... In my humble opinion this place beats old ebbitt in every category. Oysters are the best and freshest I've had in DC, that goes for oyster Rockefeller as well. Love them and crave them. Service is always top notch. Really aren't gonna find more consistent and attentive across the board. The food is always great. On this outing for the first time had the flounder which was a special and the fried chicken. Now I have always said the best fried chicken in dc happens to be bantam king, but after having it at Joe's .... I am torn. It was juicy and flavorful and crunchy. So now I'm leaning towards it just depends what kind of fried chicken you want. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Maddie's the bartender extraordinaire in the back room, she is always fast and so friendly. Probably my fav bartender in DC. The only downside to Joe's for me is you probably do want a reservation as it is always jammers and you are risking not getting a table or long wait time otherwise.
