We've been "Collector" members for years, made an appt for a tasting during our stay at the Ritz. We were off to a ok start, place was empty, one associate working. Sat for our appointment, started our tasting and cheese plate but the associate kept ditching us. First for her friend that's a bartender at Giants stadium. Then for another couple that "liked the snake on the bottle". We had to sit by and listen - with empty glasses and plates - while she talked to the walk in couple about snakes, French bulldogs, their anniversary etc..for well over 20 minutes. We were planning on buying wine to ship home. We were planning on maintaining our club membership. Neither of those things will now happen. I don't know what she was thinking. If you can't handle 2 couples in the tasting room without leaving one for 20 minutes, close the door. It's not hard to touch a table from time to time. There's too many solid wineries & clubs that do value their members.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
