I have been living in DC for the lat 20 years I am originally from Peru too My mom came to see me from California. So i came across this place not long ago and it did looks nice from out side, so I decided to give it a try, Worst mistake ever, this is not a peruvian restaurant, i do not know what is it?, but not peruvian, it looks elegant but doesn't matter because doesn't give me peruvian elegant eather, the music not peruvian, the food defenelly not peruvian, they mix flavors the wrong way, so I did order the (aji de gallina) but instead the brought me an albino's vomit, not kidding, the thing look and taste like chicken from a can, mix with some yellow souse that didn't even taste like aji de gallina, next i did also order (anticuchos) ,again did not taste like anticuchos were not even close. BTW anticuchos are made with the cows heart,NOT WITH BEEF. My mom order was: (Arroz con mariscos) it was flavorless the rice was so mushy like a rice pudding. (masacote) what a mess.I spent a total of 100 dollars for having the worst experience ever. They are lucky that my mom was with me, otherwise I would it made a scene that they will never forget. For all the people out there, don't do this to yourself this place does not represent Peru at all. I'm sure the owner is from Chile that why is given such horrible reputation to Peruvian food and if you really wanna try peruvian food, save some money an take a trip an have a real peruvian experience, I wish I know a good peruvian restaurant, but does not the case.
