Expensive but sub par dim sum
Quality of the dim sum is not worth the price they charge. There are better dim sum nearby like Canton Paradise, Peach Garden. I will prefer going to their branch in Jurong point as the food is better and less pricey there. One or two items that were good - pork chop set lunch & Ha Gao but others were disappointing, not worth coming back !
Be the first to ReplyA Slice of Hong Kong in a Residential Estate Mall
A slice of Hong Kong in the middle of a Singaporean mall, located at the heart of Singaporean public housing. Fast service and authentic ambience, with good quality food too. (I had the Tossed Noodles with Spicy Pork Sauce and it was yummy. Not too spicy too) Prices are reasonable too by today’s standard.

Terrifying! Everything cannot. 2 people must be squashed into a tiny table even you ordered 4 dishes. The whole L2 is empty still cannot change to a bigger table. Tried explain it would be very squash with so many dishes still cannot change to a bigger table. At most they can swap with TINY table. Remember the house rules: 2 people must only take the small table even you order 6 dishes! Seriously management look into your staff - they are definitely pushing customers away. Milk tea split everywhere on the wall nobody clean (yet it's during the time only 2 tables were occupied on L2
Be the first to ReplyNot Legendary, not Hong Kong
Pretty bad interpretation of HK cart noodles. Very bland. Please don’t think HK cart noodles are like this. Even the decor is condescending. Don’t bother speaking Cantonese, nobody will understand you.
Be the first to ReplyOverall good food and ambience
Good food with nice ambience. However Aircon can be a bit cold. Especially like their salt and pepper cod fish cubes. Super addictive.
Be the first to ReplyAbove average Hong Kong dim sum Cha Chan Teng in Singapore
One of the more authentic Hong Kong Cha Chan Teng (Dim sum, noodles & porridge restaurants). There is always a queue here during meal times on weekends. The restaurant setting gives nostalgic feeling of the restaurants in HK. If you are looking for dim sum at a reasonable price without going to fancy 5 star restaurants in Singapore, this is not a bad choice, as long as you don’t expect this to be exactly HK standard.

You can get some deja vu when you come to this place that resembles bits of Hong Kong. Food is okay and service is about average.
Be the first to ReplyNIce ambience!
Had an early lunch at Legendary one Sat – there was already a queue forming when we got there before 12 but it wasn’t a long wait to get a seat. The décor of the place is really cool, as it feels like what a diner would be in Hong Kong. Ordered a variety of dim sum and really liked the chicken feet and the turnip cake with crispy bits around it. The spring rolls were very crisp but a bit airy – i.e. not a lot of filling - and the panfried chee cheong fun was too soft and mushy (perhaps as it was freshly made) so you couldn’t really see the rolls in the cheong fun. Egg tart was very average. Overall, the dishes ordered were mostly cooked to a high standard, and I would be interested to return to try other dishes.

Went there for lunch. There is queue but they clear the queue quite fast. When they heard we had more than 5 pax , got scolded for being troublesome in canto. When they give us 1 table only, we ask how abt the table for the other family members. Got scolded again for impatient. We din know what they plan to do as they only ask my sister in law to go in. So is it our fault to ask to clarify? Then my niece who is only 3 did not tell us in time that she needs the toilet , urine on the floor and was scolded again by the server and further humilated by them. Why do you have to be so harsh on a child. If you ask me whether I am going for a 2nd time. It depends on how desperate i want HK food on that day.
Be the first to ReplyMost authentic Hong Kong restaurant in Singapore
Lengendary Hong Kong is the most authentic HK restaurant in Singapore. From the indoor decor to the menu. They have the old traditional hand written menu on the wall, traditional paper wrapping for chopsticks, the menu has almost every items you can found from a traditional HK ‘Cha Chaan Teng’. They have bread with butter, fry instant noodle, steam rice, baked rice etc. They even have the afternoon tea set, an uncommon thing you found in Singapore but popular in HK. The food quality is also good, especially the Chinese BBQ which is in HK style cut, not the Singapore/Malaysia one. The entrance is a bit confusing as they have a few brand for the same restaurant. But it’s actually for the same restaurant. Next time will try their new cart noodle restaurant around the corner on the same level.
Be the first to ReplyTaste and feel of HK
Aithentic feeling of eating in a cha canting, with lovely decor. Service is efficient. Prices are a little on the high side, considering the location. Ordered the BBQ twin combo of roast pork and duck, which comes without rice. The pork was delicious while the duck was nice but rather chewy. We also had the shrimp dumpling soup, and shrimp dumpling tossed. The tossed version was better but the shrimp dumplings were delicious. The egg tarts were so so, while we liked the char siu bbq crispy buns. The pineapple bun was bland though. The HK style milk tea was authentic. The meal for two came to $60.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food. Nice ambience.
Food was up to standard. Service staff observant and prompt in clearing empty plates. Observed that they helped one another to clear the tables once the customers left and therfore making turnover fast. Price... Maybe slightly expensive.. Probably due to rental from the mall.
Be the first to ReplySmooth porridge like those in HK
We came on a weekday afternoon for late lunch. Had some dim sum items and pork liver porridge. Dim sum average but the porridge is really good! So smooth you don't see the grains. Liver slices were big and tender. We also like the decor, has a good hk feel, and prices are good. They have those set menus just like the cafes in HK, and menus posters written in Chinese on the walls. Will come back again.

Generally good impression, very wide selection of meals, as usual, you fill out a menu card, and there is a separate one for dessert. We have tried a variety of foods, including honey roasted ham, which tastes very good. I really like Nissin noodles, so I ordered a plate of that as well. The service was good and fast. For dessert, I ordered Mango pancakes, which is mango slices and whipped cream wrapped in a pancake, tastes delicious. I recommend this place to visit, guaranteed satisfaction.
