This place is so cute for a brunch with your girlfriends!
This place is so cute for a brunch with your girlfriends! Note- make reservations weeks ahead. We sat on the patio with umbrellas covering our tables. Our server was attentive. I had rose petal pancakes for brunch. They were delicious! The syrup has a good rose flavor making the pancakes yummier!

I don't like that they charge for water but I really enjoyed my meal, food was really good
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely make reservations via Resy.
We were able to nab a 12pm table for 6 for a Saturday. Free to Park at ipic movie theatre garage. There's valet to. It's catty corner to van cleef. Look for pretty purple flowers out front. Staff were very sweet and helpful. The rose pancakes and mango jalapeño drink were my favorite. Food was good. Crab cakes were good. The waitress liked to spritz rose water in and on your drinks. It doesn't do anything. Pretty place and good food and service. I just wished their menu had more stuff. The rose sangria was ok.

Enjoyed afternoon high tea here and the ambiance was perfect for a girly get together w the cascading florals and feminine decor. You get 2 hours and an assortment of teas. Service was great. The scones were my favorite part, the rest was ok/good but nothing to rave about. Would definitely return to try their regular menu.
Be the first to ReplyWent for my birthday and I had the best time.
The food, servers and ambiance were amazing. I definitely recommend going.
Be the first to ReplyMy first time to have tea at Little Hen.
We loved the tea, the food, and the ambiance. However, we would have liked our server to be a little more attentive. We had to continually flag her down for basic tea accompaniments (i.e., milk for tea, Devonshire cream and curd for the scones). She said that the Internet went down and our cocktails were missed. All in all - it was a good experience and I'll be back!

Good food and good ambiance. I love all the esthetics of the place. Service is excellent.
Be the first to ReplyTLDR: Make a reservation weeks ahead.
$30 per guest cancellation fee. Patio dining is dependent on weather. Cute floral aesthetics. "Smart chic dress code." Cocktail was great. Scones were delicious. Pass on the crab Benedict. Service was pleasant. Parking at the deck was free on Saturday. If you're looking to dine here for brunch on a weekend at a specific time, you better make your reservation on Resy at least 3 weeks ahead of time. One day I'm looking at all the available times and a few days later, the options have dwindled. Fortunately, I snagged a 12pm reservation on a Saturday for the patio. If the weather is bad, the reservation would be cancelled. (The weather was great when I went with some friends.) Just an FYI, they charge $30 per guest if you cancel the reservation outside the free cancellation time. I was a little skeptical on the food and drinks based on the reviews I read. Decided on the crab Benedict and it was not seasoned enough in my opinion.. had to request for salt and pepper to make it somewhat better. The eggs were poached just right. Wouldn't order this again. Friends and I split the scone basket, which comes with three scones that they baked for the day. We received two blueberry and one cranberry. They come with a side of strawberry compote and cream. They came out warm and tasted delicious. Not too sweet or dry. For my cocktail, ordered the rosé sangria, which came with rose reminiscence. The smell of roses elevated the drink. Not too sweet either. I saw a table nearby order one of their mocktails and it looked good too. Wish I had the chance to try it. Aesthetics were great for pictures. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to walk inside. The service was pleasant. No complaints there. They gladly took photos of my group. They must take a lot of photos for guests. Parking at the deck nearby was free on Saturday. That was a pleasant surprise. Truly would rate this place a 3.5/5 but rounded up. I'd probably return for the cocktails/mocktails and would have to try some other food on their menu or just come for tea time.

Honestly I can't figure out why the reviews aren't better for this place. Everything about it is absolutely STUNNING. The decor? Impeccable. The vibes? Immaculate. The food and drinks? 10/10. This place was ideal for a girls brunch. Our server Bryan was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations without being pushy. He was helpful and friendly, while still maintaining a level of professionalism. We enjoyed our time with him. My girlfriends and I decided on a rose petal dream cocktail to start, complete with (non-toxic) perfume spritzed on the base of the coupe glass to enhance the notes of the rose. What a nice touch that we were not expecting! The food was solid. I had the carbonara omelette & it had good flavor. Some others at the table got eggs Benedict and they cleaned their plates! The fresh fruit I subbed for potatoes was perfectly sweet & ripe. We finished off our girls day with the carajillo martini. This drink is an absolute MUST ORDER. It was phenomenal. I will definitely be coming back here & would recommend this spot to anyone that wants to spend their day at a beautiful brunch spot!
Be the first to ReplyMy partner and I were looking for a new place to try brunch.
Little Hen was around the corner, and we were intrigued by the elaborate decorations - it always had an air of elevation; maybe it was the perfect place to celebrate an anniversary. We reserved our place about a month in advance; I am not against advance planning for special events, and this wait time added to the mystique of this gorgeous venue. The ambiance of the restaurant did not disappoint. Flowers bloomed around the whole restaurant, with beautifully set up tables, and a sense of immense formality. Unfortunately, this formality immediately extended to receiving water. The restaurant was charging us for tap water We pushed past this oddity, and embraced our anniversary celebration. There is no doubt, Little Hen is not an inexpensive place to eat, but we were excited to indulge. We ordered the rose petal pancakes, and the hashbrown. Both were quite tasty, but we noticed a mismatch between the price point and the foods themselves. The service was incredible, and yet something about the place did not quite work. What I had difficulty naming before, came after we left. The restaurant, despite its gorgeous decor, and wonderful ambiance, exuded exclusivity. This is not inherently a negative trait, yet when a restaurant charges for water, escalates an air of intrigue, and then is unable to deliver in the quality of its items, it does leave some degree of disappointment. This is unlikely to be a place we visit again, but for those who are interested, and can afford the price point, it may be worth trying.

I was a little hesitant to try this place after seeing the reviews but I figured I'd give it a shot since reservations are so hard to come by. My husband and I made reservations for 11am, arrived at 10:55 and weren't seated until 11: 25. When I asked the first hostess about the wait she said they were cleaning our table and we would be seated in 5 mins. As we were waiting to be seated we saw several parties of 2 who checked in after us get seated. I approached the hostess again and asked what was going on. She gave some lame excuse and said that our table was still occupied and we would be seated once the party leaves. I don't understand why we are the only ones waiting and everyone else was been seated. What's the point of making reservations? I already had a bad taste in mouth and I didn't even try the food. Finally, we were seated and obviously annoyed. Surprisingly enough our entire experience changed when our waitress, Peyton, stopped by. She was apologetic for the wait, extremely friendly and personable and had great recommendations. As we were browsing the menu she stopped by to give us complimentary blueberry mimosas for the wait. We weren't planning on drinking but after trying the mimosas we were blown away. We ended up trying more cocktails. Our two favorites were the carajillo and rose sangria. I highly recommend the sangria if you're looking for something refreshing that isn't super sweet! For food we tried two different croissants, almond and Nutella, steak chilaquiles and Belgium chocolate chip pancakes. My favorite out of all the stuff we ordered was the almond croissant. It was warm, flakey and well balanced. Tasted amazing with the carajillo. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised how I was able to change my almost 1 star rating to 4 stars. I will definitely be back again with my girls!

Many of us visited Little Hen for the Instagram pics - it was fun. That fad seems to be over. I've been twice with friends and we see little reason to return - we got our pics. During our last visit the food was just ok. Staff seemed unhappy. The mood is definitely a downer.

The ambiance is dreamy! Had a nice brunch with my mom the staff is great and the food is delicious! Unfortunately I had to dock a star off because the portions for their price wasn't really justifiable. I know it's an upscale place but, this is Houston! You gotta serve up our foodie hearts and stomachs full!
Be the first to ReplyStarting with the positive, the food and surrounding
Starting with the positive, the food and surrounding florals (real or otherwise) are delightful. We had the carbonara omelet and eggs Benedict. Both were delicious. The hostess was lovely. That's where the great service ended. Our waitress, who described herself as "extra" was very condescending and rude. When she wasn't being abrasive or walking away mid sentence, her entire body was hovering over our small table and food to photograph other patrons. I'd like to return, but hopefully with another more friendly server.
Be the first to ReplyThe absolute cutest place for brunch.
Little hen gives you a high class tea party feel. The hundreds of fresh roses throughout the venue is astonishing and beautiful. The menu also features many rose cocktails and dishes to match the theme. On certain events, I was also greeted with a rose! The service here is always pleasant. 10/10 for aesthetics and pictures. Overall, a beautiful brunch and experience.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is fine, but service is terrible.
Had to repeatedly ask for water before I got any and could not get my check when I was ready to leave. There are much better options available.
Be the first to ReplyI absolutely adored every aspect of this place.
From the elegant French China to the delicious food and charming decor, everything was perfect. We chose to celebrate my daughter's birthday here, and despite the majority of patrons being women, my partner thoroughly enjoyed the experience as well. Even though it was bustling with activity, our server still provided attentive and prompt service. It felt like stepping into a scene from Alice in Wonderland or dining with the Queen of England herself. I can't wait to bring my best friend here when she visits next. This place is simply enchanting!

I went here for my birthday last month with my sister and I can say I absolutely loved it! I got the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict and my sister got the Carbonara Omelette. We both enjoyed our meals and I would for sure get that again. The service was great and our waiter brought me a rose for my birthday brunch. On top of that we got Chamomile and Earl Grey teas. They brought out a cute pot of tea for both of us and I can say that they were both absolutely delicious. The ambiance was also perfect for picture which included a flower arch. I would definitely come here again for another girls special day!
