Food was amazing!! My child has Celiac but I called ahead and they said they could prepare safely and they did. Knocked it out of the park! She said it was the absolute best sushi and we all felt like the staff was so knowledgeable and safe. Plus they made us feel like it was no big deal to have an "allergy" as we usually say. THANK YOU NOBU. We will be back again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat dinner
Great food, unique dishes. We love sushi and we did not like this sushi at all. All the other raw fish, Shishito peppers, and dessert were amazing! Cocktails were really good as well; it just took close to 20 minutes to get a drink each time we ordered. super slow.

Great food, atmosphere, and service. Favorite items of the night wagu dumplings, sashimi salad, lobster taco and bento box. Would definitely come back next time we are in town

Iโve visited several Nobu restaurants around the world and they rank as one of my top three sushi restaurants. Highly recommend the spicy rock shrimp, waygu tacos, waygu steak, and crispy Brussel sprouts. Their service is always top notch with a friendly k menu that is superb. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyIt was OK
I have enjoyed Nobu in various states and countries, this is the least overwhelming experience. No major complaints, it is just that when I decide to go for a treat, and special occasion I anticipate being impressed very pleasantly. This was OK, the service was amazing, the food was mediocre for the price. We enjoyed other restaurants in Scottsdale the same week, which we will be visiting again.
Be the first to ReplyUnderwhelming food experience
Really underwhelmed with my dinner at Nobu. I ordered the omakase and am vegetarian donโt eat fish. I was excited for this dinner because a few months ago I had the most amazing meal at Nobu Malibu. 8-9 course with the most creative and delicious vegetarian Japanese food I have ever had so I really talked this dinner up with my friend but it was so disappointing. Had 5 courses 2 of which were mushrooms. No tofu or other protein was offered. Ended with an avocado roll. Everything tasted delicious but it was pretty boring and sorely lacked creativity. Also for the price it was not worth it. Service and ambiance were excellent.
Be the first to ReplySushi and SO MUCH MORE!
One of my daughters suggested this spot and we were in the mood for sushi, so we agreed to go. Wow. What an amazing place. We stared at the menu for a bit before the four of us decided to put ourselves in the chef's hands and we went with the tasting menu. Boy are we glad we did. The food preparations were unique, fresh, amazing and tasty. it was expensive, but it was worth every dollar!
Be the first to ReplyGood but pricey
For such a pricey restaurant, it is surprising their doors open exactly at 530pm with a line! Kinda strange. The service is very speedy. Almost feels rushed. Food flavors are good. The yellowtail ap was fresh. The shiahitos were tangy. Lobster ceviche was excellent. Miso Soup was average. Tuna cruch was sticky but good. Crab tempura was excellent. Flambayed Waygu was great. It was flavorful and presented artfully. California roll was average. The key lime dessert was just right! Overall was a fun meal but def pricey.
Be the first to ReplyIts ok! food is alright. Drinks are decent.
Great ambiance. Recently re-visited for some drinks with my girlfriends. Went there around 10pm, no line. We were able to get drinks from the bar and sit outside although no service was available outside. Last summer I dined in and the AC was out, which was not the most pleasant experience as it was really hot inside.. Overall decent place for a night out.

First time here, for a birthday dinner. Though surprisingly loud, the service and food are excellent. I was not a fan of sushi prior to having it here. Reservations and valet service a plus.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced for the experience
We were expecting so much more from this place, but it was loud, the door to the kitchen opened up to sloppy shelving that you can see, and just ok food. Not sure why everyone says Nobu is amazing unless it is just this location which is easily forgettable.
Be the first to ReplyNear Perfection
Just spectacular. Even for the non-adventurous, give it a try, and listen to your server when they make suggestions. You wonโt regret it. Unique flavors that surprise you and are simply near-perfection. So fresh.
The service was unpretentious, friendly and very professional. The atmosphere is elegant and simple. No need for the rather loud, thumping music that make conversations a bit more difficult. Weโre not old folks, but it was still a bit too loud for the experience we were enjoying; just didnโt really fit. Also, they could probably enforce their clearly-stared dress code a bit more strictly.
Excellent service
Great experience! Judy was our server and she was amazing! Made great recommendations: the warm mushrooms salad was phenomenal!
We also ordered sushi and nigiri, it was fresh and tasty.
Not Worthy of Bearing the NOBU Name
Having dined at various Nobu establishments in the likes of New York and Las Vegas, the writer was utterly disappointed in the revelation that the Scottsdale location is simply not worthy of bearing the Nobu name.
Our dining experience lacked in totality with respect to the culinary familiarity in all capacities from service to ambiance to the cuisine itself. This location simply lacks "energy" from design to staffing to ambiance to the food itself. Don't misunderstand, the food was decidedly not bad, but simply did not live up to what one expects to savour in every bite from Nobu and particularly given their exorbitant pricing. An establishment such as Roka Akor Scottsdale is far superior in all dimensions for those seeking a superior Japanese culinary experience.
Truly not worthy of a return engagement!
Nobu great, Scottsdale Nobu not so much
Kitchen very slow. Waitstaff not great (We had an unexplained switch part way through after the first one disappeared on us - but was still waiting on nearby tables). 2nd one was no better. They in attentive and when they attentive they pushy. Scallop came out way overcooked (it happens), but we couldn't tell anyone because no-one was around. We were warned by friends who were here a few months ago that service was terrible, and I guess it hasn't improved. Food came out uneven. The inattentive waitress and slow kitchen cost them money as I would have ordered more. Some of what we had matches the Nobu high standard quality of their other locations. So I'll try another Nobu again, but not this one until I hear it improves. Inside distance fair, we ate outside, staff in masks. Dress nice casual. Make a reservation far in advance. Parking ramp across the street, valet available. Menu on QR code.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food. Mediocre service.
Dined here this evening. The food was terrific however the server had attitude. The helpers were great and explained things. The server would drop food and never came to check on us. Very disappointing that a restaurant of that caliber has awful service. Been to many Nobuโs and have always had a wonderful experience all around. Again the food is terrific, however a server can make or break your evening.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful talent in the kitchen
Yet another great restaurant has come to Scottsdale. The atmosphere was chic and minimalist. The varieties of fresh fish we had were exceptional in the extreme. The subtle and, at times, spicy sauces were light and delicious. Our waitress was a delight who has traveled all over the world and it was fun to get her advise on places to see and she knew the Nobu menu perfectly. We started with the small plate raw fish dishes and then moved to the ribeye steak and cheesy cooked crab for our main courses. Everything was yummy.
My ony minor complaint is that the young lady maitre ds could be more friendly and organized. We stood around waiting to be greeted and didn't know what to do in order to get their attention. Other than that it was a perfect dining evening.
Great food with the worst service
We have been to multiple Nobus, this is the worst by far in terms of service. The manager and server were more interested in kicking us out of our table after being in it for 1.5 hours! Even after ordering a $500 bottle of wine that took 35 minutes to arrive. The quality of food was great but out was insulting to be treated like that after dropping that much money in a restaurant. I can understand if we were malingering, but 1.5 hours in fine dining is not that. This manager needs training and so does the service. The worst trained and most arrogant staff by a far margin at Nobu restaurants. Ownership should have managers from their other restaurants give lessons to management in Scottsdale on customer service and etiquette.
