Mustards is a Yountville staple and the perfect place for lunch between wine tasting. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance because this place is popular, even for lunch midweek. Being in the wine region, it's no surprise that the restaurant has an extensive wine selection. For lunch I ordered the Cesar salad with chicken and some corn bread. The corn bread portion is super generous, so I ended up taking half of it home. My server was very attentive. The manager also came by and asked if I was enjoying everything. He even offered to box up my extras and offered me coffee and dessert. I declined the coffee and dessert due to timing and being full. When my server returned, she placed the dessert menu in front of me and asked me again about ordering dessert even spending some time going through my options. It felt a little disjointed, like the two should have coordinated since I had already refused dessert with the manager. But it's nothing that would stop me from returning here.

Waitress Mo (Maureen) was very knowledgable, congenial and professional. Thoroughly enjoyed my late afternoon meal, Walnut salad, Smoked Duck and Cabernet. The wine, a 2014 Calistoga Cab was superb to perfection. Lots of menu choices and the wine list is exhaustive, including French Burgundy's, Rhone's and Bordeaux's. Dr. Parker Pan

I called to see if I could reserve a Birthday Dinner for a party of 3 on a Saturday evening and Christina was so pleasant to book me that table! The food, was amazing. We loved the Porkchop, Hanger Steak and the Lemon Pie Dessert. The service, attention to detail and ambiance was just lovely. I would go back again.
Be the first to ReplyThe Crab cakes are awesome.
They came with arugula to compliment their taste. The calamari is now my favorite in the Valley. It is topped with a coleslaw of carrots, peppers, and cilantro.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is an institution for a reason.
Dishes are creative, thoughtful, and well executed. It goes without saying that their signature dishes, like the seafood tostada, are delicious. But the same care is taken even with less glamorous sides. For example, we took a chance on the rotating Eat Your Vegetables side, which was described to us as boiled kale that day. Didn't sound like the most exciting thing, but it was cooked to the perfect texture, tender yet with plenty of bite, and well flavored with garlic and lemon. For an upscale restaurant, the portions are extremely generous. We probably should have left without dessert since we were already stuffed, but were glad that we made room for the towering meringue and lemon-lime pie. Finally, service is friendly, efficient, and down to earth. Despite being a walk-in on a busy weekend, we didn't have to wait long at any point. I can't wait to come back.

A perfect place to celebrate any occasion and of course eat pork chops (with beautiful grill marks). The pork chops aren't the only yummy item on the menu. We tried the crispy calamari curried slaw which had just the perfect amount of curry flavoring. Every other table had the onion rings or the calamari, just can't go wrong with either, and I was more in the mood for the calamari. The onion rings are on our must try for my next visit. We also ordered the truck stop deluxe. What is there not to love about a perfectly cooked steak topped with butter? We didn't have room to enjoy the lemon lime tart, which every table ordered, except us. Will be back again for the onion rings and lemon lime tart. This experience was for a celebration and we were welcomed with champagne to toast to the occasion. Thank you for that special touch Mustards Grill. We appreciate your hospitality.

5 stars. Server, 3 to 4 stars. Had to send back the two burger orders, requested medium, received too rare. Dessert 5 stars. The lemon meringue was off the hook. Would go back for dessert only.
Be the first to ReplyOn Valentine's Day, we went to Mustard's Grill for lunch.
My better half ordered Misco Black Cod, which was seasoned very good. I had Pork Chop which was very tasty. We both really enjoyed Honey Corn Bread that's very tasteful. We both give our meal (5) Stars.

My friends and I made reservations on Opentable for a Sunday lunch. Lots of parking out. We were seated right away and had great food and really good service. It's a bit pricey for a lunch, but the star dishes were the corn bread (although 2 fairly small pieces for $8), their signature Mongolian pork chop (really flavorful although very mustard - forward) and my favorite dish of the menu - the famous lemon and lime tart with the meringue on top. The dessert was very IG picture worthy and went really well with my espresso to complete my meal. Great place in wine country and I can't wait to bring my husband to try.
Be the first to ReplySimply ran by this place while going to our next winery.
So glad we stopped. Ate at the bar. Best bartender. So helpful, as were the locals eating, providing helpful advice and guidance on local, as well as, what to eat. Started with the crab cakes. Simply great. We shared the Halibut special. So good. I've never had it served with the veggies in this way. So flavorful and out of the box. The place was packed with a 45 minute wait, so make reservations or eat at the bar for some great service and food.

Be the first to ReplyConsistently great.
Probably best described as california comfort cuisine. Staff is attentive and professional. Ambiance is casual yet still refined. Wine list is diverse and thoughtful (Not all napa wines - by the glass included german riesling, a french gsm, italian sangiovese, etc). Been here a few times and left each time with a greater appreciation for this restaurant than before. Standouts for me are the Lemon Garlic Chicken and Pork Chop. Everything on the menu is fantastic. There are a lot of places to choose from for meals when visiting Napa but this should be one of 4-5 places you make sure to include. To me this place is quintessential Napa valley - minimal frill but very thoughtful and high quality dishes, service, attention to detail. It has been a staple in a food mecca for 40 years. No need to overthink whether or not you should give it a try.

The ladies and I recently went to Mustards Grill for lunch after visiting a winery in the area. Sadly, I don't have any pictures. Not because it was bad. Quite the opposite. Food was fire!So...Service:The host, wait staff, servers all kind, friendly and real. I use the term real because they joked with us, talked shit and it was like hanging with friends. Food:We ordered- cornbread, crab cakes, their porkchop and the blue cheese burger. We had mashed potatoes, house made chips and Asparagus as a side. All delicious. We didn't drink because we were still tipsy af from the winery LOL!We plan to go back soon. I am eager to try the roasted chicken and their ribeye. Prices are to be expected. We spent around $180 including tip. All well deserved and worth it. See you soon Mustards!

For lunch or dinner, Mustard's Grill is a Napa favorite of mine and has been for years. This most recent visit was just as good as always. My wife and I started with a few flights of wine. Each flight included 3 half glasses. The best of the Pinot Noir flight was the El Molino and the best of the Cabernet flight was the Arieta Quartet. The other flight wines were average. I will say that if you know what you like, the full wine list is rather extensive. In fact, the top of the list says, "Way Too Many Wines," and they are correct. For an appetizer, we shared the Maryland Blue Crab Cakes, which were topped with Espelette aioli and served with garden greens and sherry vinaigrette. It was amazing and probably the best crab cakes I've had in a very long time. Our entrees included Steelhead Trout and the Famous Mongolian Pork Chop. With the exception of the bone from the pork chop, our plates were completely empty when we were done. So Yummy! The only thing that was good (not great) was the lime tart. Given how amazing everything else was, including the service (I believe our waiter was Erik), I can give the tart a pass.If you want a great meal at a chill restaurant that is not pretentious, give Mustard's a try!

Haven't been here in years but came here for dinner with hubby and a friend. Service was excellent and we had an enjoyable dinner. Brought our own wine and ordered a few appetizers to share. Chicken wings were very good. The blue cheese dressing is amazing! Onion rings were unusual. More like onion straws in texture but very tasty. We paired them with their green house dressing and it worked! The entrees were good and well prepared.Dessert was a bit disappointing. I saw someone order chocolate cake and had my heart set on some after my meal. When I looked to order it, I was told it was out. I ordered the cream puff and expecting custard, was disappointed to find ice cream in the center. The lemon meringue my friend ordered was so much better. *Please offer more selections! Especially cake!
Be the first to ReplyFirst time eating at a 5 star restaurant.
The portions were on the small side with inflated prices. I had their pork chop dish which was juicy and had good flavor. Wish it would have been a little bigger. The service was average. Maybe bc the restaurant got packed with customers quickly. It wasn't a super large restaurant so it got a little noisy and crowded in there.
Be the first to ReplySo glad we ended up here after checking a few places in St.
Helena out that had no reservations, only bar seats. Walked in on a Saturday just before 5pm and lucked out with a table for two. Homey feeling space with tables fairly close to one another. Luckily the loud group next to us was wrapping up otherwise we'd be forced to yell just to hear each other! We ordered the rabbit and duck. Both were delicious with tasty sauces and healthy portions. Honestly everything we saw at other folks' tables looked great, too. The hostess and waiter were very nice. The waiter even talked about the smoking process for the duck so we could try to recreate at home. Unpretentious with great food, can't beat that. Will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointed in the well known restaurant.
The "popular" seafood tostada consisted of an almost raw swordfish steak buried in a pile of micro greens. There wasn't a description on the menu to guide choices. Our server was pleasant & the Pinot noir she recommended was outstanding! Like many popular places, Mustards was crowded & really noisy.
