After wanting to try Kasama for months but always getting intimidated by the huge line, we finally sucked it up and went. Waited in line for 45 min for take out but apparently you can order take out online starting at 9 am and skip the line.... Wish we would've known! We tried the breakfast sandwich with longanisa, an iced "oh hot yam" latte and assorted pastries. The breakfast sandwich and coffee were out of this world!! My first time trying longanisa and it was delicious. The iced latte was flavored with ube and coconut and it was the perfect amount of sweet. So so good with unique flavors! For pastries we tried the black truffle croissant, cinnamon roll and the huckleberry basque cake. Was super excited to try the black truffle croissant but I was honestly pretty disappointed with this one. It had a strong truffle flavor but the filling tasted like a flavorless cream cheese. I expected a lot more for a $14 pastry. The cinnamon roll was also not very memorable. The huckleberry basque cake was really the only one I thoroughly enjoyed. It had a great balance of sweet and tart... would definitely recommend this one! Overall, I would come back for the breakfast sandwiches and coffee but would probably skip the sweets next time.
