We came here on a Saturday night and it was extremely busy but we still got a table quickly. The server was nice and gave us her recommendations on dishes. Honestly everything we had was extremely tasty the only downside is the pricing is a bit much. Given the location its expected but you can definitely get just as good food for less elsewhere. The best dish we got was the lobster rice. It was such a warm comfort dish! I would go back for that dish alone and it comes with a whole lobster!

We really enjoyed little spain from our previous nyc trip so we came back. This area has a bunch if restaurants like eataly. The menu items overlap a lot, kind of like on a cruise ship. This time the food we ordered was on the oilier and the anchovies were too salty. But we made it work by eating smaller pieces and distributing the flavors. I would come back maybe during next next trip.
Our first trip back to Mar in Mercado Little Spain since
Our first trip back to Mar in Mercado Little Spain since pandemic shutdown. Had started coming regularly in 2019-2020. It took a while for them to reopen. We happened to visit Little Spain and were pleasantly surprised, happy to have them back! Location is still fresh, lively, and beautiful with a casual elegance. The fish is still impeccably fresh and the dishes are all good. We picked up on a change in overall approach and menu offerings, so we asked our server. We were told they lost their top-tier chef during Covid. To adapt, they adopted a tapas-based format and reopened with a fast turnaround, pared-back menu. The prices overall are slightly higher, in addition to things like bread by request only for a small charge. However, our lunch was a great experience; delicious, fresh, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Mar was always on the pricey side, so possibly more of an indulgence than a regular stop for lunch or dinner. For the quality of the food, environment, service and experience, it's worth it. Definitely recommend Mar and any trip to Mercado Little Spain

Service was a 5/5! Our waitress was so friendly and provided great service, always getting us more water, pouring wine and bringing bread. She also gave us desserts for our wedding day :) The food itself was fresh. We got: - two different kinds of croquettes (salt fish and oxtail) which were both crispy and well fried without being two greasy - pulpo which was tender and the mashed potatoes were fluffy and buttery, - oxtail stew which was fall off the bone tender with fried potatoes sprinkled into the sauce - mussels - we wanted the tinned mussels but they gave us the wrong one, still tasty just not what we wanted - oysters were fresh, sweet and had a nice sauce on top - fresh spot prawns - only four per order but they were fresh and plump - wish they added an extra one for us as a table of 5 The prices were typical for New York seafood, the bill for 5 people with tip ended up about $60pp

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
