Over the top experience!
We have been to many restaurants in Key West over the years and enjoyed every single one from very casual (flip flop/sand on the floor) to high end (white tablecloths/crystal wine glasses). Latitudes is in a class of its own. First, the lovely, 10-minute ferry ride from the Opal Hotel marina to Sunset Key was a beautiful way to see the harbor. The restaurant itself is GORGEOUS. Both inside and on the waterfront patio are beautiful. The food and service were top notch. Ty was out waiter; attentive, personable, knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the lobster risotto, swordfish, grouper, and salmon. All were excellent. The ferry ride back was at the perfect time as we saw a magnificent sunset. Be prepared to open your wallet as this place is pricy but worth the splurge.
Be the first to ReplyFor breakfast or dinner, you can't go wrong with Latitudes
If you are lucky enough to get a reservation for dinner I would say you are in luck. The food, while a bit pricey, the atmosphere and quality of the food and service back it up. We were able to go for both breakfast and dinner. I enjoy breakfast just for the simple fact you start the day taking the little water taxi over and are dropped off right near the water. And for dinner, the experience is quite wonderful. As the sun sets, the place l lights up with tiki torches making it feel you are on an island off somewhere in the Caribbean. No matter what you decide to go with to order, odds are it will be delicious.
Be the first to ReplyBirthday Dinner
we ate dinner here for my wifes birthday. As you can see from the photo below, a spectacular view from our table. Food and service were top notch. Its not cheap but well worth the money for the food and view. Leave yourself time to explore the marina area prior to dinner (where you pick up the ferry to the location) Its very pretty with some nice views and shopping. Make your reservation as early as possible as this place is very popular.

Fantastic! It was a most enjoyable and delicious dinner with amazing ocean views in a lovely setting! Well worth the planning and the short excursion from Key West.

Beautiful setting with sunset views at latitudes but the service was a bit slow. A mixed drink(cosmos)had to be sent back as it was too bitter.... Perhaps they left out the Cointreau. Caesar salad was good but no anchovies occurred on mine. The pasta carbonara was 50% partially cooked bacon in big chunks and overwhelmed any of the shrimp and pasta sauce with a smoky bacon flavor. I did take it home and took a picture enclosed to notice how much bacon was present. Have been here many times. This was really disappointing. Attention should be paid to detail more and more rather than less and less. Wife rated her salmon dish has three and a half..
Be the first to ReplyNot to be missed on your visit to Key West
This is a must go to experience restaurant in Key West. You board the boat just behind the Opal Resort on the pier. Arrive 10 minutes before departure time and there is parking that is conveniently located right beside the hotel. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated promptly, so no need to race off the boat to be first in line, we came last and there was no wait. We had excellent service throughout our meal. We were always checked up on, our drinks were never empty, we never needed to chase down staff, everyone was professional and efficient. The food was wonderful, and there was a good assortment of wines to choose from. The plates were generous but not over the top, the right portion sized for a more upscale restaurant. We were fortunate to catch the sunset on a beautiful warm evening and caught the boat back to the mainland with little wait time. Don’t miss this place when you visit Key West and book a reservation well in advance to secure a table. It is well worth it.
Be the first to ReplyGREAT EXPEREINCE
We took the boat over to the island and had lunch, I had the coconut shrimp, my wife had a salad and our friend had a salad, ALL three of the meals were FABULOUS! So, FABULOUS that we have booked dinner next year in January 2025. The view and waiter and everything about this was GREAT.

This was an amazing breakfast experience. Wonderful food, stellar service and the vibe can’t be beat. 10/10 recommend!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and service with a view
Went here for dinner with my wife and our son and his wife. The boat ride over from Key West was short and uneventful. Our table was ready upon arrival and we sat out on the patio. Beautiful view of the water and sunset. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Everyone got what they wanted to eat. We were very happy that we could mix main courses with the sides from other items on the menu. My only complaint was that my filet was cooked medium while I ordered it medium rare, but since I also like it that way things were okay. The desserts were also very good. All in all an enjoyable experience for a special occasion!

Went over for dinner this time. We sat at the bar with Smithers, a most excellent and attentive bartender! Food was outstanding as always, we shared several small plates. Shrimp were large and plump! The tuna was SO fresh! And as always, the views are stunning!

Key lime martini and tuna poke was very good, we enjoyed our dinner , highly recommended. We will try breakfast next time
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful Restaurant with Excellent Food
The menu offerings and food we enjoyed were much better than past visits. There were so many good menu offerings, it was difficult to choose. It was nice to see expanded offerings. Our food was excellent and the best meal I've enjoyed at Latitude's.
Be the first to ReplyLovely dinner and breakfast at L’Attitude
We stayed at the lovely Opal Key Resort, sister resort to Sunset Key (L’Attitude’s location); that meant a few steps to the boat and an ability to charge to the room. We had a lovely dinner and a breakfast here. The atmosphere is sophisticated casual. The bar service was spot on with fresh herbals and fruits that enhanced the quality of the drinks. The wine list is impressive and reasonably priced. The service was perfect - attentive but not obtrusive. We loved the fresh seafood options with great attention to preparation. We found multiple restaurants in Key West that overcooked fish and shrimp, but not here! Breakfast was outstanding too; the crab eggs Benedict was spectacular. We loved the outdoor seating for our sunset dinner and for our early breakfast. Make your reservations well in advance!
Be the first to ReplyBest restaurant in Key West
What a superbly wonderful setting. Exquisite food. Nice wine list and great service. More than worth to take the free boat ride from the Key West Harbor (be very much on time!!) to this little off-shore island. Especially with a great sunset! Best place in Key West.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing fine dining experience
This was a disappointing experience. I brought a group of six for a nice birthday lunch for two of my guests. The staff all the way around had very low personal communication skills. Not a language thing, a personality thing. First, The young lady ushering us into the boat then to the restaurant upon arrival would speak to me at all. At the table, our drinks orders were taken and served in a reasonable amount of time, the waiter was fine but just warm. My experience last year was with a very engaging lady. Then, we waited an hour and a half for our lunch. When delivered, my meal wasn’t served. After waiting another 10-15 minutes the waiter brought the wrong meal. Then, after another 10-15 minutes I did receive the right meal. My group had already finished their meal. It was a very awkward and disappointing dining experience. Also to mention, the pepper shaker was electric but didn’t work. So, one of our guest took it into the restaurant to ask for another and was greeted by the hostess with “that’s not my job”. WOW, not let me find someone to help you, WOW!!!. Afterwards, I asked to speak with the manager. Upon arriving at my table, I stood and respectfully told her, Wendy, that I didn’t want any comps nor would I punish the waiter by not tipping. Then proceeded to explain a restaurant is only a restaurant and a nice view is just that, but what makes fine dining at a nice place like this memorable is the experience with the staff. So, my only ask was that she fix her staff and process issues for the next guest. She never asked what happened, what was my experience nor what would I suggest. I immediately understood why the staff was so bland. I then told her that I had been here each of the last two years prior but never again. This was not the wonderful birthday experience I was anticipating. Very saddened.
Be the first to ReplyPoor service and food quality for the price.
They set the bar very high in terms of service and food quality, and DO NOT deliver. Do not try to suggest improvements and you will be told that you are wrong repeatedly. Much better options on land in Key West.

Awesome view, great food and service, and fun to have to take a boat over to this exclusive place, Would highly recommend
Be the first to ReplyBest Key West Restaurant
This is the finest restaurant in Key West. The food here is well prepared. For appitisers the lobster bisque or onion soup is very good. The Maine lobster + jumbo lump crab cake is excellent. For entrees the seared grouper, grilled swordfish or Caribbean lobster risotto are outstanding. For dessert the key lime pie, beignets or exspresso cheesecake are delicious. Lattitudes has an elegant upscale ambiance with a beautiful ocean view. Go out of your way to come here.

Here are some thoughts on our lunch at Latitudes: Service was excellent and very attentive. We had a table right on the water with spectacular views. It was lunch so we decided to keep it more casual. I had their Turkey Club and it was perfect. My husband had the Group sandwich and thought it was really good. Of course we ended with Key Lime Pie - Delish! The boat ride was very quick and ran quite a bit so we didn't have any trouble getting a ride back to the island.
Be the first to ReplySERVICE WAS ALMOST NON-EXISTENT!!
The location is 5 star and the scenery is breathtaking. Our waiter, Azi... (long name) took our drink orders after we were seated for 20 minutes. After we got our water and juices, he waited about 30 minutes to take our food order. We did not see Azi after that for a long time. However, we noted other groups were finishing and/or had finished their breakfast and were boarding the boat. I went inside and inquired what the issue was and said that an adjustment on my bill should be made . The gal in the front lobby asked to me to show her that table we were seated at. After complaining, another waiter brought our food out within 5 minutes. The telling thing is that the food had been sitting awhile since some of it was cold. We had them take it back to get heated. Also, my key lime pancakes were burnt on the bottom. I ate them anyway since I was so hungry by then. We shall never return to Latitudes. If you go, beware of Azi the waiter. Besides non-existent service, he will let your cold go cold.

Take a 20 minute boat ride to Sunset Key island. apparently a favorite of Oprah, this hidden gem has delicious food and class A service. Latitudes Restaurant is a “ must do” culinary experience if are looking for a quaint, romantic dinner in Key West! professional service, and delicious beverages!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent dining experience
Our table of 5 had an excellent experience at Latitudes. From cocktails to wine, appetizers to entrees and desserts, everything was top notch - but the Snapper was the best. The ambiance is priceless, and the sunset view is something we'll remember for a while. Vanja was fantastic, appearing when we needed something, providing guidance, and a welcoming smile. We never felt rushed. Truly a top notch experience we hope to repeat soon. We enjoyed many Key West spots with good food, service, and views, but Latitudes is in a class of its own. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Be the first to ReplyDoes not disappoint
The entire experience was wonderful. Boarding the ferry and being met by the hostess was seamless. Had a wonderful table with a beautiful view. All of the palm trees are lit for night time dining making for an awesome atmosphere, our server was very helpful with recommendations for food. We shared a fresh Buratta salad to start. Cheese was wonderful but the sauce was delicious. The lobster risotto I had was well worth the price. A perfect sized lobster tail sat on top of perfectly cooked and creamy risotto. My husband had the snapper which was wonderfully cooked. The dessert of salted Carmel crème brûlée finished off our perfect evening.

My daughter and her boyfriend had reservations for her boyfriend's bday. I called up with a special request in a pinch and Art found a way to make it work. He was so helpful in trying to make this birthday great! Great place and excellent staff who will go out of their way to make things perfect. Thanks, Art!
Be the first to ReplyGREAT GONE BAD
I have been going to Key West now for over 20 years, and I am fortunate to have 6weeks of Hyatt Beach House and Sunset Harbor condo time shares in Key West. As February is my birth month and I live in the north I endeavor to spent the month there. Ever since the fine dining restaurant Latitudes, on Sunset Key off of the shore of Key West, has been open I have always made advanced reservations for the countless exquisite dinners there. This year was no exception, and I had reservations for four at 5:30 on February 21st. We told our server Aaron that we were not in a big hurry and we ordered drinks an Artisan Cheese Platter at $28. and a Chilled Pouched Shrimp at $18. The cheese platter was just okay, the shrimp were rather shrimpy and did not seem to be fresh rather like previously frozen. Following the appetizer I ordered a the Latitudes Caesars Salad. The salad came like it had been put together hours ago as the lettuce was soggy and drowning in pools of dressing, I ate have and made a comment to our server Aaron; he made the abbreviated apology and I asked him to mention it to the chef. Well for my entrée I ordered the Braised Short Ribs at $44., my meal came out and the 3 very small pieces of beef were cool, not tender , and very dry after tasting one bite. I called Aaron over and he picked up the plate, again a very abbreviated apology, and he stated that he would bring a filet of mignon, which was $79.00! Well as I waited a considerable time, my 3 friends finished their meals, and after a few minutes after they were finished, I got up to tell Aaron that at this point I had lost my appetite. On my way into the restaurant I came across Aaron with my new meal, and he placed it in front of me. The $79.00 steak and portion of mashed potatoes look fine but the topper was the 4 four inch long baby carrots were wrinkled and had the appearance of being dried out and over cooked hours or the day before, not like the appetizing semi al dente ones that I have had on previous visits. So I then emphatical stated that I do not want the meal, at which time I asked Aaron if I could speak to the manager, a gentleman came over and offered the most meekest apology that I ever had and offered no other consideration to me. Aaron came over said can I get you a dessert, we can’t screw that up, but he was wrong. He offered Key Lime Cheese Cake and then mentioned carrot cake, I vacillated between the 2 and he said I’ll bring you both, thinking that I was AT LEAST going to be comped the dessert-wrong. He brought out the Key Lime Cheese Cake with a small sparkler for my birthday and the carrot cake stuffed in a glass ½ cake and ½ canned whipped cream. The pie was bland and had very little taste of lime and very dry, not nice, and creamy. So when the bill came it was a sticker shock, my girlfriend is a vegan and she had a meatless linguini at $35.00, 2 Johnny Walker Blacks was $30.00, and the 3rd Johnny Walker was $19.00??; the afore mentioned cheese platter was $29.00; the 4 shrimpy shrimps were $24.00; and a Sorbet was $9.00 FOR A GRAND TOTAL WITH NO ENTRÉE for me at $156.96 You do the math and see if you want to pay that for one meatless entrée!
