Waited one hour to drown not-that-tasty maki in Soya.
Hey, all sushi is eatable if you drown it in some soya sauce.
After a quick-serving starter, which tasted delicious(!), we sat for another hour waiting. The only time we saw the waiter, it was because he asked if he could place some OTHER tables finished plates at our table, to which we of course said “no, thank you”.
Thay also call themselves “Green” which is a lie, if you regard the ingredients used in their maki. They could probably call them self “Vegan Sushi” or something. But “green”? Cmon guys.
Also doing a pretty wack Japanese theme, but I did not get the vibe.
Leaving this restaurant rather disappointed and left with another existential question in my life: “why is this restaurant so crowded?”
(Wrote this before I got my dessert: it was disgusting.)
Horrible restaurant
So we spent a day in Germany and we decided to have diner to take away at Maki maki sushi green. We arrive at 6.50 (it opens from 5.30pm till 10pm). Two couples get seated then when it is my turn, the waiter tells me that he cannot serve me, that they don't take customers anymore. The restaurant is at least half empty but okay. The minimum is to explain why cause it almost felt like he didn't like my face. Then when I go back to my car to explain this crazy story to my boyfriend, we see another couple arriving by our street and seating at the terrasse. We find another restaurant and when we drive by Maki maki again a bit later, we see this couple served and eating. This is really unbelievable. So disappointed by this service. Rudest restaurant ever.
Be the first to Replytasty, but bit slow and not soooo sustainable
The food is very, very tasty (well-made fresh sushis, not missing out the fish in it at all!) but for a "green" restaurant, one could rely a bit more on regional and seasonal vegetables (not every second sushi NEEDS to be with avocado). Also, apparently, staff is not very schooled in japanese matters. I ordered a matcha (green tea made with powder from green tea leaves) and got a quite sugary lemonade with a little bit of matcha in it... the service is a bit slow, but that may also be due to the fact that we were there at a rather unusual hour (4 pm) and they were maybe a bit understaffed for that time of the day.
