Avoid!
So many things to be disappointed about. First, we were seated in the upstairs area, this wasn’t pictured or advertised online. It looks completely different- dated looking with no windows which completely changed the vibe. Second we waited so long for everything. Took about 15 min to even get a menu and even more time to get any drinks or food. The least straw was our waiters attitude. He was extremely rude, at one point he chucked my friends credit card at her after payment, and even apologized because it was that baffling. Just avoid altogether.

we got to the restaurant looking for a fine dining experience and a view… we definitely got the view, regarding the fine dining, it is not even close to be there. I am surprised Michelin endorsed this place

Avoid this restaurant.. so many better options within Paris! My wife and I visited this restaurant for dinner during February and were deeply disappointed with a number of things so we felt for the first time ever we needed to write a review 1. We were seated in the upstairs area, this wasn’t pictured or advertised online. This is a completely different look (very dark room with no windows) & this changes the vibe somewhat. 2. We Waited 40 minutes from being seated for our first drinks and I think we would still be waiting if we hadn’t of asked for them 3. The tables are so close together it’s impossible to have a private conversation. 4. A waiter changed the next tables cloths while bending over in front of me during the main course and this table being millilitres away from us without any form of apology. 5. As mentioned this room was so so dark you needed a torch to view the menu and no windows in this black room. 6. We contacted the restaurant via email and social media with no response (not surprisingly) To summarise We cut our visit short, avoiding dessert and buying further drinks. We still proceeded to spend over 200 euros and as first time visitors to Paris and experiencing many fine dining restaurants around the world I wouldn’t return to this restaurant with so many choices/ experiences on offer! Without doubt my WORST experience in a 4 day visit!
Be the first to ReplyHorrible Experience!!!!
I am first going to start with this - Looks can be deceiving. And this establishment is a prime example of how everything that “glitters isn’t gold”. How can such an “exquisite fine-dining” restaurant in a prime location not live up to its expectations? Well I am here to tell you all of the reasons why they did not. Made reservations weeks in advance for a party of six. Because we had received such timely responses from the staff via email to book our reservation, we felt like we had made the right decision. That quickly changed the minute we arrived to the restaurant. We were “welcomed” or should I say subjected to stares and not much of a greeting from the hostess that asked for the name of our reservation. While waiting to be seated we were literally brushed off to the side and told to move over. Once taken to our table, by the same hostess that barely greeted us, we were asked to sit at a table that in the corner of the restaurant with an obstructed or shall I say not even obstructed - totally hidden view of the restaurant right by the back entrance for the servers near the HOT kitchen. To make matters worse, the table was set in a way where it was NOT accommodating for three couples to have a romantic intimate dinner. There was an added chair at the end of the table - right in the pathway where the servers bustled and rushed back and forth. When we expressed our concern to the hostess and asked if there were any other options, she hastily said “No, your reservation is for six and this is a table for six. We have nothing else.” We asked if we could nearby at the 3 two-guest tables directly across from us and the answer of course was still no. We asked to speak with a Manager, who did come over and was much more empathetic and did tell us that unfortunately this was the only option unless we wanted to wait 20-30 min. We decided to stay and try to make the best of it because we knew that trying to find another restaurant on Valentine’s Day night would be nearly impossible. But quite honestly - I would have had a better experience at a local small business pizzeria than there! By the time we finished waiting for our table, trying to get better accommodations from the hostess and Manager we didn’t get settled at the table until a little after 10pm (our reservation was at 9:30pm). Once seated we waited yet another 15 minutes before our waitress came over to the table despite her walking past our table multiple times before stopping. We ordered our drinks and once our drinks came, the waitress accidentally spilled the apple martini onto my friend’s entire back. Now I am fully aware that accidents happen an the waitress was apologetic, however, the situation was not handled properly. There was no follow up with “let me get you some napkins” or at least “let me get you a new drink on the house”. We had to request that a new martini be made! As for dinner - service was rushed, food was subpar and took forever to come. Our waitress completely ignored our table unless we literally waved our hand frantically to get her attention. And to make matters worse - the entire time servers were rushing past knocking into the chair that they put at our table that they thought was a smart table setting. It was a hazard not only for us but also for their servers. That drink was not the only incident that occurred all because they chose to be lazy and greedy and make a table for six that should have never even been. Or two our friends had t left, then the person that sat there would have been subjected to food and/or drinks falling on them! Not to mention that there was a party of four behind us, and our tables were in such close proximity that we were literally back to back with only room to squeeze out. And to make matters even worse - it was so HOT!!!! We were literally sweating the entire dinner. It was so stifling because we were sitting right near the kitchen. I have reached the character limit for this review and honestly I wish I could write more. I will leave with this - DO NOT GO!!!!!
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointed!
We were very disappointed with our visit to Monsieur Bleu. Although we booked in time and I had asked to sit in the main restaurant, we got a table upstairs. It was ridiculous and nothing to compare with downstairs. We took a quick bite and left asap. I will never recommend this to anyone because there is always a chance to end up upstairs, which is a lousy room with lousy service!!
Be the first to ReplyBest dinner in Paris
We traveled to Paris for a girls trip to celebrate our birthdays. No lie, dinner at Monsieur Bleu was the BEST meal we enjoyed during the entire trip. The staff was superb and welcoming. The ambiance was sleek and chic. The DJ played standard house throughout dinner, which isn't necessarily our vibe but provided a nice backdrop. We had several of the appetizers - the truffle pizza is must and we each got an entree. I thoroughly enjoyed the filet mignon. The cocktails were unique and tasty. They even brought out a birthday desert decorated with a fun sparkler candle. Definitely would recommend this place for a special occasion dinner in Paris!
Be the first to Reply10/10 visit, best food on our trip!
The atmosphere there is wonderful, a dark setting with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. I highly recommend going late evening as you get to see the Eiffel Tower sparkling on the hour. The food was impeccable - we had the beef and the pork belly. Beef cooked to perfection, fries were lovely and crispy and it was a large portion too! The mash served with the pork was lovely and creamy. Couldn’t fault the service, the waiter was really lovely and made sure we had everything we had. Would 100% visit again! If we could pick out anything, in which case we would really be being picky, we waited a little while after being seated to be seen and we weren’t told the water was bottled (assumed it would be free tap water). But these are nothing knowing the amazing food and service we had!!
Be the first to ReplyNice, dark and expensive!
We went for dinner, the restaurant is incredibly dark - absolutely everyone needed their phone torches to see the menus which seemed a little odd to us. The service was very attentive and friendly. My daughter’s beef came extremely rare ie completely raw in the middle, no where near medium rare which was what we’d been told it would be. The waiter used the candle on the table to confirm what we were saying before sending it back to the kitchen (where it was cooked to well done). My champagne was a little tepid in temperature too. Overall nice but we did have nicer meals for much less money.

Had a beautiful dinner on our first night in Paris. Arrived slightly late but the hosts welcomed us in really well and took our coats. The waiter was exceptional and provided the best service despite him covering many tables single-handedly. The nibbles, starters, mains and desserts were excellent. Tasted fresh, presented well and was well prepared. The DJ also played all our favourites. A great evening.
Be the first to ReplyGreat night!
Monsieur Bleu is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service, and amazing views of the Eiffel Tower. We had a great night here and were luckily able to get a booking when calling spontaneously on the day. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly.

I have reserved a table at 22:00 in the evening and when I came they told me to Waite. When I waited for 20 min and complained they canceled my table. they were so rude. I do not recommend them at all.
Be the first to ReplyThe worst experience!
I have tried the restaurant on September 2021 it was better in terms of food, but still very bad service i have booked for 6 adults at 10 pm and we have arrived on time and they give me the table after 30 minutes!! And we i told them that one of my gusts was to late and she need to leave early instead of apologizing the reception lady said ok so you will be 5 instead of 6 !!! And they have not even apologized. The food this time was very bad in term of the quality and tast and everything it was tast leas. Also the smell of the food was disgusting not fresh. When we give the manger our comments he wasn’t taking our comments into consideration and he didn’t even apologize. The staff from the reception ladies to the mangers Very Very Very Rude !!!!!! (Facts: And be careful the restaurant is full of rats and mouses and they are careless about it !)

Was visiting paris with my husband and 2 kids (10 and 11 years old) and we called and made a reservation at Monsieur Bleu. We arrived on time and were shown to our table. We asked if there was any kids menu or any special kids meals and were advised no. After scanning the menu, we decided to have the truffle pizza and the octopus to share as the kids didnt really fancy anything on the menu. We had also had a big breakfast that day and were really trying to enjoy eating at multiple places throughout the day to experience the city. When we placed our order, the waiter said sorry our policy requires that each of you order a separate main dish. We explained that we werent that hungry and the kids wont complete a main dish on their own so we prefer to share. He then called his manager who was a very rude lady that said sorry each of you need to order one starter and one main dish as a minimum. We said we would be happy to add on another main dish (the sea bass) as a compromise even though we werent very hungry and she completely refused. We even told her we wont be occupying the table for long but still No. She did not smile once nor show any hospitality or courtesy. Even though we were sat there for 30 minutes wanting to complete the service but she was happy to see us go. As she would not accept our order, we left the restaurant. Cant believe how rude this restaurant is to refuse customers who have come all the way to their reservation and who are tourists in Paris wanting to enjoy the city just to be told we cant order what we like or eat how we prefer. We were going to order desert as well and other bites but they gave us no chance to make our own choices. Very very bad and extremely disappointing! Zero hospitality and customer service!
Be the first to ReplyLackof professionalism
We went to the restaurant for lunch. We ordered a bottle of good champaign. When our waitress Mily (who was excellent) served the champagne we realized that it had an odor. Both our waitress and the barman agreed on that and they called the manager who was also the sommelier. He agreed as well and decided to change the glasses in order to get rid of the odor. Unfortunately the odor was still there. We complained again to the manager but he refused to change the champagne, because according to him the odor was not as bad as before and the taste was good.
The service was very slow because the place was understaffed and of course the lack of professionalism from the manager ruined our lunch.
For sure I will never visit the place again and I do not recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.
It was just OK
The ambience is quite good ( we had a late dinner). The staff is too stressed and dishes where late. Obviously they have not enough staff! The dishes were good but nothing to remember!

Unremarkable in every way. I was expecting to have a fun night for my birthday, but instead I was put on a dark corner where I couldn't even see the table, was badly served and ate a poor quality food in an empty and boring restaurant. Go to L'Avenue instead to have a high class experience.

A beautiful venue and location let down by very poor service. I’m not sure if the bar man was having a bad day or what but the fact we asked whether we could go outside to have our drinks as it was a nice evening was met with - can you pay for your bill first… I offered to leave a tab as we were going to order more drinks but he refused. Subsequently we took our own drinks and snacks outside after paying and decided not to stay for dinner.
I understand this is a high end establishment but the service is certainly not there.
