Great food combined with high quality service
Taylor was a great server and the staff worked well as a team Food was outstanding and a varied menu. I sampled all four entrees and each stood out, particularly the sand dabs.
Be the first to ReplyGreat restaurant with wonderful ambiance.
We had the trout almondine which was fantastic. It came with pineapple slaw which was delicious as was the brown rice. Georgia was a wonderful server as well. Lastly, Lure had a great ambiance and vibe! Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyNice seafood restaurant in Scottsdale with a lot of options including choices from new england as well as west coast
Went with friends to this restaurant . We had a party of 9 and they put us in a private room which was nice since the restaurant was busy and noisy . I was surprised that they had both New England clam chowder as well as a lobster roll. I am from New England so am a tough critic but the clam chowder was great . I would rank the lobster roll A- it had nice large chunks of lobster meat likely claws and tail . By only reason for the slightly lower grad is as a New Englander traditional lobster rolls only have lobster with a little mayo while this had celery and something else but again is you aren’t going to Maine soon this will warm your heart

This is our “go to” when celebrating a special event or just need a night out of the kitchen! Food is consistently fresh, well prepared, portions are plentiful and the restaurant pricing is fair. The restaurant is casual to upscale, has a very descent wine list and the menu is updated frequently with the “daily catch.” We appreciate good service and that’s exactly what you’ll get! Wait staff is friendly, professional and knows the menu, so can offer suggestions or provide a good description of how each item is prepared. We want to give a special shout out to Ryan who served us last evening. He was great…. Attentive without hovering!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent! We loved Lure Fish House!
We absolutely loved Lure Fish House. Cocktails were fantastic and the food was outstanding. The service by Shereese was out of this world. When we go back, we'll sit outside on the patio and request Shereese to be our server! If you love seafood, you MUST try Lure Fish House!

Lure Fish House was recommended by a friend to my brother in Palm Springs. On their visit, we had our first meal at Lure. We were surprised at the size of the restaurant and the patient service. Our entrees included Sea Bass, Cioppino (mine), seafood chowder and caesar salad with chicken. As we were being treated, I didn't know the total cost. We were very pleased with our visit and dinner.

The value for dollar is absolutely fantastic here. The dishes were delicious but the price was even better. Big portions not at the expense of quality. Great ambience, helpful and friendly staff and fresh fish. We tried the sea bass, mussels, grilled oysters, trout and fish stew and they were all good ! I would go back for sure.

We were greeted and seated with a smile. Food was tasty and fresh. We had the branzino, trout, and steak with various sides, as well as the key lime pie and burnt pumpkin cheesecake. Would definitely recommend this place!
Be the first to ReplyHo-Hum Restaurant
Average food at above average prices. The calamari tasted like old grease, and slightly over fried. The ceviche was OK, nothing positive, nothing negative. The crab cakes were mushy and mayonnaisey. The Rock Fish was very good. Their beer selection is weak. The cocktails were very good. For the people who think this place is excellent , they must not ever eat seafood. Sorry, it was a ho-hum meal.

Late arrival looking for light options. First time. Warm greeting and warm ambience. Fantastic service. Broad menu but we were looking at starters. Good choices.
Be the first to ReplyDecent Seafood Restaurant with Reasonable Prices
My husband and I had dinner here on our first night on vacation. Our waiter, while friendly, seemed a bit distracted. Said he would bring us bread, then took bread to the table behind us who were seated after us. When we did get bread, it was piping-hot out of the oven and delicious. We both had the halibut and I thought it was good, while my husband felt his was a bit dry. We had indicated in our Open Table reservation that we were celebrating my birthday but they did not do anything to acknowledge it. The wine list has some good choices and we did enjoy a bottle with our dinner.

We came across Lure by chance staying at Hyatt Regency (walking distance) . Both my wife and I enjoyed our food and service so returned for a second visit . Lure is a fine entrant to an area with excellent selections . I went with the servers recommendation and wasn’t disappointed. Oysters were on the meaty and sweet side but small
Be the first to ReplyVery good seafood dinner
First time at Lure Fish House. We arrived at 6 PM on a Friday night without reservations (they don't take them) and waited for only 10 mins.
We were greeted quickly by Branden and were offered drinks: wine for the Mrs. and iced tea for me. We split a crab cocktail and then she got the Lure Cioppino and I got the Fish and Chips, all for $94 plus tip.
Branden brought out a basket of sourdough rolls that were Devine. They were hot, with a chewy crust and pillowy center; perfect with the soft butter. Our entrees arrived shortly thereafter.
The Cioppino was bountiful with seafood: clams, mussels, fish, scallops and shrimp. It had a rich tomato broth with delicate seasoning. A slice of toasted bread accompanied the bowl.
My Fish and Chips arrived with a ramekin of pineapple slaw and a tin-cone of fries. I opted for the sweet potato fries, since ‘chips’ (plank fries) weren’t offered. There was also dill tarter sauce and thousand island dressing. The fish filets were battered and fried to a golden crust. I thought they were going to be heavy but they were so light and flaky, exactly as I hoped they would be.
The ambiance was a little weird: the decor was good, with nautical themes throughout but the disco music was odd. I wasn’t expecting The Bee Gees nor Kool and The Gang during dinner.
Overall, I would recommend Lure for a romantic dinner or even a group of couples for a pod seafood dinner.
Lots of Seafood Options
Finally stopped in for dinner. Large and expansive. Oysters cooked/raw, fish, shrimp, combos with pasta. Clam chowder is excellent. Salads very good. I had the spicy seasonal rigatoni with shrimp and scallops. Good size serving, and very good.
Be the first to ReplyFish night out.
Our first course was the grilled oysters with garlic, butter and parsley. They were okay but not as good as a Rockefeller version. The other appetizer was the grilled artichoke which was a bit messy but not much you can do. The heart was the prize once you nibbled away at the leaves. If you are hungry then avoid the artichoke. The shrimp dish was not bad and had good flavour. The Branzio fish was grilled perfectly and butterflied. The disappointment was the balsamic carrots and the mushrooms with snap peas. Really need to freshen up the vegetables. Keep in simple and crips. Simple steam and a light butter.
Be the first to ReplyNice Venue, Ambiance with Very Fresh Seafood
Recently had lunch here and we were favorably impressed. Outdoor seating area or indoors with plenty of natural light. Beautiful Spring Day, we sat on the patio.
We shared an order of Rockfish Ceviche. Very good, plenty of fish and avocado. Two of us had Kale Salad with Salmon the other Fish Tacos. All dishes were gobbled up, great sign. Pleasant and attentive service. Will return.
Ceviche!
Excellent seafood - spicy ceviche was amazing - great staff - helpful & happy to see you! I love the understated seaside décor! Good experience all around!
Be the first to ReplyA Very Sad Happy Hour
Happy Hour. The waiter came to our table chomping on gum. Gross The crab cakes on the menu were not available because”crab costs too much now”. The calamari was freezer burned and dried out. He did remove it from the bill. The ceviche had red peeper and was quite spicy, this after a lengthy discussion with him about spice levels. I don’t tolerate spicy dishes well and I have a shrimp allergy which was in the spicy one. I mentioned this too him and he said” oh this one has a red color to it, they must have given you the wrong one”Eh I love ceviche and could not eat it, even though without the red pepper I think I would have enjoyed it. My husband ate some, he did not take it off the bill. The six oysters on the shell were clean and tasty, but again our waiter quoted us the wrong price🤷♀️Lastly, we sat on the patio, the nautical chairs had blue cushions that were horribly stained. This restaurant is in severe need of a good manager to run it adequately!! Potential is there, but people won’t be if it continues in this state. There is far too much competition to support mediocrity in Scottsdale.

We’ll be back!
Our Absolute Favorite Restaurant in Phoenix Area’s
My wife and I love this place. The prices are reasonable, the fish is fresh, and the service is great. The calamari serving is large and not frozen rings. The clam chowder is fantastic, as is the fish soup, which is red sauced based. Oysters, fish tacos, ahi, sand dabs, everything on the munu is great.
Be the first to ReplyOf Sirens and Lure
In Greek mythology, sirens lure Sailors to their death. The Lure Fish House does not go that far, but it’s still quite lousy, actually. I’ll try to synthesize this story:
PROs:
- Nice digs
- Nice digs
- Fresh air on the patio
CONs:
- Poor service, and I’ll elaborate: It takes forever to get a server, this is happening in an almost “dead” hour of the afternoon, when only a few tables are occupied. Once you get that server, he is moody and never around when needed. You have to ask for the table to be cleaned and even then it is not. Loud “boom boom” type music at all times, overwhelming conversations and ambiance.
- Mediocre food at best, and I’ll elaborate: They feature an Oyster Bar. As we all know, when you order oysters in an Oyster Bar, you will usually be offered a selection of all available on that day. Not here, you get half or one dozen of the same, accompanied by some ketchup and raw horseradish. The “grilled vegetables” are actually steamed to a complete mush and thus, inedible. The Bass is bland and tasteless, a complete waste. The “whole roasted branzino” is actually only half. Bread is never offered, until you ask for it by name; The wine list and bar spirits are quite limited.
Lunch for two under the above circumstances with no appetizers, just main course and a bottle of Rose, comes to $132.36 with tax, but before tip. As you can imagine, I did not leave much of a tip. And I’m not going back.

Good fish place in the desert
Disappointed at a few poor reviews after we loved this place last year! Went anyway. Very good meal and service. Yes, oysters small, but some are supposed to be -- large are meatier, but small more delicate with wonderful flavor. My fish with the tail and skin on great, and my husband's fish stew very good.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely disappointing
My partner and I have been frequent diners (about 2 to 3 times a week) at Lure for lunch and dinner. We live within 5 minutes of the restaurant. Here was our experience. We came in and sat in the bar area, open seating. It took awhile for anyone to get to us, and that wasn't too important to us. We always order the sea bass skewers as they are excellent! The server told us that sea bass was now out of season and that they now had cod instead. We said we'd take the cod skewers instead. We thought we'd try it. We ordered 2 servings each, and they were $17 each. After some time, they arrived, and it was the smallest pieces of fish I've ever seen. They said it was 4 ounces of fish, but it wasn't anything like the sea bass skewers. There were no skewers. To top it off, 2 of the very small pieces came out raw. I asked for a manager, and the young man came over, listened to me, and told me that the fish was the same amount of ounces as the sea bass skewers. Since we've eaten them many times, we knew otherwise. And for $17 for a very small piece of cod, was ridiculous. The manager told us that they were trying a new way of preparing and presenting the meal. We told them it was very misleading and not good. I just asked that my 2 pieces of cod be cooked so I could finish them. 15 minutes later, after my partner had finished eating and was just staring at me, they brought mine out. The manager told me that they were marinating them longer and that's why it appeared undercooked. The server told us that there was a new cook in the back and that they had several meals that had to be redone that night.
We never ask for any concessions and and server was extremely helpful. We at least expected some sort of discount or concession, etc. They seemed to not care. So, now we don't care. We won't be back. There are many different restaurants in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area to choose from, and we'll be choosing some place else. Very disappointing.
Wow, has this gone downhill fast!
When this place opened up in 2020, I absolutely loved it. Not anymore. The portions are miserably small and I had one of the worst martinis I have ever had in my life there recently. the crab cakes barely have any crab in them. They totally forgot my husband’s order and when it came, it was lousy. And the oysters on the half shell? How did they find oysters this tiny? The ones we got were dime sized. Service was forgetful and the overall experience just stunk. I won’t be back.
