Long wait with no updates
They need a better system for walk-ins. I was told it would be a 30-minute wait and I was seated 90 minutes later with no updates. Tables sat empty outside for 25 mins during that time. Once my name was called and they had forgotten I was a party of one, they sent me over to their sister restaurant. Classic bait and switch. If I wanted to go there, I would have put my name on the sister restaurant waitlist, right? Also, I was never told that I would be sent to a different restaurant and it did not appear any of the other waitlist folks were sent over there. Their bottled water was unfiltered and tasted awful. I was delivered wonderful condiments for bread…without the bread! After asking twice, it was delivered. The cut of the Tenderloin steak was beautiful although a little chewy. I also asked to have a smaller cut since I was single and I received the portion for two! Very disappointing. Buyer beware.

Steak just doesn’t get better than this!!Add to that the lovely service and amazing number of extra offerings in ramekins ( on the house!) and you have yourself a perfect and memorable dining experience
The best meats in Buenos Aires!!!
With a prior reservation, they prepared a table for us next to the window in a private room. We were 10 diners and we were treated wonderfully, with excellent meats and spectacular, varied and stimulating complimentary dishes to enjoy.

Excellent meat, great service. And the difference is that there are several sauces and small side dishes included in the price of the meat. Dulce de leche pancake was the best of the trip. They use Vacalin dulce de leche. I recommend!

My husband and I decided to walk to this restaurant for lunch, we thought there might be an opening…we did not have a reservation. We got there about 1/2 hour before it opened. The lady said we could sit outside but they opened at 12, which was fine so we walked around the area and came back at 12 when they opened. ….. but they didn’t open. People were standing outside even those with reservations. 12:10; 12:15……when will you open…12:30….what? Ridiculous, the least you could do is seat all your guests, give them water and menus….we left, who knows when they would really open. We waited long enough, especially when she told us they open at 12….this is a business.

Had a nice meal here. Had the kidneys to start and then a delicious dry aged steak. Very good! Nice starters as well. Great place.
Place to eat good meat!
Perfect combination of good food and good service. The waiter Pablo was impeccable in his friendliness and advice, especially so we didn't waste any choices that were very well served. The courtesies offered by the house were also an added shine. Great experience to end the trip!

Fantastic meal and service! We heard about the Sunday special seating at 6:30 PM and arrived at 6 PM to get our name in the list. Everyone who arrived early was seated and enjoyed a 40% discount as long as their meal was complete by 8 PM. The steak, chicken, salmon and accompaniments were delicious. Our waiter recommended a great Malbec, which was also discounted. Overall service was excellent. Allow yourself time after dinner to explore this area as there Is great shopping, music and bars.

It was recommended to me, I was there spontaneously, it was full (waiting in line), but I was still given a seat thanks to the great service from Krafft/Service Krafts Manager. The food and service was very good.
This is easily one of the best meals I have ever had.
The interior was quaint and romantic (a little loud, crowded, and hot, but it wasn't anything unbearable). It had everything you'd expect of a steakhouse, but with an almost Italian touch to it? Our server was amazing. Incredibly helpful, quick, had great recommendations, and would oftentimes come around to our table with new sauces to try dipping our steak, fries, and bread in. To start, we had the assorted breads, each of which had its own distinct taste and every one of them was delicious, especially when dipped in the accompanying sauces! After that, we tried their empanadas, which were, again, outstanding (AND THE SAUCES!). I ordered a steak with a bleu cheese sauce over it and I'm not exaggerating when I say I've never had a better bleu cheese sauce in my life. I absolutely devoured it. Once again, the SAUCES that came with the steak were amazing! We had so many sauces at our table by the end that we were running out of room for everything! We had fries as a side and they were perfectly crispy and seasoned. Dessert was a huge surprise. We saw some servers walking around with it, so we had to get it... It was four scoops of ice cream with cones stuck on top. It looked like normal ice cream, but each and every flavor was absolutely amazing. We ate it all up. I cannot recommend this place more highly! Definitely make a reservation if you plan to go. There was a long line outside when we left!

Food is mediocre.
My steak is almost raw and I ordered medium. It was so busy there is no service. Our waitress was the worst ever had. We have to call multiple times to just order. 3 people sitting by the table she only brought two glasses and one of them was very chipped at the edge. Did the same for wine glasses too. Never come back to check on us. Our food coming in totally different time. I almost finished mine the. My kids meal finally came. My son has to grab the next table's olive oil and vinaigrette for our salad because she didn't bring them to us. Expecting no service when you come to this place.

I ate here with three other women on the weekend of the Taylor Swift Eras tour, and we were a bit nervous that the restaurant would be overcrowded and touristy. We were pleasantly surprised that was not the case. We had an absolute feast of steak, veggies, salad, bread, and wine for about $100 USD (including tip). We ate during the earlier shift and had plenty of time to finish our food before needing to leave for the next shift. The steaks are HUGE!

It was about an hour wait but it was worth it. Can't wait to go back again. There's a but tho... avoid at all costs to go to the restrooms while you're eating. Doors are see through and it's something I do not want to see while I'm happy about my meal.

Excellent place to dine!!! We were a party of 45 and the service we received from beginning to end was beyond our expectations!! The food and drinks were amazing! I had the BEST Cesar salad I have ever had in my life at La Cabrera! It had fresh grated parmesan, thick chunks of bacon and the dressing was tasty and they weren't stingy, it was big enough for 4 of us to share. Pricing was excellent as well we all are very well. We had steaks, wine salads and the bill was only $600 USD for all of us!!! Also this place was so cute ambience was great! Will definitely be a place that we shall visit when we return to Argentina.

While this place has a long wait and might be a bit touristy, it is probably the best meal we had the whole time we were in Argentina. While it does appear you can make reservations ahead of time online, we came on a busy Friday night and still didn't have to wait much more than 30-40 minutes, which was fantastic since we couldn't stop drooling every time the waiters would walk by with a sizzling steak. We had a salad (delicious after relatively few vegetables elsewhere) and the dry aged Argentine ribeye, which was absolutely delicious. The sides and the bread were all delicious as well - the eggplant cheese spread as well as the carrot puree were so good I'll be trying hopelessly to recreate them at home for years to come. The value of the meal, given the USD exchange rate, was so good I would have gone back again if my stomach could tolerate it. I'd recommend this place to anyone coming to visit CABA for a classic Argentine grilled meal!

The food was amazing! Steaks, fries, sweet bread as an appetizer, Caesar salad. Also a bunch of extras provided to go with fresh baked bread.My only complaint was with the online reservation system which didn't flow through to staff. Luckily I had a paper copy of my reservation or it likely wouldn't have been accepted. The place was packed for an early dinner with walk ups on Saturday evening. A line forms before opening so be ready to wait if you don't have a reservation.

Absolute s**t show. Booked well in advance. Arrived, made to queue, greeter has poor attitude, finally sat us (couple) at a table for 8. These guys have got too complacent. We walked out. There are far better restaurants in BA, go to Don Julio instead, they’ve got great customer service.

We returned here after an excellent experience 15 years ago and are pleased to say La Cabrera is still fantastic. The steaks are so much better than anything else I experienced in Argentina during this trip. Portions are huge and a number of complementary side dishes are offered during the meal. Hugely popular so booking recommended though you can add you name to a walk in list. We did this at 8pm and managed to get a table by 9pm.

We were able to get a table without a reservation on a Thursday night. I wanted to order a dry aged ribeye medium well. It came medium rare. I had to send it back. Then I got a house Malbec and the restaurant charged almost 4,000 peso. My husband ordered ribs. That was terrible. I am not sure why people are saying steak in Argentina is the best. We tried Don Julio and now here. Steaks are chewy. I can't cut. It has too much fat. For me, American steaks are much better.

Another great steakhouse in Buenos Aires, reservation is a must but can come earlier to put your name down to be on the walk-in list. We went for lunch with no reservation but came in right when they opened and put our name on the list and they told us to come back at a certain time. Afterwards we got seated about 5 to 10 min from the time noted to come back. We opted for outdoor seating, which was nice was able to enjoy the weather. We ordered appetizers of empanadas 4 pieces, half portions of morcilla & chorizo, Tomahawk steak. This was plenty for 3 people, we had left overs. Our table was also served a nice bread basket, and our meal came with sides. The food was delicious and our Tomahawk was cooked perfectly medium. Overall the food was good, but the service was kinda okay, we needed refills on our drinks and it took them a while to check on us, but not sure if it's because we were outside.

We were more than 30 minute late of our reservation but they still honored it. The meats, condiments are all so delicious. I over ordered but finished everything. Didn't even leave room for the free lollipop tree!

1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at La Cabrera Palermo to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at La Cabrera Palermo!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
