I ordered the the ribs from Uber Eats at night.
The food got to me promptly and it was hot. Unfortunately, the food tasted like it was under a heat lamp for SEVERAL hours. The bbq sauce on the ribs hardened and the meat way dry. I was very unimpressed with this restaurant.

Wanted some BBQ and saw them on Doordash, so had to support and give it a try. Their menu is limited but nothing fell short. O R D E R E D - Curry Corn Bread- RibsV E R D I C T The curry corn bread was just like at international smoke, and I've always enjoyed that everytime I ate there. The ribs could've used a bit more sauce, but texture wise was delicious! My stomach could only fill that much food that day, so I didn't try their other items yet, but next time I order, I'll be sure to try their mac and cheese as well.

4.5 stars Before the SIP, my shortlist of restaurants to try on a double date included International Smoke. Recently, I was browsing options on Grubhub more ravenously than a newly-single guy on Tinder & came across Mac 'n Cue by International Smoke. Let's go! Or rather, let's stay in & wait for delivery! But that doesn't have the same ring to it.The delivery app only offers seven items & we ordered four of them: -- two ordered of Curry Cornbread with red curry butter ($7 each) -- Brisket French Onion Mac ($19) -- Smoked St. Louis Cut Ribs ($22) -- BBQ Pulled Pork (I don't recall the price) Everything we tried was so good, I'm tempted to place an order for pick-up just so I can sample a larger portion of the menu, and this is in spite of the food being spendy for the amount you get. If Mac 'n Cue's M.O. is to leave the customer wanting more, they've succeeded.

I really admire how Michael Mina pivoted from fancy dining pre-pandemic to high end takeout/delivery that travels well. His restaurant is like a bunch of ghost kitchens, with several different "restaurants" appearing on apps offering laser focused menus yet existing at the same location. But instead of the food being microwaved by ghost kitchen workers, it's made fresh by his talented staff.BBQ Pork Mac: So I thought it was supposed to be pulled pork, but it was more like pork chunks. Either pork belly or rib tips, was hard for me to tell. Either way was nicely marinated with a good ratio of meat to fat. Played well against the super creamy cheese sauce and al dente macaroni. What was really nice was that when reheated, the cheese was still creamy and not all clumpy! Way better than the box stuff at home.Salt & Pepper Brisket Sandwich: There was a lot of meat packed in this sandwich. A few layers of smoky tender brisket in thick cuts. Not like deli brisket, more like Texas BBQ Brisket. Loved the addition of raw red onions and pickles to balance out the richness. The fries on the side were amazing too. Substantial potato blocks that were filled with umami and the scent of rosemary. I think these were the fries made with duck fat, though can't be sure, but whatever they were they were really tasty.

So disappointed by this experience, especially after hearing such good things about International Smoke. Didn't expect the best due to takeout only format, but the worst elements are not due to that. The ribs still had the tough, inedible membrane. Perhaps there is reason for this but seriously detracted from what was otherwise tender, tasty product. Crab Mac n cheese had almost no crab (minor but annoying). Was otherwise creamy, tasty, al dente pasta. Best dish of the batch. Kale was waaaaay overcooked but have come to expect this abuse of vegetables in "southern style" cooking. Another minor annoyance. Biggest atrocity was the banana pudding. Super thin banana "chips" that were tough(!) almost like they had been frozen or rehydrated. All around inedible. I grew up in the south and was super craving a nice banana pudding to remind me of home. Spent over $350 at Mina Family Kitchens with food from Mina's and Mac n Cue. Sad product in sadder times :(

Looking for some crazy good comfort food in the middle of the pandemic and in the cold of this winter? Come to Mac 'n Cue. I mean, run here! They're serving up good BBQ and to-die-for Mac n' Cheese! The Mac n' Cheese got my attention! This is one of the best versions I've had in a long time! So decadently cheesy and creamy with smaller perfectly cooked al dente elbow macaroni. Trust me, this is awesome stuff!!! #iykykSo impressed with my combo of the wood-fired smoked beef brisket and pork ribs. The brisket was substantial and moist. I'm a BBQ purist, so not normally a fan of the fall-off-the-bone style of ribs, but these were very good and finger-lickin' tasty. I liked the choice of three sauces on the side and the crispy pickles too. Everything is made-to-order to ensure freshness and it's all fresh!Like anything and everything affiliated with Mina's this is done first-class. As you can see from my photos, the presentation was nicely executed, despite being takeout. Pick up at Michael Mina Restaurant on California Street. There are still restaurants serving great takeout food during this shutdown and this spot is one of them! Support local.TIP: Don't forget to add on some cool cocktails with your takeout order too!
