This review is severely delayed as we had the pleasure of dining here in June. In the spirit of keeping things short and sweet, I'll just say that La Condesa is simply spectacular. We ate at several Michelin starred restaurants while in Paris and this was hands-down our favorite. The service, wine, food, presentation - all impeccable. The marriage of textures and flavors, and the Chef's attention to detail was all exquisite, and of course each dish was beautiful. I found myself admiring each one and savoring every bite. The gracious and accommodating staff elevated an already first-rate experience. This is fine dining at its best, and I can't recommend La Condesa highly enough. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable last meal in Paris!

Michelin rated restaurant and absolutely amazing. There are a 7 course option and I recommend that.

La CondesaWe have been dining at La Condesa since 2017, before Chef Indra received his Michelin star. The most accurate description of consummate success is not resting on the laurels showered upon you. Yearning for growth and development, once your skills have been acknowledged, is very difficult. Yet, Chef Indra has traveled the world during his success, learning culinary techniques in South America, Asia, and beyond. This last visit to La Condesa in Spring of 2022 was amazing, our meal in two or three star status, if that's an apropos measure of cooking talent.Showmanship is useless if the food doesn't resonate with taste sensations that are mind boggling, but La Condesa now creates a dining experience on par with our meals at Arzak in Bilbao, and AM in Marseille, two of our most transcendent meals. To describe each dish would be unfair to enjoying La Condesa. While there are shrines to cooking majesty in Paris people flock to, a culinary visit is incomplete without dining at La Condesa.

La Condesa, an absolute favorite Parisian restaurant of mine, wowed two friends I was introducing to Paris. Chef Indira has grown in confidence and talent, as he travels the world, continuing to learn new technique and the use of new ingredients from cultures far from Paris. His loyalty to his Mexican roots remain, while his repertoire expands. Our lunch may have been my best La Condesa meal ever, and I may be sniffing multiple Michelin stars. Presentation has grown exponentially, but the fabulous bursts of flavors also keeps stretching boundaries. It is astonishing how La Condesa maintains its down to earth, unfussy, ambiance while serving such world class food. A trip to Paris is incomplete without a visit to La Condesa.
Be the first to ReplyJust a fantastic restaurant.
We went for our honeymoon while in Paris, and couldn't have had a more fantastic experience. I have a shellfish/fish aversion, and they were more than accommodating. We also got a chance to spend time with the chef, Indira, who came out to personally great us - and made a point to walk each guest to the door at the end of the meeting. The food was great - we did the 6 course tasting menu, which is really 9 including the apertifs. Strongly recommend the wine pairings - we like 5 of the 6, but worth trying new and different types from all over Europe and the US.

This review is about 6 months late, but better late than never!! We had a wonderful experience at La Condesa. Chef Indra displayed a creative fusion of plates that dazzled our tastebuds!! His use of different influences including French, Mexican, and Indian were a true delight. También estuvimos muy orgulloso que este maestro de comida es mexicano!! Felicidades!!

Wow. This dining experience was unbelievable! The staff, the food, the presentation, the chef - just amazing. We feel lucky to have had the experience!!
Be the first to ReplyThe chef is extremely well accomplished and perfectionistic.
He is friendly and welcoming. He borrows flavors from a variety of cuisines. Service was outstanding. All dishes were good and some outstanding including a beetroot composition with herring sauce. With some dishes the flavors didn't come together. The wine program is in its infancy. The chef is trying to be as experimental with international wines but the selection falls short. It's hard to imagine why he would reach to California for wines that were really not that special. There were several wines that are just okay.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for Friday evening dinner.
Super intimate spot that slowly filled up as the night went on. We were the first table seated at 7, but by the time we left the place was buzzing. There was only one option on that eveining - a 6 course tasting menu, but it was very reasonably priced (especially given how expensive fine dining in Paris can be). I've had a lot of very good food in my life, so if I can remember a dish a week later, that's a big success. That being said, the beet and mackerel dish from La Condesa stands up there with some of the best I've eaten - such an innovative dish with flavors I never thought would pair well together, but that somehow worked. We paired our dinner with a great bottle of rose (sadly, despite my time in France I still don't know anything about wine). Do note that the champagne that's offered at the beginning is not complimentary (though it is yummy)! The chef, Indra Perea, was in the kitchen as I suspect he is every night and graciously greeted us on the way out. He has an international background with cooking stints at Pujol and Noma, and you can see all of those influences in the meal.Service was friendly throughout, and not overbearing.

Have dinner reservations for tomorrow evening, but prior to my reservation (and will update post-meal), I am compelled to highlight the outstanding customer service from La Condesa. Made reservations a few weeks ago for this weekend for a party of 3, had an additional friend ask to join last minute and sent a quick email to the restaurant. They have called me twice in the states to determine how they could accommodate our extra person despite being fully committed for the evening. So impressed with their willingness to go above and beyond, accommodate a last minute request from an unknown guest from the states. Am looking forward to the meal even more now!!

I heard about this restaurant from friends of mine in Bordeaux said that I should not miss this experience. I'm so grateful to them and now, to the master chef, Indra Carrillo Perea, who is the visionary artist that guides La Condesa. EVERY member of the staff is so gracious and welcoming and exquisitely professional.... And the food is just amazing. The imagination that is at work here is glorious. The flavors, the textures, the colors... It is just "over the moon" wonderful. Go to the website to see the press and the reviews... And when you come to the restaurant, you will see diners who are in heaven. Thanks to everyone at La Condesa.

I enjoyed the best meal I have ever experienced in Paris, and one of my all time favorites at La Condesa. This is a truly special restaurant, not to be missed. The food is fresh, creative and most importantly delicious. We enjoyed the Friday evening chef's tasting menu and each course outdid the last, from perfectly cooked fish to deeply flavored sauces. The chef, Mr. Perea and entire staff were welcoming and delightful. I felt hosted like a guest in his kitchen. The restaurant is intimate and understated and perfect for relaxing to enjoy a remarkable meal.

Amazing creative cuisine from young Mexican chef Indra Carrillo, who, not even 30 years old, has worked in the kitchens of the Meurice and Bristol, Enoteca Pinchiorri, Astrance, Noma and Pujol. (Truth be told, he has been cooking on and off in professional kitchens since he was 12 years old). Apart from cooking, he has also studied chocolate-making, pastry and fish mongering. The 30€ lunch menu is one of Paris' best deals. For those hungrier, there are 4 and 6 course tasting menus (and he'll even go up to 10 if you ask nicely. One to watch.
