Green curry was good, but spicy.
The drunken noodles were awful, they looked completely white and tasted bland as if there was no seasoning added whatsoever. The spring rolls were good and generous portion compared to other places. The mango sticky rice was ok, the mango is usually on point for most places, but it was stringy and inedible. Not sure if we would return.
Be the first to ReplyVery casual, delicious food with great service.
The staff was obviously very busy at peak on a Friday and yet we got served great honest food real fast. We could not finish the 2 entrees and 2 mains and dined for less than 50$ Recommended for reasonably priced good food with kind service.

the service was so awful that it spoiled the entire experience. the cashier did not say hi or bye or thank you. the food was also objectively mid. there are far better thai restaurants in the area

I have been to this gem a couple of times and each time was just as amazing as the last - In fact, I would place this one on my top 3 favorite Thai spots in a New York. This restaurant is family owned and you immediately get that homey, cozy vibes as soon as you walk in. The dining area is also very spacious. The servers here are very friendly and you can tell that they appreciate their customers and are proud of the food they serve. The food here taste authentic and for some dishes, I noticed that they're not as oily or salty as some of the other Thai spots that I've been to - which is amazing because I don't like my food too oily or salty. The flavors are just right and everything is fresh. Their lunch specials are awesome; I usually get the dumplings with the Beef Pad Se Ew. ($14) The beef isn't rubbery like some other places I've been to, instead it's fresh and stir fried to perfection. I will say that the sauce for the noodles is a little bit on the sweeter side from what I'm used to - but it was delicious none the less. The portion sizes are also great - for a lunch special, it looks like dinner too because the portion size will fill you up but not too much that you are too full. Trust me, there won't be leftovers because you're gonna want to finish every piece of noodle. If you want to get authentic and delicious Thai food, then this spot is the spot to check out. Enjoy!
Be the first to ReplyJust tried the lunch special with drunken noodles.
The lunch special was generously portioned, great value for money. I would rate the taste as 4/5, just the right amount of spice, though a tad on the sweeter side. The service was polite and fast. Would definitely recommend and try out other items from their menu.

Delivery times on the various services are consistently misrepresented. They are always late, the food is always mediocre, and the service when we've eaten in the restaurant itself is terrible. With so many genuinely excellent Thai restaurants to choose from in our area, we will never deal with them again.
Be the first to ReplyWe've been to some places with bad service.
Thinking... any Cantonese/Chinese spot in Chinatown. But that's kind of the expectation of terse service but at least good food. What I don't understand is average/generic Thai food with terrible, terrible attitude. Like - just pure enmity towards customers.First, a word about the food. Standard Thai lunch specials. If you're looking for something super interesting there are definitely better places both in Manhattan but especially in the outer boroughs (in full disclosure, it's a bit hard to compare as we are used to Elmhurst Thai food, aka real Thai food). It's not bad... but not particularly good either. I suppose the plethora of Thai restaurants in the area speaks to the global appeal of "standard" Thai food but it's not anything particularly exciting. What is inexcusable is the rudeness of the staff - we asked for the Thai iced tea with less cream/milk and they seemed to put more - when asked about this, we were met with extreme attitude and the person brought tea and made a show of adding a drop of cream. In a smaller cup. With a sneer.I guess it sounds kind of silly. We really are not high-maintenance customers, we've almost never sent anything back but it was just such a bizarre experience that we were just kind of flabbergasted. I'm not even mentioning the difficulty to flag down anyone for help, an extra napkin, etc. in a near-empty dining room. But this stands alone as a truly negative, maddening experience in eating out. I do hope it was a one-off and someone was having a bad day, but I have to say in a few previous visits here, the staff have never been very welcoming or particularly nice so I don't know that it's inconsistent with my expectations of the place.

Love this spot!!! Such a great byob date night with my boyfriend. Great vegetarian options for me and excellent pad Thai for him. Highly recommend! Interior is like a house which I thought was fun

Absolutely delicious! I love their noodle soup (so simple and filling) and the spring rolls and curry! Very fast takeout and dine-in service and always fresh.
Be the first to ReplyI will never order from this restaurant again.
We had been waiting for the food for over an hour. Please note that the order was placed at an hour before the requested delivery time so they had plenty of time to meet expectations. Yet, it is now two hours since the order was placed and it has not been delivered! To add insult to injury, they would not answer the phone and left me hanging with no explanation or apologizes. When they did FINALLY answer the phone, they claimed they were busy and the delivery person had a lot of deliver. Then, shouldn't they have another delivery person??? They could not justify the horrible service, the delay in delivery, the failure to update and the likely now cold food. Well, now they have five less customers to keep them too busy! I am now ordering a pizza for friends and calling my credit card.
Be the first to ReplySuch a lovely place.
Very French feel. Excellent food. Great vibes and quite cozy. Gotta love a velvet couch - I love love their weird little nook table. This place has become a part of a family tradition for me so I love it even more. Love you guys, keep it up!!

Maison Bangkok is a good casual Thai spot in the neighborhood with both outdoor and indoor seating.Favorite parts of my visit: - The service was super friendly and helpful. One friend is a super picky eater and she asked for her own simple noodle dish with veggies, chicken, and no egg and the request was happily accommodated- The menu is pretty big- there's something for everyone from vegetarian options to noodles to curry to fish - The food is definitely made fresh, everything came out super nice and hot - The entree items were tasty: ---- The Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles): Were a bit spicy but overall yummy---- The fried red snapper: Was a great portion size, super well prepared, and they gave us a nice option on how we wanted it dressed (my boyfriend chose spicy curry)Things that could have been improved: - The food came out super staggered, there was more than 10 minutes between the first entree we received and the last which is not ideal - The chicken dumplings to start were not tasty, I recommend skipping them. The dough of the dumpling and the chicken were both super dense and not very flavorful. I've had better frozen. - Several bugs got inside because the door was cracked open. We even had to get up a couple of times because two seemingly upset bees kept landing on your table - We ordered an appetizer that they forgot to bring to us. We didn't mention it and they didn't add it to the bill, but worth mentioning as it impacted the experience a bit
