Finally KYU has emerged from its renovation with a fresh look and even fresher flavors. The revamped interior seamlessly blends modern elegance with cozy charm, setting the stage for a remarkable dining experience. The menu, while still featuring favorites, now boasts few new innovative additions. Each dish is a masterpiece of flavor. However, I found the bone marrow to be somewhat disappointing as it lacked substantial meat content. Service remains impeccable, with attentive staff who are passionate about creating unforgettable moments for guests.
Be the first to ReplyKyu recently reopened and I managed to get a reservation
Kyu recently reopened and I managed to get a reservation for this past weekend. My boyfriend and I did the Kyu Experience as this was highly recommended to us. All in all, I would not recommend doing it. It is wayy too much food to eat in one sitting and yes, you can take leftovers home but it's hard to stop eating when it's sitting in front of you! We left feeling uncomfortably full. They serve you full plates off the main menu. It starts with a crispy kale and a tuna crunchy rice piece. They then bring out a cauliflower goat cheese dish which is really good, but deceivingly filling. Then comes a Korean fried chicken which was our fav, served with a spicy sauce! Then comes a short rib which, again, was delicious, but we basically had to take the whole thing home! For sides, they brought a buttered sweet potato and broccolini. At the end, they bring you a dessert-- you have the option between a coconut cake and a s'mores cake. We opted for the s'mores but took it to go! Overall, the food was good and the vibe inside is amazing. We'll definitely be back at some point but will order just a couple entrees and a side!

I've always been a huge fan of kyu and I am happy to report that they did not disappoint. So happy they finally reopened. Few highlights from the menu: - cauliflower is out of this world - rice is delicious - short rib (not pictured) phenomenal - bone marrow (usually this is my favorite dish but I found it a bit oversalted) But besides the food, the service was hands down spectacular. All the staff was super attentive. 10 outta 10!

The most anticipated re-opening in Miami has finally happened The new look is so very industrial/minimalist and is such a vibe. You definitely need reservations because they were so packed. When I arrived at chose a seat at the bar over my table because I wanted a more social vibe. My bartender Dan was AMAZING and very attentive throughout the night. The food came out quickly and was just as delicious as I remembered.

I finally popped my KYU cherry! I came here for the re-grand opening because my friend was on a waitlist and a reservation became available the day before. I was so excited because they are booked out for a few weeks. It is an intimate space with sultry vibes. The decor is simple yet chic and the ambiance is giving cozy. They do have indoor and outdoor seating but for this one, I would recommend indoor if possible. The vibe is different. Once we were seated my friend immediately ordered the "Krunchy Kale" and I honestly felt like it was sent from the heavens. It's a huge serving and then they spray it with this aromatic mist that has fish oil, ponzu, lime and the kale itself has some kind of seasoning. Just order it and thank me later. Holy moly. We then ordered a smorgasbord of items off the menu because it is served "family style". Staples like the Korean fried chicken is a must because it is seasoned well and has a nice crunch. Fair warning, it has a kick so if you're sensitive to anything spicy this may not be the best choice for you. The cauliflower was delicious but I'm not a huge fan of goat cheese so I ate around it. The gyoza was a 10/10 but I needed like 5 more lol. That sauce is everything. Speaking of sauce, this restaurant knows what they are doing with their sauces. Everything dish came out with a perfectly made sauce that just made my taste buds perk right up. We also ordered cocktails and I highly recommend the SHE-SO SPICY that is spicy but still refreshing because it's made with patron blanco, cucumber, mint, and Thai chili to name a few. Of course there is always room for dessert so we tried the coconut cake and it is a light and airy dessert. Friendly reminder: This is in the heart of Wynwood so parking can be difficult to find. Valet is around 30 dollars so if you're in a bind and can't find parking I would recommend that or just utilize a ride share app. Either way, I hope your experience is as great as mine.
Be the first to ReplyGRAND REOPENING NIGHT: I really enjoyed KYU.
I had not been before the remodel but I can see what the hype is about. The food and drink were fantastic and the place was soo busy all night. It was slightly hard to hear others at the table, but the servers had no problem speaking up for everyone to hear. I like the clean aesthetic and the location. There is valet too which is nice. I recommend for a friends night, date, or even business dinner! Will return
Be the first to ReplyI was lucky enough to try KYU again.
Missed them dearly. The restaurant shines even brighter than before. The new dining room is beautiful and the staff was so friendly and thoughtful. Food hasn't changed at all and it got even better. It's been a long time since I've had an experience as I had at KYU. Truly exceptional.

So glad KYU is back! Food, drinks, and service are better than I remember. Love the new menu items and glad my favorite staples are still there and just as AMAZING! Short rib and coconut cake hit the spot. Had our dinner at the bar and ambiance/energy was on point. Thanks Bird, Fiona, and Fresco!

Be the first to ReplyFood is incredible.
.. too bad they've been closed for sometime. We would order a bunch of small dishes and share... from the broccolini, to the Bao buns to the roasted cauliflower and tirafitos. The space is very cool and industrial decor... let's see when and if they reopen. It's a fun place for great food and to take people from out of town for a different experience and food.

Kyu in Wynwood Miami is a trendy, Asian-influenced restaurant serving stylish patrons in an upscale yet relaxed ambiance. For dinner we had the tasting menu featuring crispy pork belly bao, roasted cauliflower over herb vinaigrette, tuna and hamachi crispy rice, perfectly crisp korean fried chicken, thai fried rice with crab, and fall-apart smoked short ribs. The meal was delicious and showcased different flavors and textures from across Asia. Kyu is worth a stop for those looking for a well-presented meal
Be the first to ReplyGood food over shadowed by condescending employee.
Very disappointed by the way we were treated, it definitely dampened the experience at KYU. We were a table of 12 celebrating my cousins birthday. The waiter demanded we order family style when we told him each of us wanted something different so it didn't work out. He then aggressively asked for the order and stated that this wasn't a Chili's and that we couldn't pay with 12 credit cards. At this point we were uncomfortable and assured him the bill would be taken care of appropriately but he still seemed bothered to attend our table. Water was never refilled and we had to flag down other waiters for our drinks and other things. Finally we had to call over the manager and explain to her our experience which she then offered us a dessert but honestly it's not even worth going back there to be treated the manner that employee did.
Be the first to ReplyTHIS is where I would take someone I love in Miami.
Kyu 1000% lives up to the hype. The service is amazing and the food is even better. The head of cauli is a must try! The red snapper is INCREDIBLE and moist. This place gets super packed so reserve ahead of time. On weekends there can even be a waiting list for the bar.
Be the first to ReplyI think this place is overrated.
The amount of food was really small and the ribs where literally burned even though they were really smooth the flavor was really bad. I only liked the coconut cake. The service was regular because I was celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and they didn't even put a candle. The ambience is normal, maybe good for drinks at the evening. I wouldn't recommend.

We went there a few months ago for my wife's sanity, I have to say that with the perfect atmosphere, comfortable and quick service, we can eat everything but our two favorites. Short ribs and octopus! Will definitely be back!
Be the first to ReplyFirst place in a long time where the hype is real! met all
First place in a long time where the hype is real! met all of our expectations. Well-prepared delectable plates with great presentations and flavors. The service was my favorite and that says alot since the food was high quality! We were a party of 4 and 2 of us arrived early- we waited for the other couple at the bar. While we were seated at the bar waiting for our drinks we noticed two gentlemen standing by the bar and were asking the bartender if anyone was leaving soon. the bartender told him as of now it looks like all seats are full and thats when my bf and i offered up our seats as we were just waiting for the other couple and didnt mind standing in the meantime. The bartender gave us a complimentary drink as a thank you which was also very sweet of him. As we got seated the waiter made sure to describe any dish we had questions on in great detail. He knew all the ingredients and assured us on our order. The quality of the food was also top tier! another nice note is that the use zak the baker bread which is a bakery near them and extremely fresh for the beef tartare.

This is one of my absolute favorites, the best fried rice I've ever had and the best dessert I've ever had, I recommend for my Asian food lovers!

Very friendly waiters -The cauliflower fell short of expectations, but the entrees were solid. The star of the evening was the s'mores dessert, which our group had arguably stated was one of the best desserts we've ever had. We will return for the dessert.

Definitely a treat yourself for me - i tried the lunch chef tasting menu. Honestly everything was so good - the fried kale was my least favorite, tried the fried chicken, tuna, rice, and the coconut cake YUM. So much food. $137 later. Worth it!

Unfortunately they are currently closed and so sad since they are an amazing restaurant. The food offerings are a bit smaller than other places but they are incredible! There isn't a bad plate in the place. We had a table of four so we shared some pairings and all enjoyed the different offerings. Personally loved their fried chicken and beef plate. Not to mention they're amazing drinks. I've had the best "old fashioned" that I have ever had here. Just perfect with an incredible taste. What an amazing place and never will disappoint.

Let me start by saying how fantastic the service was here!!! Super attentive and really personable! The food was fantastic, I visited with a vegan friend so we enjoyed all of the meatless options which were delicious. Roasted cauliflower in pumpkin miso, black bean steam bun and the Thai rice pot were all so tasty and beautifully presented. The Thai tonic drink with elder flower was a delightful mock tail as well. Highly recommend!

This places was popping! The vibe was really nice but the food was even better. The dishes are tapa style but bigger portions so you can share. Good place for couples date night. The staff was really pleasant. Please make reservations before you go or you can just sit at the bar like we did.
Be the first to ReplyDamien was fantastic and the food was impeccable.
We dined at Kyu two years ago and remembered every dish, two years later, Kyu left us with another memorable experience. Keep up the fantastic work--both front and back of the house:)
