mr chows is so delicious every time!! it was my first visit to the miami location and it did not disappoint. my sister loved it too. get the duck!!! but everything is amazing. the service is amazing at this location and the ambiance with the outdoor cabanas is beautiful.
Be the first to ReplyI'm not sure why all the negative reviews.
The six of us had dinner there last night. We ordered 4 apps and 4 entrees. We really enjoyed everything, besides the app chicken satay with some type of cheese sauce on top of it. The food was quite delicious. We all really enjoyed ourselves. The service is impeccable. They are all wonderful. The Elephant the room: The prices. Uncalled for. No need for those prices. Almost insulting. Almost kills the enjoyable dinner. They need to rethink their business model. With that said, we all really enjoyed ourselves. Btw.. valet requests $43.00. We told them to FO.

Be the first to ReplyNot sure what's really behind the negative reviews here
Not sure what's really behind the negative reviews here other than the ridiculously high prices. The food was mostly superb (we especially enjoyed the Dover Sole special that was included in our $106pp pre-fixed meal but with a $6 unmentioned supplement (making it $112pp). We also enjoyed the lettuce wraps with spicy plum or spicy hot sauces, and the quick fried prawns with walnut appetizers. The shrimp fried rice was also quite good (but nothing special). The Johanna Shrimp entree was just ok (nothing unique, equivalent could be had at any chinese restaurant). Service was SO attentive as to be a touch intrusive. A very nice meal in one of the W Hotel's restaurants, but at an exhorborant price. We ate outdoors in a very nice sectioned off sidewalk setting. We would return, but only for the Dover Sole which was truly unique and outstanding. Might also have the lettuce wraps again too, if I have the money!
Be the first to ReplyI feel the people that give a low rating of Mr Chow's
I feel the people that give a low rating of Mr Chow's either don't know or understand the legend of this landmark London restaurant. From the minute you walk in this opulent interior you are greeted warmly. My suggestion-talk to the staff and let them know what you're looking for. They are knowledgeable and super helpful. While their wine by the glass selection is limited, they let me taste a couple before I decided. Having been to Mr Chows in LA and London, this was the best for sure.
Be the first to ReplyLast nights dining experience at Mr.
Chow was subpar overpriced Chinese American cuisine. This was not a fine dining experience at all with the exception of the beautiful greeting and welcome by a fine Black gentleman who seated me beautifully and placed my napkin across my lap so elegantly. He gets 5 stars! The service team really tried to provide stellar service but it was overkill as they overcompensated with too many waiters standing around trying to "look" busy. My waiter over talked and was unable to provide an accurate description of the dishes served on the menu. They only provided 1 menu to the table which was a bit confusing considering 2 of us were dining.Too many table tightly seated on top of each other (did you guys forget about the global pandemic?! That still exists). The food was flavorful and the serving of bakchoy for $32 was barely enough to feed my 17month child. The very small serving of lobster shumai was dry and should come with a dipping sauce. My fav of the night was the green beans with a spicy chilly tang with grounded pork. There was absolutely no dessert as they havent gotten any food deliveries. Solution: the restaurant should have complimentary dark trufffles of chocolate for the guests spending $500 for a date night of 2 something sweet is appreciated with your coffee or cognac.I love the W hotels but Mr. Chow in SoBe is not fine dining at all, it is a nicely overpriced American-Chinese meal with no leftovers for take out LolGo once if you must but there is definitely no need to return a second time when there are so many amazing restaurants to try in Miami Beach.Final bill $425 for 2 and no dessert! Not worth it!
Be the first to ReplyAs the saying goes, "if I could give 0 stars, I would.
" Extremely disappointed with the service and staff. I have dined with Mr. Chow for years in both Malibu and New York. This was my first time dining in the Miami location, which I didn't even get to do. Our reservation was at 8:30 and they still could not sit us at 9:27. The hostesses looked like deer in headlights and frankly I don't think they knew what they were doing. There were dozens of people around the hostess stand and honestly it seemed like a fire hazard. No one could give us an answer as to what was happening. In my opinion they took too many reservations that they could not accommodate. Unprofessional and irresponsible. Not sure what the point of making a reservation even was. One of the staff members even said "I couldn't even tell you how long," and she was just writing people's names down on a piece of paper. But they use a computer to check in clients? Who knows what's happening there. They sure don't. Best of luck if you make a reservation.
Be the first to ReplyRidiculously expensive average chinese take out food.
Literally the worst dinner ever. Literally can feed the street cats with that. Total rip off. Service was good but that wont give it a second star unfortunately. I dont even understand how this survives in such a prime location and with so much competition around. Maybe because its the only chinese place idk. Never again.
Be the first to ReplyI love the Miami Mr.
Chows location. We stayed at the W, so we had to make a stop. The place is stunningly gorgeous. Staff is in crisp white, and the outdoor space is just breathtaking. We opted to eat outside. Food was amazing as always, service, ambiance. Hands down this is one of my favorite spots in Miami to eat.
Be the first to ReplySo I'm late to the party as this was my 1st time at Mr.
Chow. I read some of the reviews after my visit and have to agree, but don't think this restaurant deserves less than 4 stars.Going in, I knew the place was going to be Chinese food done over the top, however I didn't expect the service to be 5 stars over the top! The greetings with eye contact, pulling out the chair and placing the cloth over my lap made the experience even more personalized. I will say while eating it was a bit much, as I kinda wanted to be left alone between bites.Ordering was a bit confusing. I guess I fell for the trick where they have a selected menu already, whereas I was planning to order what I wanted a La carte. I did get a little bit of everything. I ordered the shrimp with walnuts which was delicious, lettuce wraps, bok choy, vegetable fried rice, soft shell crab ,duck and Mr. Chow noodles. For beverages I had a glass of champagne and a mojito. My friend ordered those basic lettuce wraps as I don't know why he ordered that as I can make those at home! The duck was not my favorite and tasted a bit over cooked. I wish I would have gotten the fiery beef instead. The Mr chow noodles were delicious and I ordered them after seeing how they are made on YouTube. I did enjoy the integrity of the noodles and the nice bite. The crab was mixed with egg white and was meh. Seemed like filler. I'd prefer if they found another way to prepare and present this menu item but I guess they do that so you may add to the rice perhaps?!! All items were plated elegantly and quite tasty however once the bill came I did walk away hungry still and with a $204 tab after splitting it with my friend . This place is quite pricey and I think is more so a service based experience. I have had much better Chinese for around $50. I hate to say that but I'm being honest. The "it" factor is the service and each item being nicely plated on silver serving trays. Will I be back, yes! Ambiance is great and although the service was a bit much, that experience is nice every now and then. I just learned how to order here and know going in what to expect next time.
Be the first to ReplyIt's a fraud.
They act fancy and elegant by having high prices and overly attentive staff. It was really the worst food I have ever had at a restaurant. The duck was over cooked. Fried rice had no seasoning. Chicken appetizer was like a weird boiled chicken on a skewer. Feel like I got robbed! Shame on you Mr Chow!
Be the first to ReplyIt was good but I have other places I like better so I did
It was good but I have other places I like better so I did not leave a full 5 stars. It was good food and good service but too loud for my taste. For someone who likes a trendy hot spot, it's perfect.
Be the first to ReplyI dined here on Mother's Day.
Our reservation was for 6PM and we were a party of 3. We valeted because South Beach parking...LOL. We checked in and were immediately seated at our table. The dining room was adorned with beautiful arrangements of all white orchids and hydrangeas and the floral scent filled the room. Our server and his assistant were extremely attentive, almost to a fault. The dining room was fairly empty when we first arrived therefore the staff wasn't busy. As the dining room filled up they were tending to other tables yet still available to us when needed. There was a Mother's Day special which we ordered from. The food was delicious! My favorite dishes were the lobster vermicelli and the duck. Pricey but worth the occasion! Babe made another reservation to dine with his friends in a couple of weeks.
Be the first to ReplyNot what it use to be back In the days.
They need to re do the restaurant. Food was ok Service was terrible. Server didint explain the menu he tried to trick us into pre fixed menu like it was the only option they had. Been here many times so I knew better. After I didint agree to what he pressured. The experience was just terrible. I felt rushed on a slow night. Service in LA or New York location is way better. Don't see this place lasting much longer.
Be the first to ReplyI along with three guest attended dinner at this location
I along with three guest attended dinner at this location on April 17, 2022 to celebrate my birthday. After placing our order, one of the servers continued approaching our table making sexual jesters towards my female friend. Having already ordered our meal, we were forced to sit there until payment was made. In a effort not to cause additional embarrassment to my friend, I called the restaurant after leaving to express what had happened, and to request a refund for the harassment. Brian, the Mr. Chow general manager, condoned their staffs actions stating if there was a problem it should have been addressed while at dinner. If you are attending dinner at this location I would suggest you NOT be accompanied by a female companion, or risk their condoned harassment by Mr. Chow staff.
Be the first to ReplyNot sure why the ratings aren't that great.
We had the 5 course meal for two including the duck, everything was so good! The spicy green shrimp was my fav. The drinks were absolutely delicious & the staff were extremely attentive and helpful, especially to make recommendations and break down the menu. We got to see the noodles being cut by the chef and it really was all a fantastic experience! The restaurant itself is in the hotel lobby of the W, and the whole area is really just a VIBE. Perfect for a date night, or special occasion. Highly recommend, and would be happy to come again!
Be the first to ReplyPoor dining experience.
Food was mediocre and the prices add insult to injury. We ordered the $96 per person tasting (for 3) where you order 3 appetizers and 3 main courses. One of our main courses was beef, and the waiter charged an additional $18 for that selection without even informing us. Portions were very small. One of the appetizers was a fried crab meat ball. Sent that back as it seemed I was chewing on rubber. Dinner for 3 was $425. This establishment plays the role of being a high end restaurant but falls short on its delivery.
Be the first to ReplyTHE WORST "Mr.
Chows" location ever! Mr. Chows in BH is my fiancรฉs fav. He was in MIA, so I wanted to surprise him with some Mr. Chows takeout. I had it sent to his hotel, he was so excited! He ended up getting food poisoning from the squab lettuce wraps! He said they tasted funny and the chicken satay was cooked too long! He woke up 2 hours later throwing up relentlessly! I felt so bad, he threw up all day and had to catch a long flight back to LA with food poisoning! Unfortunately I didn't see the reviews on here prior to ordering! I see several people who have gotten food poisoning from this location! They need to be shut down! I'm calling the health department on these creeps!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely love this restaurant.
Have been coming here for years. The food is magnificent, especially the duck. Service is 100% top notch. Alex is always there to ensure we get a good table and are treated as VIP guests. Just live this place.

If you are looking for a fancy night out and are sick of the steak houses, this is a great alternative. Great service and ambiance, (waiters wearing tuxes has that high class feel). A great date night/anniversary place. Food is pricey, but we would come back. The overall experience was great. The duck was amazing, shrimp dim sum, crab soup, all above par. I don't go out to save money, I go out to have a great time. This met my expectations.
Be the first to ReplyThis is the worst restaurant I have ever been to.
$92 minimum per person which is NOT listed on their website. Food is below average too. Do not eat here. Ever.
Be the first to ReplyHorrible.
ย No flavor, over 1 hour wait for a table. ย The reviews are accurate, stay away!

{ ZERO STARS } My husband booked this place for our anniversary/valentines weekend. He was so excited for our dinner, but by the time we started eating appetizers we both looked at each other knowing: this place is a scam. It's not that the food is not high quality enough for the price, it's that it's BAD. My husband was embarrassed for the place... and apologized to me for having spent a vacation night on this joke. Of course I wasn't mad at him but completely agreed that this place is incredibly rundown. Spare yourself and just don't go. Their business needs to be exposed and people should stop going so they get their crap together and stop ripping people off. The food is old with very questionable ingredients.
Be the first to ReplyIf I could rate this place a 0 star, I would.
We went here paid $200 per head with a group of 10 people, they were out of a lot of the dishes we wanted and 6 people out of the group got food poisoning. This is NOT an upscale restaurant, so do not be foiled. When I called the restaurant and told them about the number of people out of our party that got food poisoning their response was no one else has called the restaurant and complained about food poisoning, if you want a refund you can call your insurance. That is NOT how a nice restaurant reacts, simply embarrassing.
