Classy elegant high end Chinese restaurant in London.
Went to Mei Ume for the first time to celebrate my wife’s big birthday so was the perfect occasion. The restaurant stood up to our expectations and all our family loved it . The venue is in a beautiful property within the Four seasons hotel so gives one a “ sense of occasion “. Food and service was excellent especially since it catered very well for some who very vegetarians. Will definitely go back there very soon .
Be the first to ReplyMuch enjoyed the reduced price lunch menu
The setting is luxurious and we had a nice, quiet table. Service was very good. The menu had enough choices for the average fussy eater and what we chose was of good quality and well presented
Be the first to ReplyBest Chinese in London - so far
We're pretty picky with our Asian cuisine and have generally been disappointed with the options for good Chinese in London (outside Chinatown, of course!) Mei Ume however was the best meal we've had for a while, every dish was delicious, nicely presented and well-sized. The staff was also great, considerate yet attentive and in a pleasant setting. Will definitely return!

Great friendly staff. Elegant and energetic atmosphere. Food was amazing. Loved the Peking Duck. A gem in London. Highly recommend

This is a Chinese restaurant and the food and service is exceptional. Located in the Four Seasons hotel at Trinity Square. Also known as 10 Trinity.

It’s a nice Asian restaurant where you can eat the best Asian foods in London. I enjoyed all the meals and will recommend everyone to visit it. The price value is excellent and the customer service is great. Even though I don’t know the names of all foods the staff helped me choosing everything.

Beautiful restaurant can’t fault the service, special shout out to Billy customer relations he went above and beyond, only gripe was the Peking duck very disappointing
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Food and exceptional service
Mei Ume is one of the best Chinese/Japanese restaurants in the city. The food is absolutely unreal, especially the duck rolls!! The service is exceptional, would highly recommend.

Visited Mei Ume last weekend with my husband. The decor of restaurant is stunning. And the food was delicious. Restaurant is inside the beautiful Four Seasons hotel in Trinity Square. The chicken dish recommended by our waiter was particularly good. Staff friendly and helpful. All in all a love;y evening and a lovely place to celebrate a birthday.

Was really looking forward to this meal , Wednesday night 27th of March at 730pm. I love Chinese and Japanese food and make it all the time and have eaten in nearly all the best ones in London . This place is very expensive which I do not mind but the food and wine did not stand up. We had the prawns to start with dip very nice. The ribs were great Steamed dim sum was our 3rd choice starter very basic have had better at my local Chinese. Stodgy almost over steamed . Peking duck £55 for half Skin not crispy , meat ok All on crushed prawn cracker base ! Seafood crispy noodles 6 out of 10 Rice Plates were cold told the waiter he was like sorry how was your meal , just brushed it off as the norm. Wine ok Riesling but very expensive over £30 a glass Over all lovely setting But completely over rated and over priced.

21:56 Ⓒ What can I say. all 59% I wanted a special evening for my partner and that's exactly what I got. I googled best Asian cuisine in London and this was the top result. We were welcomed at the door and taken to the table. At every point we were treated very well and looked after in the best possible way, and in particular by Johnathan. He was the star of the show and after being guided by him on my first course, I let him guide me to the two subsequent courses. He was bang on with all his descriptions and knowledge, without having to check everything with the chef. I was given a separate menu on account of me being vegetarian, so it was nice to have a full menu choice, rather than a token option. The 'normal' menu is equally exciting. Everything was fantastic, yes, it doesn't come cheap, but in this location the food is amazing and the welcome make it an event, not just a meal out. Would I go again, yes, there is no question here. But it will be a place to visit for special occasions. There is so much on the menu to try. So I feel compelled to go just to tryout something new, and experience the foodgasm, multiple times.
Be the first to ReplyA bit limp. Nothing special.
This is a fairly generic effort at the best of Japanese and Chinese. Somewhat like Ivy Asia and much more expensive - all the normal suspects on menu but the food lacks any real zing or passion. If you are in the 4 seasons suggest you go to the Pin French Michelin star one for a slightly more money. All a bit limp I’m afraid.

Set in the beautiful former Port of London Authority building, now a Four Seasons hotel near Tower Bridge, Mei Ume is an elegant and intimate venue. It serves Japanese and Chinese cuisine. The food is very good, although as you would expect for this type of hotel, expensive. Service is professional, helpful and understated. Perhaps one best for guests of the hotel or those dining on expenses?

We had an excellent time, great food meal , great ambience and kids friendly dining. The staffs were warm and welcoming; special thanks to the gentlemen who looked after us during Christmas and Brenda who extremely lovely , friendly and attentive during New Year Eve. We would absolutely go back, the food, and the staff made it a 10/10 experience. Looking forward to our next visit.

A great mix of both Japanese and Chinese food, so there was something for everyone, and having the chance to mix between courses was nice.
Be the first to ReplyChristmas dinner
We decided to have an early Christmas dinner for a treat in Mei Ume. The Wagyu beef was amazing. We also really like the Dong po pork, a traditional Chinese dish with a new look and tastes superb. What a great dining experience. Best Asian fusion in town.

Decided to visit here as I was staying nearby! Mei Ume is a mix of Chinese and Japanese food! It is very nice and modern! Had a crab soup, dragon balls and dong pork belly with fried rice! The food was very nice!

Such a beautiful restaurant, great ambience, excellent staff members so polite, welcoming and superb customer service. Very tasty food, I am glad my husband and I chose this place for my birthday. Everything was 10/10 worth very single penny, I wish I could visit everyday. Johnathan was so lovely to us
Be the first to ReplyOverall good, but needs to get busier to get its atmosphere back, and sashimi portions need to improve.
11-Aug-21: Visited on a Wednesday evening and it was evident that the lack of tourists in London is really hurting restaurants such as this. A previous visit, pre Covid, had found a buzzy atmosphere. This time, with just 3 tables populated, it felt strangely quiet and therefore a bit soulless. Staff were lovely: friendly and professional, and the service couldn't be faulted. Sashimi portions seemed a little stingy, however, for the price. Beautiful presentation but some pieces were sliced so thin as to be barely there. Other courses were better.
Be the first to ReplyGood service, average food.
This is my 3rd visit here. We chose Mei Ume due to its proximity to the spa which we are currently members of.
The restaurant is still beautiful, the service is still very good however the food is only OK not amazing. 😕
The peking duck meat tasted fine however the pancakes used to be fluffier/made on site. The pancakes now seemed shop bought as they were very thin and dried out quickly. The plum sauce had probably been in the fridge as it was cold and very thick.
The rock shrimp tempura was a very good, the soft shell crab good but could be too salty for some.
My comments on the food might be down to staffing and supply issues, so hopefully next time I visit more food elements are made in-house rather than what seems to be shop bought.
The best Asian food we’ve had in London.
Beautifully appointed with immaculate decor and ample space, Mei Ume does a spectacular job of executing simple dishes to perfection.
The bar looms large and casts an array of soft colorful shadows over the dining space thanks to the multitude of bottles and liquors spread over it many storied shelves.
Dumplings are perfectly steamed. Chicken sautés are served piping hot and are redolent with the aromas of asian spices and herbs , Sashimi is excellently sliced and delicately presented, all served by knowledgeable and extremely professional staff.
The Four Seasons at Ten Trinity Square is one of our favorite spots in the city and we will definitely be visiting again. Thanks to all at the hotel for providing a very memorable experience during our holiday.
Fantastic
Went to Mei Ume last night to celebrate my son's 21st Birthday. The restaurant manager was very helpful, the service, atmosphere and food were all great and I will definitely return. Thank you to all for making this a very enjoyable evening for us.
