This is one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood.
The food and service are good, but what makes the experience truly special is our server, Johan. He always goes above and beyond to make sure we have a great time. Johan's food recommendations are on point, and even when my favorite drink - the Yozu Cloud - isn't on the menu, he's happy to make it for me. If you visit this restaurant, I highly recommend asking for Johan to make your night extra special.
Be the first to ReplyWent here because my son saw it on some best nyc ramen list.
We arrived at 4:50pm- they didnt allow any in till 5:05-510. I should've left at that point when I realized it was that kind of restaurant that's only open from 5-10pm fine dining bc I wasn't expecting an upscale trendy ramen place. It's ramen. Expect tiny plates for appetizers and drinks at premium prices- but it is Manhattan so that's typical. Ramen was 20 a bowl for the cheaper ones. My son said his soup was oily. Only half an egg and pork belly wasn't that remarkable. I thought the noodles were a bit firm but maybe that's how some folks like it. I expected more unique toppings honestly and just more toppings in general- but maybe that's reserved for the $30 ramen bowl I've had much much better ramen at hole in the wall places or even standard ramen places. The concept of fine dining ramen is weird to me, it's not like they were offering some Michelin style unique ingredients- it was standard ramen in a trendy upscale place. The only thing kind of unique were the softshell crab bao which was tasty, but it's small and $14. Duck tacos were interesting but only a thin sliver of duck. So I'm torn- was a beautiful restaurant, great- Kind- attentive service. For ambiance and a ramen craving and money to burn- it's great place. But if you want just great ramen, I'd look elsewhere.

Delicious meal. Reasonably priced for midtown. Appreciated the ambiance / mood as well. Solid marks

Special thanks to Johan and Joe. I'll definitely be back. Everything exceeded our expectations!

Food is outstanding! I will say this is my second time eating here. First time was great! Second time better! I had the vegan ramen (i have a shrimp allergy) because I was told shrimp goes into the same fryer and or is in many of the broths served here. Although limited, I wasn't disappointed! My friend got the duck tacos and Ramen also (i don't recall which one) she loved it too! Sake reco was great, server was very knowledgeable! Go early this place gets crowded fast around 6ish. I'll be back!

This is my favorite ramen spot in the city, I come here all the time! The food is beyond delicious--I've tried basically every ramen on the menu except 2, and the brussel sprouts are to die for--and the service is always phenomenal. Johan has been my waiter multiple timed and he always takes care of us, ensures good quality of the food, and just makes it an enjoyable experience!! If you want yummy ramen, cool vibes, and a great experience, eat at Momosan and hope you get Johan!
Be the first to ReplyI was pretty disappointed after this meal.
Let me start with the positives: the hostess, the bartender, the service, the atmosphere, these were all outstanding. I would've expected the food to be outstanding too, but unfortunately it really disappointed. I got the $28 set that included an appetizer and Ramen. I opted for the gyoza (3) and the tonkatsu ramen. The gyoza had a fun presentation on the sizzling platter. They were fine. Not bad but not memorable. But let's be honest - I was there for the ramen. My first bite was delicious with a nice rich broth. Yay. But after a few bites I really started to dig into the ramen and found it was a large clump. That's right - it was a gummy clump of noodles. Not what I would expect from a Morimoto restaurant. Frankly not what I would expect from any ramen focused specialty restaurant. Won't go back. Well - maybe for happy hour... but not for ramen.

Very good service and food, the lunch menu had a very good price. The waiter explained the menu promptly and everything came quickly.

Good portions and I really enjoyed the noodles and broth. Very good ramen!
Be the first to ReplyBest ramen I've had in NYC.
Some appetizers looked a bit too fusiony but stick with the authentic dishes

- excellent ramen; hot and spicy- they finally got their liquor license!- the soft shelled grab was spot on- the bao with meat was decent - least favorite of them allGreat staff, good music, and fun vibes. Excellent ramen!
Be the first to ReplyThe appetizers were delicious.
The duck tacos were good but the chicken karaage was phenomenal. If you want good ramen, I would recommend checking out this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyCame here after work with my fiancé on a rainy day.
This ramen definitely hit the spot after a long work week. Broth was super rich and flavorful. The tsukumen ramen was refreshing and fun to dip in the cold broth. And the poke don blew our minds. The karaage chicken with the sweet soy sauce was phenomenal. Servers were attentive and friendly but were really trying to push us to get one of their specials. I know it's their job to, but she was really persistent, and it kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I got over it really quickly though when the food came out, haha. One thing I would take points off for is the seating. It's communal table style. I'm an introvert, so I'm not really a fan of sharing tables with strangers. They have a glass barrier separating you from the diners in front of you though. Overall, great spot for ramen/quick bite to eat.

The spicy miso vegan ramen was so delicious! Came on a weekday and didn't have a wait but were seated at the community seating in the back. The space was a little cramped and we had to keep getting up when others wanted to leave. Nonetheless, the ramen was good and I was a big fan of the broth and crispy tofu. There are additional sauces and chili oil at the table to add to your dish.
Be the first to ReplyThis was a hard one to rate, ultimately I give it 3.
5 stars for this ramen. While the broth, eggs, and the sauce on the meat was quite good it was lacking toppings. I really didn't like the green plant in it (the takana) and it had me wishing for more satisfying toppings. The mushrooms were a nice addition but I feel like there could've been more. Definitely a great place to get hangover ramen though because the broth was pretty good. The noodles were a little chewy but not bad! Be careful going later in the day because it gets super super crowded!

Underpriced for the taste and the service. Ambiance is such a vibe. Spicy wontons & tsukemen were amazing. Nancy is a phenomenal server

Arrived here for dinner after visiting the Summit One Vanderbilt. When we arrived, they asked us to sit side by side which was odd because it wasn't busy for a Saturday night. Within minutes the restaurant was deserted on a Saturday night. There is no coat hanger, forcing us to fold our coats on our laps as we strangely sat next to each other at a table facing the bar and other customers in the booth tables. We decided to order the Momosan Set (dinner only) for $25. You pick one appetizer and one ramen of your choice. My friend and I ordered a 2 pc Kakuni Bao and Karaage. I am a big fan of pork belly bao (bun) and this one was okay. I wouldn't say it's amazing, but their karaage is crunchy and tasty. They are huge too. They give you about 7 pieces. My friend ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and I ordered the Tokyo Chicken Ramen. To be honest it was okay, it wasn't flavorful. We both found the appetizers more appealing than the ramen. I wouldn't come back because I am not much of a ramen fan. I might consider stopping by the future if I want to try the sushi or just have a drink or two with some appetizers.

Absolutely delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fish was fresh and the service was great! The bill itself wasn't too expensive either and sometimes you never know when you go to a celebrity chef's restaurant but this is definitely a gem I will definitely be back and with company.

Wanted a faster meal but a place to sit and enjoy. This place did not disappoint. The service was great. We got there on the early side of dinner time. Service was quick and we got appetizers very quick. We started with karaage and gyoza. Karaage was amazing , good crunch and great flavor. Gyoza...ok. Then followed up with a roll and tokatsu ramen, amazing. My date had a roll and it was goo too. The drinks top notch, date had a Yuzu margarita, it was refreshing but not overly sweet with a great citrus vibe. I had a yuzu boxcar oh my goodness as a lover of all things yuzu amazing cocktail. Would come here again and again.

A great spot for not too expensive ramen and other Japanese foods. A limited menu but what they do have on the menu was very good. The combo deal is also great with an appetizer and main dish! Cocktails are also very refreshing and tasty. Would come again.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely need to try all of their tacos.
The one comment I have is that the quality of the Kakuni Bao (pork belly) varies. The first time I had it, the pork belly was soft, succulent and melt in your mouth. The second time I had it, it was a little tough and lacked the fat that one would expect from the pork belly.Everything else is exceptional and I would highly recommend.Top dish for this place: Soft shell crab Bao

The food here is AMAZING! Came in for lunch and had the spicy yellowtail roll, salmon avocado roll, spicy tonkotsu, and regular tonkotsu. The rolls were fresh and delicious, did not need any soy sauce at all. The spicy tonkotsu was my favorite (I love spicy foods); it was not overwhelming in spice, but still flavorful and the perfect amount for a lunch meal. The regular tonkotsu was *chef's kiss* perfection! I know I will be coming back many times in the future

So I found this place on @marcosworldnyc ! Dope ass New Yorker who shares cheap great eats! We love ramen and are always on the hunt for a nice bowl. YO! Everything was good! I provided pics of what we ordered! Spicy tuna roll to start the ribs the bowls! The saki was elegantly poured and overflowed for all that good spirits vibes and that. It's was an A1 flavor experience and we will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu. I won't drive because I wanna drink my entire drink lmao. The saki had me Enjoy! You chose well

MoMosannnn! We came here on a Thursday evening around opening and were able to be seated. The service was quick! My husband and I did the dinner deal (apps + ramen for 25) The gyoza was great! The bao was good, flavorful and good piece of pork! The ramen was good, I should've done the spicy shot. The broth was salty for me but the noodles were great! The pork slices in the tonkatsu ramen were thin. Still, overall a good place to go if you're craving ramen.
