Peking duck I was surprised because it came out very fast but that was a decent sized portion and they give you pancake wraps and scallions that you make little sandwiches with along with a plum sauce. That was nice. I also had some chicken fried rice. Their dessert selection was outstanding and I had the Macallan Cappuccino. Excellent way to finish a meal. The staff and ambiance are excellent, they also had a woman doing performance art. If you are celebrating a special occasion and arenโt afraid to spend money, treat yourself!

Beautiful people and venue but average pricey food and drinks !Very entertaining place with live performance and loud music Donโt go to eat great Asian fusion just enjoy the crowd!
Be the first to ReplyThank you Indah Shakarie and Jaya!
What an incredible evening. I have been for brunch once before (which is unreal) but never for dinner. The service, food and ambiance is unmatched. Upon arrival Shakarie assisted me with getting the perfect table so we could see the live entertainment and was beyond friendly. Dinner was delicious. The sushi was fresh and filling. The naan was yummy and the chicken Thigh dish Indah recommended was fabulous. Overall wonderful first time dining time!! Thank you Jaya Indah Shakarie for a memorable evening with my dad
Be the first to ReplyAWFUL NEVER AGAIN
Food awful Spicy small portions and tastes like over everything over spiced over dried duck hot the whole time we asked them to put some fans on no I booked a table for months in advance everyone who just walked in was getting seated under the fan where it was cool but my party of eight no I asked several times no they moved us inside it was even hotter and now no music and no show which we were looking forward to and then the second course came out and it tasted even worse than the drinks were watered down too sweet the waiters donโt hear what youโre saying our order was screwed up at least three times horrible experience ruined my birthday Iโm so upset I will never go back there again!
Be the first to ReplyFANTASTIC EVENING ONE OF THE BEST EVER
What an incredible night on Friday at The Setai don't think twice about booking this when in Miami food service entertainment music blows you away brilliant night five stars
Be the first to ReplyGood for the Free Water
Made a reservation for this restaurant, showed up in advance of our time and we were sat in a separate room away from the live entertainment and overall vibe of the restaurant. We were told that if we wanted a table there, we would have to wait 45 minutes. When we saw a table open up, we asked if we could move there and they said no. We decided to leave as it was not worth our time and money to be second-class citizens in a restaurant we booked in advance. Not a great way to treat customers imho.
Be the first to ReplyBland & mediocre food. Very good service & ambiance.
4/10 Score. THE POSITIVE: Very good, friendly, & courteous service by nearly every server, host, and employee. Nice & fun ambiance with live music. THE NEGATIVE: Every single item we tried from the Brunch Buffet was bland and mediocre in flavor and/or quality. The fresh & perfect orange juice was the only memorable item. We would recommend Jaya at the Setai only for people with popular & undeveloped palate who have low expectations from culinary experiences.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding
Simply outstanding - excellent food, good wine list and exceptional service. The environment is beautiful and there is even a live show included. Canโt speak highly enough of this restaurant
Be the first to ReplyGood food, bad service, WAY overpriced
Walking into the beautiful restaurant, our expectations were really high for the meal. The restaurant was bustling, the music was above normal levels and the water and lights were really impressive.
The Good:
Food was good. We had a few of the appetizers and four entrees for our party of 4. Every dish was good, at least, some very good.
Entertainment was unique for dinner. Performers come out and do shows throughout dinner. Some, like the ring performer, are impressive, others are just fine. It was a different experience. But....
The Bad:
Service was pretty bad. We had to wave our servers down, rarely having them approach our table without us getting their attention. Given they automatically charge a 20% service fee, regardless of party size, you would hope for better service. But then again, workers are getting 20% on huge checks regardless of what they do. 20% is also on top of alcohol.
Drinks were absurdly expensive. A normal martini was $20-30. Other mixed drinks were in the same range.
Portions were tiny. Four tiny tuna tacos were $28. Three prawns in curry sauce were $42. A piece of n'aan (bread) was $12. The "signature" fried rice, with one cut up prawn and a little chicken in a small bowl was $42. Again, food was good, but you can equivalent Indian food from a take out place. The fried rice dishes could be had at any decent Chinese restaurant. Needless to say, after paying almost $200 per person, we left hungry and ended up eating an hour later at a different place.
Overall, different dining experience, but not worth the money. It is a "hot" restaurant in Miami. You can tell by the amount of Gucci and Fendi (one women was wearing Fendi silk pajamas and feather slippers). Plenty of other restaurants with better food and better service. You won't miss the fire dancer.
Asian fusion at its best!
Excellent ambiance, food very good. The overall experience was great. Our waitress was also excellent. I had the sea bass and wife the pad thai. I think dessert was actually our favorite part of the meal.
Be the first to ReplySuper eventful dinner, stolen property, shout-out to Johnny!
Came to Jaya for dinner after checking into the hotel Thursday night for my birthday weekend. The ambiance was great, lively, fire dancers and loud club like music. We started with caviar service, YUM! Wellโฆ.. after appetizers, we went to go meet our friend in the hotel lobby & walk her to our table. The people in the large party beside us thought it was a cool idea to steal my jacket off of the corner of my chair. Super weird guys!! (They were there for a birthday, too.) This pretty much spoiled the rest of the meal for me, our waiter was so apologetic though, and felt truly awful. He did everything he could to look for it. I left that night without my shirt. JOHNNY in security actually managed to track down the people who sat next to us and ended up getting my jacket back for me before we left Miami!!! I honestly did not expect Jaya/the Setai to put as much effort they did into helping me. I wish the super weird people next to us hadnโt stolen my shirt because the rest of dinner would have been so awesome! I barely ate my steak. Anyway, thanks again guys, weโll hopefully be back next time weโre in Miami.
