This was our second time to Lake and Irving, this time as a party of 6, the first time with 5, and both times everything has been outstanding. I would usually be suspicious of a restaurant that serves all different kinds of foods like this - poke bowls, burgers, sushi, fried chicken sandwiches, pork belly sandwiches, even pasta on the specials menu. Most restaurants can't do that range of food justice. But somehow all this food has a through-thread (I guess Asian Fusion influence?) that ties it together and every single item is outstanding. Truly both times we have gone every single person has gotten a different dish and loved it. Head to Uptown and give it a try, it is well worth it.

The food was good, nice options, something for everyone. Very nicely decorated, very comfortable space. Parking is an adventure, but welcome to lake street! Highly recommend...
Overall Lake and Irving is just okay.
I was severely disappointed by the lack of flavor on my chicken sandwich, no salt, no pepper, unfortunately it tasted like nothing. I ate half and took the rest home. I ended up adding an egg to it and that made it better. Service is good, this is your typical neighborhood bar. You could certainly be a local here. All in all the food wasn't great so I probably wouldn't come back to eat but they do trivia and if definitely return for that!

Luxe burger: this is the finest, most exquisite burger experience of my life. If this is the last burger I ever eat, I won't be disappointed. All other burgers will exist in the shadow of the Luxe Burger

Shout out to Gerald he was a great server he took great care of us when we visited. The chicken sandwich was delicious I got the ghost cheese so it had a wonderful kick of spice. I'd skip the side salad next time. Truffle fries were good. Perfectly crispy and hot. I also really enjoyed the charred green beans. My husband said his Luxe burger was cooked well and very juicy. The jungle bird was delicious, I'd definitely get it again. This spot is pretty solid with the food, the service and the music!

My husband and I went here for dinner on a Saturday with a reservation at 7 PM. The place was busy upon our arrival, but we were seated within 5-10 minutes. The hosts were welcoming and professional, and I liked the ongoing explanation. Once we were seated, a staff came by with water. Our waiter stopped by and took our drink order. The wait staff seems knowledgeable about bourbons. My favorite part was the food! It was delicious! I love the complimentary corn nuts. The appetizers were fresh and flavorful. My husband said it was the best mole he had ever had. (He lived in New Mexico for a bit). The hanger steak dish was delicious. I love the black beans as it was prepared well. Finally the dessert was amazing! The whip on the tres leches look homemade. I love that the churro was chocolate filled. We will be back.
Stopped in from some brunch on a cold morning.
The bartender was one of the nicest persons that I've met. He seemed genuinely happy to see us there and gave great recommendations on the food. The buttermilk chicken sandwich and the brisket hash were amazing. We are happy that we stopped in and will definitely go back!
We came here before a show at Uptown Theater.
We were late to our reservation due to snowy weather, but the host was very accommodating and understanding. We sat at the bar since we were short on time; the bartender was super efficient and took care of us right away. We ordered the cheeseburger and chicken sandwich. I liked the cheeseburger more, while my husband liked the chicken sandwich the best. It's a cozy spot - plenty of people were enjoying a date night or after work happy hour.

Experienced the Valentine's Day prix fixe menu which was delightful and delicious. A Prosecco toast to start--seated by the window and it was snowing outside so felt like we were in a romantic snow globe. The first course--boo and I each got something different--crab arancini was so creamy and the spicy tuna crispy rice w caviar had excellent texture and flavor! He got the steak, I got the Honolulu yellowfin tuna which was perfect. Chef Chris worked in Hawaii and you can tell by the beauty and flavor of this dish--tuna was fresh and flown in from HI. I have a mango allergy and they were very accommodating, bringing an alternative sauce for my yellowfin. Don't sleep on Lake & Irving--an Uptown Establishment!
Good for conversation. Interesting Japanese-American fusions.
We tried Lake and Irving for the first time. The interior creates a good space for conversation. The service was prompt and knowledgeable. My dining companion felt that his fish entree tasted “off” and so the server returned it without complaint and substituted an alternative entree without charge. I began with a non-alcoholic ginger lemon cocktail which was delicious. This went with tempura fried lion’s mane mushrooms which were also delicious. My entree was tofu with ginger scallion sauce. The vegetables on which the tofu was bedded was unexpectedly sweet. This was a Japanese-American fusion that didn’t seem to me to work. The description had me expecting savory and umami. For dessert there was a salted caramel sauced cheesecake. It was very good with crunchy bits of toffee in the caramel sauce that made a nice textural contrast. All around it was pretty good with excellent service.
Great place by all measures
Everything about or chat was 5/5 starting with the convenient parking behind the restaurant. We were warmly greeted when we arrived. The space was very interesting and the seating comfortably. Our server was very friendly, engaging and knowledgeable about the menu. We had some allergies and restrictions and he was on top of everything. The drinks were great. The menu had a lot of different types of things to choose from and everything exceeded expectations. We will be going back!
Just have fries at the bar while getting hammered.
This place has limited the menu to just a few choices - mostly burgers and bar food. I wouldn’t recommend it for fine dining or even casual. Probably a fun place to get hammered with your guy friends. It’s sad because this place used to have fish and chips and an amazing brunch. It may be part of the decline of Uptown and the relatively low density of street traffic. Also the chicken wings were on the edge of spoilage. Maybe pass on that selection.

Lake & Irving offers a welcoming dining experience with masterful culinary offerings! The culinary offerings at Lake & Irving were mouth watering and satisfying. We came during lunch, mid- week and were thrilled. Well-curated cocktails and wine. We had incredible service, who offered paired recommendations, which were pleasantly crafted. Very attentive and friendly. Everyone who works here, enjoys their job! Copay atmosphere, somewhat challenging parking well worth the dining experience. Highly recommend!

* MaternalRecord73 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to MaternalRecord73 for any questions Peter may have as MaternalRecord73 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* MaternalRecord73 now uses their connections at Lake & Irving Restaurant & Bar Edina to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If MaternalRecord73 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
