The food was delicious and combined unique flavors that makes you close your eye to savor the moment while you chew. It really takes you on a flavor journey that lingers with you long after the meal is over. The atmosphere is intimate yet approachable and the service was super nice. All in all, Jeong was an amazing experience and I can't wait until I can go again. All of the dishes were really good...The Chawanmushi king crab/caviar appetizer was the perfect way to open the experience with a great balance of subtle seafood notes mixed with a savory egg custard base. The salmon tartare was delectable plate of fresh fish and flavors that would fit in at the finest sushi restaurants. My favorite dish was the scallops which was served with a yummy sauce that I literally licked off the plate (when no one was looking). The Australian waygu was also a highlight which was cooked perfectly to highlight the sublime marbling of the meat. The two dessert dishes continue the unique, delicious flavors that still make my mouth water as I write this review days later. The first dessert was a shaved ice mixed with eccentric Asian flavors that a refreshing palette cleanser after the savory dishes. The second dessert was an ice cream/sorbet/berries dish that included mochi and candied honeycomb which was a perfect balance of tartness, sweetness, softness, and crunchiness. I also had the roasted barley cocktail which was AMAZING...it was like an alcoholic version of a barley tea which sounds odd but it works! All in all, I would highly recommend Jeong if you enjoy fine dining. We have been to a handful of Michelin stars restaurants in Europe and South America and this place humbly competes with the best of them.
