Overpriced
Although the char kway teow is quite nice, however, the prices are a bit overboard at $5/8/10. Went on a weekday nite and the queue was quite decent.

The current owner is the second generation. I understand from my friend whoโs staying around the hawker centre that the father was the originator.
Each plate was fried individually to maintain consistency. Dry in a good way and definitely not those type thatโs overflowing with sweet sauce. The wok-hei was present on my plate and the cockles used were fresh and juicy. Whatโs char meat teow without them!
Try it and never regret
My hubby is a huge fan of laofuzi fried Kway Teow for years. We stopped eating for a while but the standard is still there. Not very oily and they have few strands of vegetables to make it health? Haha. Not too sweet and the taste is just right and nice. We packed home and only ate like 2 hours later and the noodles also did not turn soggy. Thumbs up!

The Old Airport Road Hawker Centre is full of great local delicacies. But this Lao Fu Zhi Fried Kway Teow standard had drop so much. The Fried Kway Teow had only the colour, but the yellow noodles is not soft, still abit hard, but the kway teow fried until too soft, besides there isn't any fragrance of a fried kway teow. It is over price too, S$5 for small, S$8 for medium and S$10 for large. Not worth
Be the first to ReplyMost famous char Kway Teoh in old airport hawker centre
Not knowing this was famous and a Michelin guide restaurant , you can tell by the long queues at this hawker centre . The old uncle cooks a one to one order . I ate the black sauce one which has the little clams in it. The mix of hor fun and egg noodles is just right with crunchy bean shoots and flavoursome sauces .

Review by Dr H C Matthew Sim. Good Fried Kway Teow. Above the average Fried Kway Teow. There is one better stall but in other part of Singapore but this Kway Teow will do. Michelin Bib Gourmand 2018. At Old Airport Road. Very crowded during peak lunch and dinner. No air-con. Long queue at stall. Go early say at 5pm for early dinner. Review by Dr H C Matthew Sim.
Be the first to ReplyTaste bad!
I am not sure how this stall can still survive! Tasted horrible and like you they never fried properly with enough heat. Taste so blend and noodle is still spongy ! This is not the standard for fried kway Teow! Looks like they precooked the noodles and put back to reheat and added cockles and bean sprout. Not worth as it is not cheap either .. not worth a try anymore either white or Black Color kway Teow. I wonโt eat again..
