Very nice customer service, plenty of options, clean, prompt service. Ridiculously enormous portions. Here's the catch (or lure) though: Quite expensive for mediocre seafood that contains highly processed, preservative-laden ingredients. A giant salad I ordered was not fresh, hard to chew, and the dressing was gooey and very bland. The fish was smelly, old, oily, lifeless, mushy and tasted like it came out of a microwave. The brussels sprouts were sadly dead, and also appeared to be microwaved, then dowsed in an overly-sweet, oily vinegar sauce. Instead of enormous portions of mass-produced, poor quality ingredients, I would've much preferred a smaller meal that was fresh and lovingly prepared. This is simply conveyor belt food. I came here for a family event, and left with a stomachache.

Be the first to ReplyHonestly I am at a battle with this place.
The ambiance can atmosphere is great. It is pretty decent for groups or couples with a huge dining area. They also have an open kitchen and the bar looks awesome. The pricing isn't exorbitant either which always helps. The taste of everything just seems mediocre. The cheesy polenta needed salt. The ahi tuna was cut so thick and the sauce was I think just some ponzu and a mayo base sriracha. I feel like I could make that dish at home which I have before. The best thing of the night were the charbroiled oysters from the Santa Cruz tower. The weird thing was that they had huge leafs of lettuce at the bottom and took up a third of the bottom tray. It just seems like a lot but really wasn't. Some of the other people in my party said the same thing. I'm sure of the hype of this place. It's always busy and decent reviews it wouldn't be my first choice for seafood in Arizona and maybe that's the real problem we live in the desert. Our server was nice. He spilled a bunch of stuff thankfully didn't go on us. But very nice and gave a few recommendations. Everything came out fairly quick. They even moved our time to sit inside which was nice. My reason for the 3 is that it's really a 3.5 but I can't round up here. The food just lacked here and I wasn't a huge fan. This is my second time coming and thought the same thing.

We've tried this restaurant, several times, and for the most part, the food and service is very good. Sometimes the service is a little slow and sometimes the food is not as good, but overall, it's a good place to have a lunch meeting because it's not too loud.
Be the first to ReplyReliably great food.
....the clam chowder ( New England) is delicious. My favorite dish is Lobster Roll....make sure you request it warm.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible menu, food, service, and vibe.
I can't wait to go back. Everything is super fresh and amazing!

I just love this place! If you are looking for great seafood at a reasonable price, this is it. We ordered the sea bass and black cod, and both are amazing. I still prefer sea bass, but the black cod does have more flavor.

Place was full and lively , they have glass partitions that reduce noise and it worked well . There is an area I will call the bull pen , very large in area and mostly high top tables then on the perimeter there are tables . Service from Kirby was great , we had the tower which was a lot of food for two , broiled lobster was good not great , broiled oysters were very good . There were three other types oysters all excellent . There were about six jumbo shrimp, very fresh firm and served cold they were very good. We had the calamari which was very good as well . Looking at the rest of the menu it looked great and the prices were in the 25 to 30 dollar range and seemed reasonable. We did the tower to try to sample everything, not a mistake . Overall I highly recommend and will be back
Be the first to ReplyLove the food! Super appetizers and dinners.
Only problem is my stomach is not big enough to have both at the same meal!! Service is always prompt. The noise level is a bit high and once caused an order to be misheard by the server. Who promptly replaced the error with the desired dish.
Be the first to ReplyGiving them 4 stars because my first visit was spectacular.
Hubs and I went for happy hour and sat at the bar our bartender was attentive and made great drinks. I had fish tacos and fries, can't remember what Hubs had but he enjoyed it. Onions were put on my tacos despite the bartender advising of my allergy. They remade them right away, no issues. Perfect visit! We went again for dinner last week with his mom and this visit was different. Our server was great! We went late so most of the fish options I wanted were sold out and the ravioli had onion so I got fish tacos. I advised that I had an onion allergy and they did their best to keep the onions out but I still ended up with at least two. I advised my server, he took my plate back and immediately brought it back stating there were no onions. I take a bite of my other taco and guess what I tasted (if you said an onion, you're correct). At that point I didn't want anything else. The manager came over and talked to me and offered to replace the meal but I was over it at that point. I had some of my Hubs sea bass and my fries so I'd gotten full. They took it off our bill but I didn't like how they downplayed my initial concerns. If a customer tells you they have an allergy and even if accidentally, an onion ends up in their food, take it seriously the first time. I could have been hospitalized.
Be the first to ReplyWe had dinner at Lure tonight.
It was delicious. I had the sea bass and our waitress suggested it with lemon butter and capers. Shelby was very attentive and gave us great recommendations. We will make this a regular place for date night!

Great service and food! Seafood in Arizona sounds crazy, but everything tasted fresh and wonderful. Below are things that could have been better, but I don't think that should deduct from the 5 starts. The meal was wonderful and our server Alex was the best. We had the cioppino, oysters of course, shrimp cocktail, crab cocktail, sand dabs, popcorn shrimp, and rockfish. Everything was amazing and well cooked. The cocktails are also super good! What could have been better:- Oyster shucking, a lot of shell shards within the meat- Faster drink service (waited about 20 minutes for a beer)

Recently held a medical device lecture in the back room and couldn't have been happier. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. Our host Kevin Rehak, went the extra mile to make sure our evening went off without a hitch. Due to some scheduling issues with FedEx, Kevin helped us after the event and made sure my packages were safely shipped out the next day. If you have a private event, I'd highly recommend you check this place out. If you are rolling solo and want to enjoy a nice meal and watch the games - their bar was incredible. If you have date you are trying to impress, the main dining room will exceed those expectations. You can't go wrong here!

Ordered the fish of the day - swordfish, and the lobster ravioli dish for dinner. The swordfish was fresh but lacked salt and seasoning, which made the meat tasteless IMO. The lobster ravioli is my boyfriend favorite dish; good amount of meat in the dish, the pasta sauce was flavorful and was a great pairing with bread.
Be the first to ReplyThird time here, came for Valentine's Day.
The service and food was as good as all previous times. We came for a late lunch at 3:00, sat at the bar (no Happy Hour on Valentines Day which I had already read on the website). We ordered cocktails, a dozen Oysters, Tiger Shrimp Cocktail, Crispy Calamari, Spicy Seafood Cerviche and a New England Clam Chowder. Good time relaxing and enjoying the food and service. All the food tasted delicious, though the Calamari was a tad overdone as compared to the previous time.Love this place!

Wow...Luv this place and wish they had one in Denver...great happy hour and if you like oysters...must try the broiled oysters here...so good!
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for seafood.
They also have extensive happy hour menu that starts at 3pm. The area by the bar is open seating so they have quite a bit of seats for HH. Happy Hour or not, food and service is great!Must have - their charbroiled oysters. They were filled with garlic and Parmesan cheese...yummy goodness! The crab cakes were ok, too fine of crab meat for me but they tasted good. The fish sandwich came in very generous serving (6-8oz) of deep fried white fish and served with French fries.

Just arrived in town and found this place, it was getting kind of late and we didn't have a reservation. Hostess said that a couple seats were available at the bar and so we took them. I have to say this was one of the best experiences we have had out at a new place! Fridays are usually fishy Friday and that was a reason for coming here. We are from California and I have to say, we did think...fresh fish in Arizona?? Our server was Nick and he was absolutely the best. He was personable, knowledgeable and just really came off as a good guy! It was also entertaining to watch him shuck oysters! And then BBQ them! He took time to answer questions and gave some really good recommendations. We started with drinks, I had the roasted blueberry margarita. Delish!! Then had calamari. It had jalapeños in it! Wonderful! So tasty!! Oh and the sour dough rolls were very hot and perfect! My boyfriend had a cup of clam chowder. The flavors were wonderful, not as creamy as what we have had before but I liked that it was a little thinner and really brought out the flavors. I could easily do a bowl of that and the rolls and be happy!! My entree was blackened halibut. Cooked perfectly! Sides were maple Brussels sprouts and Parmesan potato cake (mashed potatoes with Parmesan, bell peppers and onion), so tasty! My boyfriend had trout almandine, that was cooked perfectly with a nice little crust on them. We also had a sample of BBQ oysters! Delish!! We ended the meal with blueberry cobbler, which put us into a food coma! Oh was it good!! We had a very relaxing and enjoyable dinner. Will definitely make this a regular place to attend when in town! Would highly recommend this Place for good food, nice atmosphere and super service!

Sitting at the bar is great! If Fresh seafood is your thing...definitely check out Lure!
Be the first to ReplyFirstly, the service has always been outstanding.
The menu is inviting and interesting. We have dined inside, outside and at the bar. The food is delicious and, the hot rolls with butter, ooh la-la. The crab Louie salad and Veracruz chowder are two faves. Fresh oysters, yum! Fish and chips, outstanding. Seriously, we are still working our way through the menu. Our last visit included trying the newly formulated espresso martinis. Oh, my! Lastly, Lure is a fish house that is a wonderful addition to the Scottsdale offerings and it is on our regular rotation.

My wife and I have been coming to this venue since we moved to The Valley last year. We have consistently been pleased with their quality of service, knowledgeable staff, fantastic seafood selection, drinks and ambiance. On this specific occasion we had a half dozen Kumamoto oysters and Bruce's beach house oysters. The Kumamoto oysters, while a bit smaller, have a briny flavor with subtle hints of sweet. The Bruce's beach house had almost a milky quality about it, with all the expected flavors of the sea. We also had the char broiled oysters which were so well seasoned(garlic, olive oil, parsley, and what tasted like romano cheese). These were so tasty that I couldn't be bothered to pause and take a photo. Overall, great time!! I expect we'll be back very very soon!
Be the first to ReplyIts was my first time there .

Be the first to ReplyCame into Lure for the first time today.
Chose to sit in the happy hour section which was full. Glad to see that in the middle of summer must be doing something right! All tables were taken except for one dirty one, Alec noticed and promptly cleaned it for me and my wife. He also brought us menus and water and sourdough bread while we looked through the menu. We ordered the oysters Rockefeller,(cooked perfectly and delicious) we then ordered a bunch of happy hour items and drinks. Our favorite was the pop rock shrimp which Alec recommended! Overall service couldn't have been better, food was cooked perfectly and overall just a great experience!

Our First time coming here and the Food & Service was AMAZING! very DELICIOUS. I highly recommend the Oysters & the Tequila-Lime Shrimp Pasta Will be coming here again.
Be the first to ReplyWe came in Friday night and the service was great.
The oysters were delicious, however I ordered the linguini and clams. Terrible dish, extremely watery and bland. It was discouraging, because it takes a lot to screw up a pasta dish.
