I'm updating my review as L'esprit finally made things right. However, it was done by the owner of the salon by happenstance. She was very kind and holds integrity as a business value, so we're sure she will investigate the incident but the way this scenario was initially handled was unfortunate. While I've been going to L'esprit for sometime, I will never be back here after they demeaned my 85 year old grandma. I dropped my grandma off to get her very short hair washed and blow dried. She's had this same appointment done many, many times before and has always gotten it washed, dried, and a few curls from an iron put in in 45 minutes. It's always come to $15. Simple, easy, quick. Well, this time they charged her $40 and gave her horns. They curled her hair with a giant horn on the side. It looked awful and she was dumbstruck with the price, but paid it and didn't complain thinking she misunderstood something. She was in and out in 20 minutes for over double the price. I picked her up aghast but didn't say anything to hurt her feelings... and then she told me the price. After calling and receiving some snippy back talk and a promise the manager would return the call that day, we still have heard nothing from a manager in 4 days. Someone called again to ask for more details with another promise a manager would call that day, but that hasn't happened. I'm really disappointed and upset not that it happened, but that this wasn't handled in a professional manner and that the salon didn't own up to their mistakes initially, but instead fought with her family over the phone. Instead or turning this into the opportunity to increase customer satisfaction and staff training, it was used to demean an elderly woman.
