TOO HYPED UP! Went here for the burger and it was Okay! The sauce is unique for sure and the meat was cooked good but for this place to make it top 10 burgers in Chicago NAHHH TOO HYPED UP! Does not come close to au cheval or hop Doddy. Burger: BURGERS are ONLY SERVED from 5-7pm at the table and you cannot order at the table after that? WHAT A BUMMER. Majority of the people show up here for the burger but the owner does not want customer to just eat burgers and the restaurant be known for the burgers so they have the 5-7pm burger ordering restriction SMH. Add ons: Asked for my egg to be fried instead of oozy and they won't do it! I don't understand why my food preference wouldn't be taken into account for the money I'm paying. Very disappointed! Service: Worst part is the seating. You have to reserve ahead cause it's technically a restaurant other wise you have to wait 1-2hrs until a spot at the bar opens up! Ambiance: Limited table seatings available cause it's small place. If you don't get the small table seatings then you are stuck at the long table sharing space with random people and no privacy! For a popular spot I'm disappointed in the seating structure, reservation structure and not able to order burger at the table and only at the bar! Very expensive spot $100 for everything in the picture! Pro: good clean bathroom, chili cauliflower was good and so were the beers!
After much anticipated wait, finally tried Mott St, to be
After much anticipated wait, finally tried Mott St, to be honest it did not live up to the hype. Maybe my expectations were high since it was hyped up so much. And when you walk in you see all the awards and Michelin rating you automatically assume you are about to have the best burger ever. The place is nice little whole in the wall, vibe is good chique atmosphere. Decent beer selection and good cocktails . Staff if very attentive and nice. Now to the food, as recommended we got the most popular item which is the Mott's burger. I my self would consider me as a burger snob and enthusiast and burger was not worth the hype. Don't give me wrong it is still a good burger and cooked to perfection, but I wouldn't put it top ten. It is very unique tasting so if you are tired of eating the regular burger taste the sweet tangy taste maybe is got you. But if you are wanting a good burger with a Kick to it this isn't it. And there are much better places in Chicago you can try. For example, Au Cheval or Little Bad Wolf. My overall rating for the burger is a 5/10.

About a month ago, I decided that it was about time to finally eat some of the best burgers this city has to offer. And one that constantly gets brought up is the burger at Mott St. Which is great because I've already had my eye on this place for a while. Aside from the burger, this spot has received acclaim over the years for their inventive, creative, and contemporary take on Asian cuisine. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is inviting and cozy. The space isn't that big, but they do have a sizable patio area for the summer. After putting in our order the food came out relatively quickly. We ordered garlic rice, brussel sprouts, the everything wings, the mentaiko kimchi udon, the stuffed cabbage, and two of the burgers. The rice, brussel sprouts, and wings were solid and a great way to start off the meal. The glaze on the wings and accompanying dipping sauce was fantastic. The mentaiko kimchi udon was up next. I saw a video on YouTube where a guy from The Eater said that he always stops by to grab this dish whenever he's in Chicago. He also refused to share it with his crew. Needless to say, I was intrigued. After trying it for myself, I could see why he didn't want to share. Hell, even I didn't. But I thought the next dish, the stuffed cabbage, was even better. Our server informed us that this was voted as one of the best dishes in Chicago by some publication, and I can totally see why. This was basically a lasagna made up of pan seared napa kimchi, braised pork shoulder and sticky rice with kimchi broth. My god, this was one of the best dishes I've had this year and is definitely a must order. Up next were the burgers. And I gotta say, Mott Street's burgers are outstanding! It kind of reminds me of an elevated Big Mac with spice and Asian flavors. It very much lived up to the hype and is one of the best I have ever had. We ended up ordering the mango sticky rice and warm ricotta donuts. Both were delicious and a solid way to end the meal. Mott St. has cemented itself as one of my favorite restaurants. Top marks across the board. I can't wait to come back for the burger, brunch, and to try the other dishes off their dinner menu.

I heard Mott St has some of the best burgers in Chicago and I was not let down! But heads up, if you want the burger, just make sure you are seated by 7 pm or else you won't be able to order it unless you sit at the bar. Cool place with a nice ambiance and great service. Also loved the wings prior to the burger and the desert afterwards. Overall, a very enjoyable meal.
One word - Sugar.
We stopped in for some drinks and snacks at the bar to wrap up the evening, and left slightly nauseous. In every dish, the only discernible flavor profile was sugar--no salt, spice...just sugar. The service was lackluster and mildly pretentious, which only added insult to the sugar injury. To each his own, for sure, but for us, this is a solid pass.

One of my new Chicago favorites! The space was nice and more importantly the food was amazing! I loved the cauliflower and burger. Great service and lots of options and variety! Looking forward to coming back!
My boyfriend and I tried the burger with egg and the egg
My boyfriend and I tried the burger with egg and the egg fried rice. The burger was amazing -- definitely worth a try with the egg. Kinda pricier compared to other burgers in the Wicker Park area but delicious nonetheless. For me, the fried rice was nothing special. I will NOT be ordering that next time. However, my boyfriend really liked the fried rice so I guess to each his own. Would come back, definitely!
Definitely one of my new favorite restaurants in town.
As a vegetarian, I was so surprised with how good the food was. The chili cauliflower was amazing and the mott burger can be made vegetarian with jackfruit. I added an egg to mine and omg, definitely one of the best I've had. I also got the juicebox cocktail and it was delish. My husband enjoyed the Mott burger with the double patties and an egg. Make sure you get to the restaurant before 7pm because they stop serving the burger then. He had the bourbon rose cocktail and the old fashioned and truly enjoyed both. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu items!
**this review is only about brunch** I've been to dinner
**this review is only about brunch** I've been to dinner and didn't like it but this is maybe my favorite brunch in the city, possibly the best Asian fusion too. I was so sad when it went away during the pandemic and then it moved to Second Generation, and then Second Generation closed but now it's back!! Both the pork belly Benedict and Galbi steak and eggs are works of art *chefs kiss*. very excited to go back and try other things as well. the service is good and they have a cute patio during the warm months!
I just wanted to put it out there are a few things I found
I just wanted to put it out there are a few things I found 'weird' about this restaurant. First of all, you have to order all your food up front. So, if you under order or see something at another table that looks interesting halfway through the meal, tough luck? The other thing that is a bit bothersome is the burger issue. This restaurant stops serving what could be argued their best menu item at 7:00. Is it just me or is that is like having Patrick Mahomes on your roster but instead make the decision to play Ian Book while your 7 points down with 2 min to go in the 4th quarter. Also, I don't get the loud music. I realize it is done in many restaurants in an attempt to be 'hip' but I have never found it useful. Let's be honest, have you ever been to a restaurant and wondered 'hey that dance track is so dope I wish they would blast it to the point where I would have a hard time conversing with my date' ...nope. I will say that a few of our menu items were good like the cauliflower, brussels sprouts, spring rolls and the skirt steak but everything else (udon, fire chicken, tofu, garlic rice, and wontons) were rather forgettable. For me, the biggest disappointment was the lack luster service. For the prices they are asking I would have expected more. For starters, our dishes came out in rapid fire without any regard to how room on the table and how fast or not fast we were eating. Plus, with several tapas style dishes hitting our plates it would have been nice to have fresh plates swapped out occasionally. I had to flag down our waitress to ask for more. With table real estate being a premium, I would have liked to see waitstaff come around with water rather than leave a giant carafe on our table. Lastly, two of our party of 4 didn't really like the drinks they ordered it would have been great if our waitress were to address why their drinks were still full halfway through the meal.
Amazing food! Burger was the best thing we ordered.
Drinks were also great! Would definitely go again.
I loveee their Mott burger! I went back twice for them.
I didn't love the 3 layers dip, the toasts were too hard. Friendly service and a nice upbeat ambiance I wish they have fries but that's just me being basic.
Second time here and always pleased.
The burger for me tends to be a lot but definitely worth sharing. The sweet potato shoestrings, hoisin aioli are so delicious and pair well with the burger. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts which has lamb pancetta which was pretty good according to my friend, but I just stuck to the Brussels sprouts itself. It's definitely messy but one of the best burgers in Chicago.
Such a bummer because my previous review reflected how much
Such a bummer because my previous review reflected how much I love mott street & how often I recommend it to other folks! I made a large group reservation for this evening at 8:30 and they reached out to let us know they closed at 9:00 - this was a bit confusing as we had planned our Sunday night around this dinner & the 8:30 booking was accepted & confirmed. Then they clarified it was just that the kitchen closed at 9:00... after we moved things around to make a 7:30 reservation happen. When we arrived we were disappointed to hear that the burger stops selling at 7:00. After a bit of research we found this noted on their online menu (I admit we did not check the menu beforehand, but this feels a bit silly to have to check a menu to confirm availability of a burger). The reason I'm giving this experience 2 stars is that they reached out to change our reservation time due to the kitchen closing but then failed to mention the details on the burger (which is why we were going). Although I do love the food & general ambiance - this whole interaction really soured our experience and made us feel like we should have just gone somewhere else.
I was having such a bad day until I came here! My day took
I was having such a bad day until I came here! My day took an unexpected turn for the better when I stumbled upon Mott St during a chaotic dinner rush in the rain. Despite the bustling crowd, I was able to snag a bar seat with the regular dining menu! TAYLOR, the bartender, single-handedly elevated my experience and made my day. She was so friendly and easy to chat with, and I loved all her recommendations. The oyster mushrooms really sold this place to me, I'd def come again. Especially when I have another subpar day
With a heavily sought after, gentrified dining hub smack
With a heavily sought after, gentrified dining hub smack dab in the northwest side of the downtown area, here we have Mott St, a name that's familiar to most, if not all Chicago foodies due to their creatively designed shareable dishes, and their crown jeweled Mott St Burger. Seriously, when most people stroll down Ashland and spot Mott's indistinguishable edifice, they're thinking of them juicy buns! This restaurant isn't just loved and adored by the locals, critics clamor to it as well! Right before you walk in the front door to the hostess area, you see the number of plaques decorating the wall, flaunting its top status amongst the league of incredible food spots around town. It's probably the best preview to a meal you can get! While the place was packed on a Thursday evening, we were able to get a table without a reservation. The service was quick and attentive throughout our stay, explaining the setup of their menu and how to correctly order their family style dishes. But first! Some drinks... The cocktails on the menu were all worthy contenders, but the citrus-y Sinners Delight, made with tequila, absinthe, gran mariner, and egg white, stole the runway! The taste couldn't be beat, hardly able to hint a taste of alcohol with each sip. The main course(s) were worth the all-time hype that Mott St set up for itself. The Kalbi Skirt Steak cuts, the Everything Wings, and the crispy cauliflower made for a perfect and safe meal for someone like me who's very carb-resistent and eats a generally low-carb diet. I love and appreciate restaurants like these who provide these types of options so everyone can enjoy just how delectable these dishes are. Out of the three dishes, my favorite was the cauliflower, just due to the seasoning alone. The steak had some tremendous flavor as well that didn't require much extra sauce to be added onto it for taste, and the wings, while a bit messy, did their job at completely satisfying the eaters with its adored-by-all seasoning choice. I'm sure without looking at the other reviews here, they're mostly about the burger. Unfortunately that option is only available up until 7pm, so if you end up at Mott after then, or you want to be adventurous, don't feel afraid to try one of the many different and uniquely styled meals that is provided. We very much enjoyed everything we ordered and were too stuffed to indulge on any of the dessert options available (which they have a few things listed on their menu if interested!). Overall, great neighborhood spot. Bougie food items, but with a mainly casual setting and welcoming crowd that can also give off a divey hole-in-the-wall vibe. Great for groups, great for a date night, great for takeout. Definitely a spot that all food lovers need to check out, tourist or local.
Great service - seating left something to be desired as
Great service - seating left something to be desired as it's a very small/cramped room and bench sets are not ideal. Burger was good but you can get a comparable smash burger for half the price elsewhere. Buttered King Crab rice had exactly 1.5 bites of crab and anyone can add butter to rice. Also had a couple other dishes (steak/fish) that were good - but not magical and not worth the price point. Cocktails were good but also 1/2 sizes when comparing to other restaurants in the area. Beer options also very limited. My opinion - nothing special here... Don't fall for it (too bad I did)
Sometimes I question how these restaurants are on Michelin
Sometimes I question how these restaurants are on Michelin guide!! Food is literally tasteless, ordered 3 dishes, we didn't like any of them. Space is cramped and uncomfortable, been on my list for a while, never again! Not worth it at all.
When we swung open the large door at Mott Street and heard
When we swung open the large door at Mott Street and heard the noise level, we knew the diners were having fun and eating fantastic food. Chef Edward Kim's mashup of various cuisines including Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, and Italian are both creative and bold. Much of the seating at Mott Street is communal. We snagged our own table with a reservation. The noise level throughout the meal was super loud. You couldn't even hear the music playing in the background. The biggest challenge we faced was keeping up with the food that comes out as soon as it's finished. We literally didn't have enough table space for all the plates. I wish restaurants that encourage you to order lots of different dishes, would also provide clean plates throughout the evening. Your plate just gets messy. The menu features sea, land and in-between sections. For $188, the Chef's Menu includes nine items and serves four. It's features many of Mott Street's classics. Here is what we ordered and our reaction: - Mentaiko Kimchi Udon - the best dish we ordered, loved the thick cheesy noodles and the dancing bonito flakes - Crispy Chili Cauliflower - excellent, wok fried, served crisp and juicy, large portion - Imperial Rolls - excellent, a Vietnamese egg roll that you wrap in lettuce and dip into sauce - King Crab Rice - didn't like, thought it was going to be a crab feast with buttered rice, we were wrong - Hanger Steak Kalibi - excellent, loved the jalapeno yogurt dipping sauce - Stuffed Cabbage - didn't like, described as Korean lasagna, crunchy sticky rice with pork butt - Everything Shrimp Noodles - excellent, but we shouldn't have ordered two noodle dishes - Mango Sticky Rice - didn't like, thought it would be better if sweeter Some things we wished we had ordered included the Everything Wings, Thai Style Papaya Salad and the Fried Rice.
The indoor seating is limited and they squeeze you in like
The indoor seating is limited and they squeeze you in like cattle. Most of what we wanted to order is sold out. The dishes we ended up ordering is bland and overpriced. Michelin star is a joke. Service is nonchalant. As for ambiance, be prepared to have someone screaming behind you if you are sitting next to the bar. Save yourself the disappointment and try a different restaurant.
Interesting Asian Fusion with a Hamburger?
Interesting Asian Fusion with a hamburger. Dinner special was served family style. Menu was very varied. Interesting decorations in the sense the walls were they stored food stuffs. Basically we were seated in a long bench table and eating in a pantry. Food was very good and the service was attentive. The place however was loud.
Local Chicago Gem
Great spot for an outdoor or casual meal that offers wonderful dishes that are a bit out of the ordinary. Food is delicious - ambiance is somewhat funky and very delightful. I recommend the crispy chili cauliflower.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
