Excellent
Lovely tapas, the scotch egg and patatas bravas were excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the bedrooms were clean and modern. Would definitely come again.

Very nice set of drinks, from early evening onwards, with a local mate. Staff all very nice and fastidious. Pleasant atmosphere, inside, as always. Cute baby lamb ‘visitor’ being looked after by a family, was a cute/funny member of the clientele during the evening period.
Be the first to ReplyYou can fool the "locals" but not the Spaniards.
Very disappointed. We are from Spain and live in London, and we were curious about this restaurant because what we read in the news. We ordered several supposed Spanish dishes. The croquetas were too oily, the bread with tomato was frozen cold, the calsots where not enough cooked and the chuleton was more a bit of carpaccio! and with mash potato?? every Spaniard knows what a CHULETON is, big, juicy, thick, a wonderful piece of meat, etc... and THAT was NOT, only the price was of a Chuleton...:-( You can fool the "locals" but not the Spaniards.
Be the first to ReplyBrilliant Evening
Brilliant evening at the Swan. Live Spanish guitar music and tapas. All the food was freshly cooked, paella especially good (we cook and are fussy). We visit most weeks, staff are efficient but friendly. One time there was only one lady to serve everyone, she just got on with it professionally. I appreciate the staff doing extra cleaning when they have time (chandeliers etc). Thank you Swan staff.

Be the first to ReplyGreat food, top quality service
Really enjoyable evening with friends. The tapas was tasty and plentiful and the service from Ella exceptional. She was so helpful and knowledgable about every item on the menu, making the decisions so much easier. She had excellent people skills and was super friendly (even laughed at my husband's terrible jokes - NOBODY does that!). Her colleagues were also wonderful and I wish every outlet focused on customer service as much as José Pizarro's place at The Swan. We'll definitely be back soon. Thanks Ella.

Incredible tapas, beautifully fresh flavours, the most amazing anchovies, and great service. Only disappointment was a lack of much in the way of beers but that's not really what this place is aiming for - it's not really a pub despite how it appears.
Be the first to ReplyVery good, but...
I have to start by saying that the only Pizarro place I'd been to before was the restaurant in Bermondsey. It's probably my own fault for not checking, but I assumed that the Swan would have a similar menu. It didn't. The menu was almost all tapas. There were a few bigger dishes, but two of the three were for sharing and the third, Norwegian cod and chips, was the only one for one person - and I was eating alone. The fish looked good on other people's tables, but I don't go to a Spanish restaurant to eat English style fish and chips. Having said that, the tapas were very good and I sampled a good number. The tortilla was a little bit dry, but that might be my fault because when I was asked how I liked it - runny, medium or well done - I said medium. The prawn fritters were delicious, so much so that I had them twice. I tried two different salads: a tomato salad with salmorejo dressing, which was wonderful and a green salad which was a bit of a disappointment. It had very little dressing. The padron peppers were very tasty and the helping was quite generous. I love boquerones and these were good ones. I was curious about the harissa and lamb scotch egg. it was tasty and came with celeriac, but I don't think I'd have it again. On the first night I ordered what I thought was the pulpo, octopus, but what I received was the pluma, grilled pork. The friendly waitress offered to swap it, but I kept it, thinking that I'd have the pulpo the following day. But the pluma was quite delicious and I had it the next day as well. The wine list is quite small and the markup is quite high. The desert menu was also quite small, but there were several things that appealed. The chocolate pot with extra virgin olive oil and salt was delicious and larger than I thought it would be. I will be trying to make it at home. I had it with an espresso martini, which was something quite new to me, and absolutely heavenly. At lunch I had strawberry and vanilla ice cream with mandarin sorbet - lovely. On the second night I decided to have cheese. This came in small or large, with little biscuits and quince. There was supposed to be compote, but none appeared. There were three cheeses - manchego, picos blue and a third one whose name I can't remember. They were good, but came in very small portions. Service was very good. I think I'll try more of the London Pizarro places before making my way back to Esher.

We stayed here for one night and it was lovely! Really clean and there was everything we needed. The coffee and breakfast was delicious too. We would definitely return.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful tapas
Decided to try The Swan as it was conveniently located for a meet up with friends. What a great choice it turned out to be. Friendly welcome and great service. The tapas were wonderful, so tasty. The only problem is it’s too far away from where we live to come weekly!
Be the first to ReplyDouble booked our booth
Outside booth booked online 4 days in advance. Arrived for 3pm lunch to celebrate two birthdays. Was told by waitress booth was double booked but she would check it out with the manager. 15 mins later no sign of either. We went looking for either and waitress had forgotten all about us and was serving coffee to another table. Eventually had manager's attention. Zero apology or offer of free drink for inconvenience just told "anything is fixable". Seated in booth 45 mins late. Food and service then good. Received email yesterday saying sorry we had cancelled our booking! Shan't be frequenting restaurant again. Have supported restaurant since it opened and prior to that when it was a traditional pub for 35+ yrs.

Exceptional drinks and tapas meal with a mate from Hinchley Wood. Croquettes of blue cheese/spinach, shrimps main, squid main and Patatas Bravas - absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and very nice service inside.
Be the first to ReplyGreat tapas portions and lovely staff
We popped in for a little lunch and just 3 tapas each x 3 was a veritable feast. Ella was great on suggestions to share and the local beers spot on. A great meet with friends and a fair price.
Be the first to ReplyAverage Service.
I recently visited, stood at the bar for 5+ minutes whilst no one acknowledged me. Staff were walking past sipping their own drinks. One staff member was arguing with a couple sitting at the bar. Once I eventually was served I asked if there was anywhere solo to sit for one quick drink only to be told “I’m not on reservations”. Very unhelpful. Bar member then said I could sit at one table for 30 minutes only for a disgruntled staff member to come over and get moody with me for sitting at said table. I explained I was only sitting where I was asked to and would happily move! Another member of staff then came over as I had been there a short while and showed me his watch and said I had to move in 10 mins.. (when I thought I still had plenty of time). The lady eventually found me a table but I must say by then I was happy to go. Staff were pretty unhelpful, visibly frustrated during the busy shift and on the whole rude. Shame as the setting is very nice and the food looked great.

I stood at the bar waiting to be served. The only person not being served and was completely ignored. I got someone’s attention eventually as they were standing straight in front of me and still not acknowledging me. I asked why I was being ignored as the female member of staff stood there sipping her drink and getting in the way of the male member who’s attention I got. I was told we are busy (no sign of that at the bar!) No apology at all was just very rude.
Be the first to ReplyBirthday celebration meal
We visited this gorgeous restaurant yesterday for my birthday with my husband. We ordered 10 different tapas and they were brought out over two hours at different intervals which was perfect. The service was prompt and friendly and our drinks were brought over when our glasses were finished. We also stayed the night in a lovely room which was really comfy, warm and a great shower. We will definitely come again to eat and stay. We thoroughly recommend this restaurant and rooms.

Exceptional Tapas, in the late afternoon in this venue. The Potato Bravas were exceptional and the Fish fritters were fantastic. Highly enjoyable grub.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Tapas
Have been wanting to visit here for a while so had an overnight stay on our way back from Windsor. Stayed in one of the rooms in a converted barn just behind the Swann Inn. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything you could need. The bed was comfy and the shower room was well done out. We had booked a table for 8:30pm so had a couple of drinks first. I was expecting a separate bar and dining area but it appeared you could either dine or just have a drink in the one main bar area which was nice as it felt alot more casual. The staff were lovely and friendly and as for the food, well both my partner and I agreed that it was the best meal we'd had for some time. We chose four tapas dishes each which came out intermittently as they were cooked. The croquettes were particularly scrumptious. We didn't receive one of our dishes and when we mentioned this to our server she was very apologetic and offered us free deserts to make up for it. This was great customer service but we declined as we were so stuffed anyway. Our meal, along with a tasty bottle of red wine came to just over £90. We were more than happy to pay this based on the quality of the food and service. If this place was closer we would be regular customers. Would definetly recommend and will definetly be back!
Be the first to ReplyNice tapas dinner and good service
I had only ever had drinks here before but a friend and I came for dinner and had a really nice time. Our waiter was lovely and attentive and the menu had a range of interesting tapas. The flavours were unusual and there was a good selection of vegetarian dishes. We plan to come back.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
Kept bringing other tables food to us then took part of our order to another table. Asked for the food at the same time but came apart. Shared a £26 paella which was supposed to be for 2 people and it was a very mean dish. Not a good portion. We were still hungry after. Lots of very young staff who seemed a bit lost. The service wasn’t great and very average food which is a shame as it’s a lovely spot. Won’t be returning
Be the first to ReplyFantastic
We booked the accommodation here for a night after the races, what a great place room was modern, comfortable spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious We also had food and drinks in the pub the staff were friendly, the food was fantastic we had paella to share and the chocolate pot and sticky toffee pudding. Would definitely reccomend and we will be back
Be the first to Reply!!!Best Restaurant for miles!!!
We had such a lovely time at the Swan Inn. Food was incredible - even full up we couldn’t stop eating it was that delicious! Large selection of wine and cocktails available - I recommend the Sangria Cava Pitcher for a hot day ;) Service was wonderful - food came at perfect intervals - had a gorgeous waitress, Inez I believe, who was really helpful, bubbly and kind - we all agreed that we haven’t had such a great service experience in a restaurant before. What a memorable evening! Can’t recommend the Swan Inn enough.
Be the first to ReplyTremendous Tapas
Just spent a great Friday night at the Swan sharing a selection of tapas with friends. Very imaginative menu, brilliant dishes cooked/prepared to perfection. the atmosphere was wonderful and all the staff were brilliant. Great place for a special occasion or a casual catch up with friends or family. Thank you.
Be the first to ReplyThis place needs an over-haul
Lunch booked outside but had to move inside due to loud building working noise and dust. Granted not the restaurant's fault but we suffered a rude waiter and a complete lack of service throughout. At one point, towards the end of our meal with all plates left in front of us for 30 mins or more, all the "staff" seemed to have disappeared. By this time we were the only folk in the place. The lavatory's urinal was blocked and the hot air dryer was broken. Food acceptable but very expensive.
