Creamy fusion ramen was great.
It's the first time having truffle oil in the broth. Very flavorful. It was $45 with tax and tip for one bowl. However, i wish i didn't see these but the owner should learn how to take criticism better. i've never seen such horrible responses to reviews in my life. It's rude and unprofessional and has to be called out. Hard to continue to support someone like this.

Amazing amazing amazing food! I ordered the lamb chops and it was utterly mouthwatering. It was a bit spicy but I guess next time I will make it more on the mild side. Parking was a bit of a hassle but it was worth it. They say if the bathroom is clean then the kitchen is usually clean. The bathroom was incredibly clean and I loved how you could watch the chef make the food right in front of you. People were coming in and out of this place so it was pretty busy especially on a rainy Friday in Beverly Hills. Definitely one of the best noodle places I have ever been to! Very saucy and spicy.

I live pretty close to Kazan and had been curious for a while, especially when I saw it was a Michelin restaurant. I had some family visiting town who were interested in trying it, so we checked it out -- I'm very glad we did, and it was so good we ended up going twice in three days. We started with the Lotus Chips, which were so different and delicious -- we got them again the second time we went. For the first visit, I went for the Salt-based Soba Ramen with thick noodles, pork chashu, and shrimp wontons, and it was easily the best ramen I've ever had. The noodles are so fresh and perfectly cooked, the pork was so tender, and the wontons were amazing. And the truffle seasoning added to the dish just put it over the top.The second visit, I went for the Ouka Ramen to try something very different. It was still so delicious, but not as good as the Salt-based one; I learned that I prefer the thicker noodles and found that I really missed the wontons with this one. That said, it was still so good, and a great option if you're not a big truffle lover.Regardless of which dish you choose, if you're particularly hungry I would highly recommend adding additional noodles, as they're amazing. It may be on the pricy side for Ramen, but Kazan definitely justifies its price.
Be the first to ReplyWent in to see the hype for myself.
We went in at golden hour, just before dinner rush so were able to grab a seat at the bar right away. The service was kind and quick. Our bowls came within 10 mins, felt like less. We ordered the Creamy fusion with chashu pork and shrimp/pork wontons and Lamb in Lava. Both bowls were extremely rich, the Creamy heavy in oil and truffle; the Lava looks spicy but was actually not too bad spice level wise, I typically sweat when it's too spicy and I didn't so it was medium in heat level. Was hoping the chashu would be a bit more tender and melty, it was a tougher than we like. The lamb was seasoned nicely albeit a bit undercooked. We had the soba thick noodles for both bowls, a little chewier so maybe better with the skinnier noodles. We ended up leaving a lot of broth behind. Would love to see smaller portions of each bowl, maybe flight style so we could've tried more at one time. It was definitely overpriced so def not a regular go to but glad we tried it once!

I was expecting more from this place considering the owner started Tatsu. Boy was I wrong. I don't mind paying for pricey food if it's good. The lotus root ships, wings and lei ramen were bottom of the barrel. Tasted like gas station food. I give 2 stars because the service workers were exceptional!
Be the first to ReplyI ordered the Signature #1 with chicken and an egg.
The moment my bowl was placed in front of me I nearly swooned from the wonderful aroma of the broth -- and the taste more than equaled the delicious smell. Everything was perfectly cooked. It is pricy, likely due to the BH location, but the portions were generous and I am already making plans to return. Great service as well. The small outdoor patio is nice, and the gas heaters were on so even on a cold Sunday we did not freeze.
Be the first to ReplyFood was pretty good.
Way too expensive tho even for Beverly Hills. I got the garlic ramen dish and it did have a unique taste but overall I aint coming back. If I could give it 3.5 I would but ima just round up to help them out i guess.

I am a Daikokuya gal when it comes to ramen, so always feel guilty while slurping ramen at another place other than Little Tokyo's Daikokuya. Now that I got my guilt out of the way...I happen to stumble upon Kazan after a dental appointment while on my way to the 3rd Street/The Original Farmers Market/The Grove. As I walked by, house handmade noodles, caught my eyes. And then, ramen and cold beer sounded like a dream. I sat at their ramen bar area and had their Signature no. 1. On first two slurps, I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Truffle seasoning was a bit overwhelming, but then... Let me just say that it was uniquely delicious. This soy-based broth with truffle seasoning (oil) took a little getting used to, but certainly worth trying. While I did love the wontons in the bowl and did find overall dish to be interesting, I'm not sure if I will order this ramen again. It is very different if you are craving traditional pork broth ramen. They do have the pork broth ramen, which I may try that next time. Yes, I plan to return again since they have other interesting bowls of goodies on the menu. The service was excellent! I was greeted with a smile, seated promptly and really looked after.
Be the first to ReplyGreat if you're looking for something different.
Keep in mind the ramen is very expensive here but seems justified by how much effort goes into every bowl. I got to try the Signature #1 and the Lei Ramen. I would say the Signature #1 was better, but only if you really like truffles. The truffle flavor was very present, but it did balance well with the rest of the bowl. The overall flavor was very clean. As for the Lei ramen, it was more on the complex side and definitely more unique. The service here was okay, I came during lunch time, and they just seemed very short-staffed. Overall, I'd come back again, they have so many different ramens on their menu!

My car park in the parking lot was allowed by the restaurant. It was no one here in the parking lot when I arrived! But I was told my car will be tow away if I can't give them the key when I'm during the dinner time so Suddenly the man take me out.it's rude. Salad is a little bit sour I told the waitress, she said: it's rich.
