To say that this dining experience was breathtaking may be an understatement. As always let's start with the service. We had the pleasure of André and Leslie, along with a few others who's names I didn't catch, guide us through our evening. They were kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, professional, and both gracious and complimentary. The manager, who I assume was checking in on our tasting, was the perfect balance of friendly yet unobtrusive. When you go to a restaurant when it has 2 Michelin stars and the founding chef has 36 (the most to date) we felt it important to eat out of our comfort zone a little. We both enjoyed the winter tasting menu, mine went the route of wagu, sweetbreads, and lamb, while my fiancé went the le céleri, mushroom consummate, and lobster. The courses were divine and the real "out of the box" choice was the sweetbreads and I can honestly say they were not what I expected and my mother was correct, they really are delicious. It was my birthday and our engagement celebration and they made the evening even more special than it already was. Placing more desserts in front of us that we could finish; it was hard to have to put down our forks and throw in the towel. The presentation of every dish was meticulously detailed and being that we sat at the chef's table, we were able to watch artistry first hand. Something random that I feel is worth mentioning is the noise level, the kitchen seems to flow like a Russian ballet, not once could you hear the chefs and assistants talking to each other, but their movements were nothing less than graceful.
