Tiny place with reasonable prices
Asked someone where to go for a bite and sent me here. Just a few blocks from the MTA rail station. Real deal place where I had a chicken kabob and a chicken and lentils patty for $5.5O ! No seating. Food was tasty.
Be the first to ReplyIts all about the food...and its EXCELLENT
I was introduced to this place about 6 months ago and I've been about 10 times. The place isn't clean...they don't have tables...on one occasion they undercooked my food...but...They literally have some of the most flavorful food I've ever had. Get the Kabob preferably chicken...its 2.99...and one is just about enough to fill you up. Also if you like spicy food get the chicken tikki...its pretty dang spicy but awesome. Get a nan...get really anything...everything is extremely flavorful. When I've had people come to visit me here in NY this is usually where I take them...this is what I like about NY.
Be the first to ReplyCheap and good
We got a huge kabob and while it was pretty good, the flavors were just a little off. If you’re in need of something cheap and warm, it’s a good choice, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for this place.

The food was to take out
At home placed on the table stated to eat but smelled of rotten meat and when touched the meat was completely raw! Don’t believe they could do this to customer s and charge them for it
Their chef shahji has been out of his mind that he put such a food forward and they whole batch of workers did not notice
We did not take it back as it was night, transportation costs and had to rush to work who could ker such stinking food in the fridge
So we threw it out and the garbage was taken out right away it was that bad
My advice please stay away
Be very very careful
Hole in the wall dishing out the best kebabs known to man [or woman]
True to their name, the kebabs at his place are off the hook. The kebabs are always made fresh but if you think they are not, just ask them to make them fresh for you. Very nice people, and helpful. The only only down side is that the place is super small therefore the food is always to go. They are open late into early morning, that's always a plus in case you have a kebab craving late in the night.
Be the first to ReplyDo not Miss these Kebabs anyhow!
This place is a small shop though, but has a pretty good loyal clientele. Do visit it anyhow as you won't find such good Kebabs anywhere in the world. This place was suggested to me by my cousin. The owners were lovely. I had great fun and i am ready to pay even a million to go and have Kebabs here. Just go!
Be the first to ReplyYummiest kebabs ever, but super spicy
You know you're in for trouble when even the yogurt is spicy : ) But no quibbles with the flavors and tenderness of the kebabs. Some of the best we've ever had in NY, hands down. The Gola kebab really is something special and just melts in your mouth. Glad we decided to stop!
Be the first to ReplyPretty decent food
Its strictly take out service, but the food is pretty tasty. If you like Bangladeshi / Indian cuisine. The piece does look a little scary but you dont eat there anyway.

Update to my last review:
They seem to have forgotten they're in restaurant business, they're rude and employees don't know what they're selling. In short, its like you're not welcome!
That was last year Decemeber’13 when I wrote a review about this place. This is eight months later. I tried to get Kulchay from my favorite place ‘Dera’ across the street from this Kababish joint, the gentleman at the counter there said they didn’t make them that day or something to that effect. So I decided to try this ‘Kababish’ place once again. I stepped in; the old lady at the counter was standing with her back to the entrance. I tried getting her attention by, “Assalamu alaikum,” no reply; instead she tilted her head backwards and jerked it like asking, “What?” I repeated a little louder, “Assalamu alaikum!” “Wa…..” the rest I didn’t hear. I asked, “Do you have Kulchay?” “$ 1.75 each”. It seemed she wasn’t very happy to see a customer. A very grouchy character the owner deputed at the counter. Why would she tell me the price when I asked if she had Kulchay? “Okay, give me six, but make sure they are Kulchay.” I said and stepped out of the congested little place. When they were ready, I opened the foil and it was Naans with sesame seeds. “No, no, I asked for Kulchay and I tried to confirm with you if you had Kulchay.” She said that’s what they always sold for Kulchay! I refused to take them and told her the difference. Naan are made using yeast, and Kulchay baking soda and baking powder. The worst thing being a person with no manners, rude and without knowledge, trusted by the owner to deal with public; also she knew full well I MEANT kulchay and not Naan. She kept me waiting for what I didn’t order and didn’t get. I left the store saying to myself, “Never again”. Is it so hard to say, "Sorry we don't make Kulchay"?
Oh no..not my cup of tea!
Spicy!...Anything, I mean anything I've bought except for the naans of course, was so spicy it felt going burning down my throat. My wife refused to eat the Chicken Tikka. Biryani? Biryani was full of spice. You know when some food makes you burp and it bites your throat. Yuck. Never again. Seekh kakabs were the same. Full of spice. Why do our Desi restaurant owners and chefs think that the key to their success is RED PEPPER, BLACK PEPPER and GREEN PEPPER? If people (besides Muslims) would like to have spicy food they'll go to a Mexican restaurant; there they'll get 80 different kinds of peppers that we Pakistanis can't dare to touch! You rub your fingers on them and your........(I'll be nice) toes would burn! Only thing I could enjoy was the piece of chicken breast charcoal. That's what kept me going there for a few times.
TIP:
If you can't take too much spice, go for Charcoal Chicken preferably breast piece is excellent with Naan.
Don't eat gravy dishes, they are way too spicy.
These people are pleasant though. They know how to treat their customers. They get an extra star for this.
