I literally just got home from staying here and I have a lot of thoughts. This is my 4th trip to Vegas. I have done high end and lower end and this is my least favorite hotel I have stayed at. For comparison, MGM grande is huge and busy but has so much to offer. The only draw back is the location but the monorail runs from here so you can get mid strip easily for a little money. Luxor is low end but a cool hotel with many bars and Lounges and shows and the tower room was fantastic. Mirage was like a dream. Perfect location, perfect layout, beautiful rooms. Only thing it lacked was some food options. Now NYNY. Size of room and food options were why it got 2 stars. The food options are amazing. We enjoyed every aspect of the food quality and options. The room is very big with extremely comfortable beds. And that is where the good ends. The casino is wide spread with a horrible layout. Zigzags everywhere. We never could get the flow of the hotel and we were there 5 days. The room is spacious but the furniture is horribly uncomfortable. There is a weird red chaise lounge that is as comfortable as a tortious shell and an awkward chair. It was nice that there was a small empty fridge but when I say small and I mean barely fit anything. And it froze everything and we tried adjusting the temp. The bathroom is tiny. The soaking tub is uncomfortable. But what we hated the most was there was no place to sit and have a quiet drink in comfort. They have one open bar in the middle and it was so packed we never found a seat. We ended up going across a walkway to the Excalibur for our nightly quiet time. Which sucks! All the other bars are rowdy. This place is for the party people. So there you have it. If you aren't there for comfort and to get away from the noise of Vegas when you are at your hotel you will love it. But other than that expect expensive food and loud crowds and lots of Ubers.
Be the first to ReplyHassle at check in.
Not hot water for a 4a shower. Front desk mistakes with room name. Too much frustration and too many options in Vegas.
Be the first to ReplyHad to kill some time before the Terry Fator show .
So my sister and I decided to have a light dinner at New York New York 24hrs diner called America. We ordered Mozzarella stick , Buffalo wings and pepperoni pizza. The pizza was pretty good lots of sauce and heavy on the basil. Their Buffalo wings was basically fried drumsticks with buffalo sauce . The highlight was the mozzarella stick very cheesy and it was hot and crispy. The service was pretty slow and it was not crowded at all probably 10 tables at the most and there were other waiters and waitresses working. It took almost 45mins from the ordering food to the check we almost didn't make out show,
Be the first to ReplyNice place, good restaurants, nice clean casino.
No buffet, small casino, no cafe. Fun roller coaster. Good kids' play area near coaster entrance. Fun outdoor concerts on bridge. Authentic Irish bar. Fun Hershey's store. Pool is just ok. Some of the rooms are long and skinny. Il Fornaio and Gallagher's are superb. Extra large Nathan's upstairs near coaster entrance. New Capriotti's and Wing Zone upstairs near NY Pizzeria.

As a visitor to the New York-New York Hotel & Casino, I must say that the exterior of the hotel is impressive with its iconic New York skyline and Statue of Liberty replica. The interior design is also impressive, with details of different New York landmarks throughout the property.I enjoyed exploring the hotel's food court, which offered a variety of options ranging from classic New York-style pizza to sushi. The casino floor was lively and had a good mix of slot machines and table games. The highlight of my visit was the Big Apple Coaster, which provided a thrilling ride that took me through the inside of the casino and out onto the Strip. The virtual reality experience was also a unique and fun addition to the ride.Overall, the New York-New York Hotel & Casino is a great destination for those looking for a taste of New York City in Las Vegas
Be the first to ReplyIt was my first time going back since they renovated.
Hotel: excellent rooms; love the pillows, large and medium; sheets/ blanket perfect; bed firm excellent!!!. Very nice decor . A little noisy with the roller coaster. Casino: not as smoky Il Farnio restaurant: great branzino; should have included bread with a $42 price!!!Great drink for happy hour.

Who decided to upgrade the elevators during basketball tournament season?!?! 2 whole elevators for an entire 30-story hotel?? I have been here not even 24 hours and am consistently waiting 10+ minutes just to go between floors. WHAT A DISASTER.
Be the first to ReplyWe stayed here for two nights in December.
The price was decent but they charge resort fees for amenities (i.e. fitness center) that aren't even available/open. The day we were leaving, we tried to visit the fitness center, which was supposed to be open at 8. Well, at 8:30 it wasn't open and there was no sign of anyone, so we went to reception. We asked and the staff member sort of shrugged and gave us a "check back later" response. I told her that this was part of our resort fees and that we weren't pleased. She responded by lying to my face and telling me that it was part of the room rate. It wasn't until I pulled their website up and showed her the exact wording stating that the fitness center was part of the resort fee that she acknowledged that I was right. I had to ask for them to take the resort fee off for one night (since we had used it the previous day) - she offered nothing on her own and was super condescending. There are so many options that I won't stay here again. Between the rude staff and the casino smoke (and why is this still a thing?!), it's just not the best place to stay.

Casino amenities are awesome - the NYC theming is consistent and well done. Absolutely one of the best casinos to just walk around in and enjoy the setup, even if you're not into gambling much like me. Very cool just to experience, and absolutely worth visit. This is one of a handful of hotels on the strip I've stayed in, and it was the most underwhelming. Nothing particularly bad or negative, the price just didn't justify the experience when I could find better for the same price.
Be the first to ReplyHotel room for clothes is a joke.
Clean but where do we put our clothes? Two guests for this winter chill and our clothes are spread out through the room.
Be the first to ReplySomewhat disappointed.
.. for the money they are making on a room, you'd think they would at least have a microwave and a mini fridge, nope. No pen, paper, closets, drawers, water for purchase. Not sure we'll be back, but they won't miss us

I haven't gotten a room here, but i've tried multiple restaurants and spend time walking around. I feel like this is one of the more distinctive casinos. It's cool what they're trying to do and i think they execute pretty well. Many if the casinos feel pretty boring/generic. It's hard to tell which one you're inside often, but NYNY has a bold vision and sticks to it. That said, there are still endless aisles of slot machines.
Be the first to ReplyBetter than expected.
Clean, newly renovated floor. Good location. No complaints from me
