Really disappointed
We were really looking forward to this dining reservation and were so disappointed by the experience and unfortunately the majority of the disappointment was caused by the service we received, rather than the food or the atmosphere. I am plant based and my fiancĆ© is not (which has not been a problem at any other Disney World family style restaurant). We made our server aware of this and asked if my fiancĆ© could just have a smaller skillet, rather than the 4-person skillet they usually bring out to share. Our sever said something along the lines of āit wasnāt on your notes. It will be fine.ā which felt weird. Lo and behold, a huge skillet came out for my fiancĆ©, which ultimately he couldnāt finish and resulted in a lot of food wastage, which is something we found really uncomfortable. There also wasnāt a plant based version for me at first, but we stopped another server who was really nice and didnāt make us feel like an inconvenience and he bought one out. My fiancĆ© opted not to have his dessert because he couldnāt stomach it after the main meal and I think it would have been a nice touch for the server not to have charged us the full amount for his food in this case, as we did make it clear multiple times that we wanted a smaller skillet. In hindsight, I should have been more firm. Our server never explained anything about the meal, what was in the skillets or the fact that three more items would come out later on (why donāt they serve it all at once?! By the time the other items come, youāre too full). Looking back at the menu, I also didnāt receive half of my starter course. The whole experience just felt really uncomfortable and odd, which was a shame considering the food tasted good and everyone else we met (including the brilliant entertainer) were amazing. It was also on our notes that we were celebrating our engagement and our server didnāt mention it at all (not that we expect anything, it was just odd compared to every other dining experience weāve had on property). I did provide some feedback on the way out, so hopefully it made it back and no one else will have this experience.
Be the first to ReplyNot worth it
There is no entertainment anymore. The food is dumped on you very quickly and not hot/fresh. Food is served well before your drinks. It seems as though you are bothering the servers if you ask for anything and very rushed. Any child over three is $40 and you do not get an experience only food. Very disappointing not worth it.
Be the first to Reply1000 times better than the last time
It had been years since our last visit to Ohana because it was not a good experience that last time. So when my sonās fiancĆ©e asked that we do in on our recent trip, I was very skeptical but we got the reservation anyway. Her parents were going to surprise her that day and we wanted a special place for dinner!! After all, Ohana means Family!!! Well it was AMAZING!!! From the salad, dumplings and noodles to all the meats!!! We all stuffed our faces, barely saving room for the scrumptious bread pudding. Every bite was so delicious!! Our servers were attentive and friendly!! We will definitely put it on our to do list for the next visit!!! Thanks for the magical dinner!!!
Be the first to ReplyNot worth it, especially if Keith is your server
Keith our waiter was very unfriendly and seemed bothered to be doing his job. We didn't have any silverware for 2 people in our party until the long after we received the bread and the salad, no apology he just seemed annoyed to have to get us what we needed. The servings they dumped on our table hurriedly were not enough to feed our party of 6 adults and we were never asked if we would like more despite being advertised as an "all you care to enjoy" dinner. The entire experience which cost our party of 6 over $550 was rushed. We were never asked if we would like another drink or anything else for that matter. The food was decent but not worth the price tag especially with the horrible server.
Be the first to ReplyThe over all menu because it is long out dated!
Wow! you can not rate after 2023? Doesn't surprise me because Disney is blocking some things in this area and heavily. The last time was in 2023 and I rate it a one. Did not like the beef and the shrimp was over cooked. It is really a worn out venue for individuals who in the area for a long time. Ugh! We, now skip this or go to Kona.
Be the first to ReplyCharacter Breakfast
We loved character breakfast! Food was delicious and the characters were fun! We have had dinner here in the past, but characters weren't present. Would definitely go for breakfast! A great start to a long park day!
Be the first to ReplySo yummy!!!!
Simply delicious. The drinks, the food, the desserts, and the service, everything was perfect. Great experience!!!!
Be the first to ReplyMost Disappointing Restaurant of all Time
Most disappointing food and overall experience of all time. Why this is a top pick at WDW, I donāt know. Our first time here and I would rate the quality of the food a step above Golden Coral. Steak was tough, chicken was weirdly seasoned, shrimp unpeeled (really, for a $200 meal?!?). Salad out of a bag, dumplings straight out of Costco. They found a use for all the leftover bread by making a giant bread pudding for dessert which was probably the blandest, most boring dessert Iāve ever had. And I love bread pudding but thumbs down for this one. The Polynesian where this is located is so outdated it makes you laugh. The entertainment was lame, really no entertainment except a guy playing a ukulele. The service is just a slop fest where they bring you a bowl of everything and you serve yourself. Waiter comes by occasionally. This is just an āupscaleā, meaning price only Disney Buffeteria. Food is just as bad as any Disney food establishment. The hostess was bitchy hidden behind a fake Disney smile. It was my husband that wanted to go based on YouTubeās he watched. Well, no thanks to the person that created the video and no thanks to Disney who cannot seem to do better in the food department. I wasnāt expecting much based on my experience eating in all the park restaurants and many Disney hotels. I was right. Donāt fall for it just because it is so hard to get a reservation. It doesnāt mean itās good. Save your hard earned money somewhere else.
Be the first to Reply'Ohana dinner
I have to say that 'Ohana for dinner for my family has always been a must. I was a little worried this year with quite a few negative reviews. We ended up having a wonderful dinner. We all thought the food was delicious. The service was wonderful. I gave a 4 star because of the half hour wait after our reservation time and the price....yikes! No one could even eat half their moneys worth and there is not the ability to take leftovers that in essence, you paid for. If you don't mind the cost, I would definitely try and snag a reservation. It is still a family favorite, but if the price continues to increase, as everything Disney related, we may unfortunately have to change that "tradition".
Be the first to ReplyAwful!!
Ohana was always one of my favorite restaurants. We just went last night and the meal was well below average. I thought I was eating pasta with syrup and the wings were all bones and way overcooked. PLEASE do not waste your money. I would say McDonaldās is 5 star compared to this! When I mentioned to the server she just shrugged her shoulders and not seem to care. Save your money!!

My wife treated us to dinner here, she filled me in on all the hype. First time at āOhana and first time at the Polynesian. Wasnāt impressed by either. The Poly reminds you of a hotel set in Hawaii in the 60s. It was fine but in no way screamed ādeluxeā. Felt dated. Now, āOhana. We sit beside the window, with a wonderful view of the castle in MK, a perk! Two adults, 4 kids ages 2-11. Our waitress was very kind and accommodating but it became very apparent she was also trying to flip our table rather quickly. As for the food, thereās no other way to say it - it was a massive disappointment. Quality: nothing was overly hot, salad was a highlight (yes, a salad. That was the state of things) also potstickers were very tasty. A bit of this review is certainly subjective, but I have a thing about āsweet meatā, just donāt care for it. Every single piece of meat felt like it was dipped in some type of sweet, sticky substance. None of it particularly tasty, imo. My daughter did say it was the best Macān cheese sheās ever had (kids meal). Iām glad, we paid about $35 for it. Overall, food just wasnāt impressive. Even the infamous bread pudding was justā¦fine. I mean, even the best bread pudding in the world is still just bread pudding. Didnāt wow at all. Based on the wild, rave reviews I was really hoping to be blown away. Imo (and Iām very much a foodie), you will not be. Quantity: If quality was disappointing, quantity was appalling. The food delivered for the six of us couldāve fed 6-8 adults. By the time the steak hit the table, we were already full. I couldāve cried watching them take all the food away only minutes after dropping it on the table. It was embarrassing. It was an extravagant waste, I couldnāt believe it. Family style is fun, but like one reviewer said I think they bring more than needed so you eat quicker and more food isnāt required. Overall, my impression of higher-end Disney restaurants tends to leave me quite disappointed from a food experience standpoint., but this one is at the top. I know itās just my experience, but I donāt think itās unreasonable at all to expect to be wowed when youāre dropping $300 on a meal (which weāve never come close to outside do Disney). At this price, just stay in the park and eat some creative and delicious snacks!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Meal
My wife and I dined here in a Wednesday night. Our meal was delicious! From the salad to the dessert, we enjoyed every item. The meal cost about $60 per person, but so think this one was definitely worth it, compared to other Disney meals we have had. My favorite portion of the meal was the dumplings and the chimichurri chicken. My wife enjoyed the wings the most. Both of us loved the pineapple and coconut bread pudding dessert with ice cream. If we can, weād enjoy coming back.
Be the first to ReplyA Disney Staple But There's Room For Improvement
'Ohana's is a classic Disney restaurant. I have many fond memories of eating there from when I was young so we were eager when my family and I were able to snag a dinner reservation. Overall the experience was good but there is definitely room for improvement. I'll start with the good: 1. The atmosphere: Like everything at the Polynesian, the theming is spot on. We had a nice large table by the window overlooking 7 Seas Lagoon. The entire restaurant, and the hotel for that matter, has an awesome vibe. The atmosphere really enhances the experience. I will say that they have jammed as many tables into the restaurant as they possibly can. There is not a lot of room between each of the tables. I feel sorry for the servers who have to try and navigate it. 2. The food: 'Ohana's is known for their delicious family style food. They've made some changes since the COVID shutdown, some of which have been unpopular with the Disney community, but we really enjoyed the food. Salad and house made rolls are brought out, followed by wings, the famous 'Ohana noodles, and pot stickers. These were all delicious and the noodles were spot on as always. We hadn't even finished the first skillet of food when they preemptively brought us out another one. Then the entree's began arriving. The teriyaki beef was delicious and tender. Although I wish it could have been cooked to a specific temperature. The one's we got were more medium, but my wife and I like our meat on the rare side. The peel and eat shrimp were great but I do miss the big tiger shrimp on the skewers that they used to serve. The chicken in the chimichurri sauce was excellent as well. Finally the famous pineapple bread pudding was brought out. It's served with a house made caramel sauce. You can't go wrong ending with the bread pudding. Now for the "needs improvement": 1. The service: Our server at 'Ohana's was pretty mediocre. I had heard mixed things about the service at 'Ohana's and unfortunately ours could have been better. It started out well as we were greeted quickly and ordered our drinks. We then did not see our server for quite some time. Other staff, not our server, began brining food out to us before we even got our drinks. This did not initially bother us but it took another 20 minutes after we received our food for our drinks to arrive. After close to 30 minutes, our drinks finally arrived and then we did not see our server for a long time after that. We would have ordered more drinks but our server was never around. At about the time we were ready to get dessert, our server finally showed up and dropped off a chicken entrƩe 20 minutes after we had received the other entrees. As stated above, the chicken was very tasty but we were confused why it was brought out so late. Then following another long period where we did not see our server, he finally brought out the bread pudding desert. It was then quite awhile after that before we got the bill and paid. Overall the service seemed lackadaisical 2. Length of time dining: I feel like we had the opposite problem of most guests regarding this. Most reviews I read say something like they felt too rushed. I wish we had been a bit rushed because we were there 2.5 hours by the time everything was said and done. 2.5 hours in a restaurant is a long time to spend with a toddler who wants to run around. My wife and I traded off running around with him but after awhile he was more than ready to leave. The service being so lackadaisical, added a lot to the time we spent in the restaurant. There were several points where we would like to have been done but our server was constantly gone for long periods of time. We had a lightning lane with Mickey at Magic Kingdom that we almost missed because dinner took so long. This honestly makes us somewhat reluctant to dine here again since we have a toddler. If we were to come back, it likely would not be under any kids are older. Conclusion: 'Ohana's should be at least a 1 time event for all Disney guests. The food and atmosphere are fantastic. However there is definitely room for improvement, especially for service. This is something that 'Ohana's has struggled on and off with for many years. Sometimes it's really good and other times it's not. It's a mixed bag at best. However we will likely be back just not for several years.

Iāve been here many times and it had been good in the pass but the pass two times it was wasnāt good and for the price you pay itās not worth it food tasted bad
Be the first to ReplyOur favorite restaurant at Disney has been ruined
This used to be our favorite restaurant in all of Disney. Every visit to Florida, I would make it a point to make sure we got a reservation here, trying first thing in the morning 180 days out. It was always a challenge but we always eventually made it here. I had read the negative reviews here before our most recent trip and didnāt want to believe them. But, unfortunately, they are all true. No lei for us when we walked in. The salad now comes in a tiny bowl at least half the size as before with a tiny amount of dressing. The appetizers are still decent and havenāt changed much (noodles, wings, dumplings, broccoli). But the most disappointing is the meat. I asked for some sauce (they used to give 3 tasty types before). I was told there is no sauce I could be given. The steak was ok, and came out with some sauce on it which made it edible. The chicken-burnt and I couldnāt even tell what is was but it was dark meat. And the worst- the shrimp used to be my favorite and now I couldnāt even eat it. Tiny, fishy tasting, gross steamed and not grilled shrimp. They used to be wonderfully grilled with a nice flavoring and large and easy to peel. I had one and that was enough. The dessert is still the best. No races or fun games for kids so I got to hear them screaming around me. $180 before tip for 3 of us to eat when we hardly ate anything because itās changed so much. The busboy asked how everything was and I told him how disappointed we were. He said himself, that itās the steak that ruins it for him. So Even their own employees admit how bad it is now, but no one came to talk with us. Our favorite place will no longer be on our dining list. I wanted to see for myself before trusting the reviews, and they are spot on with how bad it is now,
Be the first to ReplyOver Hyped But Still Fun
We randomly got a breakfast reservation after years of trying. Arrived early and got checked in right away. We love the Poly so having a few minutes to look around from 2nd floor was nice. Seated perfectly in front of the windows looking towards the Magic Kingdom. Server was nice but service itself average. All the food was warm except the Mickey Waffles and the butter provided was so cold you could not spread it. Character experience was good, but we have had better recently at Crystal Palace, Tusker House and Hollywood & Vine. We had a really good time because we made it so. It did not live up to all the hype. Go with measured expectations and then cross it off your bucket list. We will try the dinner at some point to do just that.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible access
Food is good, atmosphere is loud due to kids (as expected), and itās always packed to the gills. But what is completely mind blowing to me is that even if you have a high-price room at that resort, you get no better treatment regarding reservations at Ohana than someone staying at a different economy hotel. I stayed there 5 nights and could get only one dinner reservation there during my stay (I preferred two). I was even up at 6:30am 90 days prior to our arrival date and could not get the desired reservations. How Disney does not give an extra few advanced-days for actual Polynesian hotel guests to book dining at their resort restaurant is utterly mind blowing. This makes no sense to me at all.

Best food. Amazing service. You cant not leave there hungry. The food is fresh and tasty. The seating is comfortable. The views are amazing. I would not go to that area of Florida and not eat there every time.
Be the first to ReplyOhana Means Family So Who Better to Share It With
This is family style, so you don't need to order. They just bring you mounds of food (breakfast in our case). There is so much variety that you are bound to get more than enough to eat. Our gluten-free family member had the same foods we had, but everything was GF, so he didn't have to be excluded from the festivities. Lilo was scary to our 2 year old, but she respected the uncertainty and kept her distance until we were ready. That was appreciated. Stitch was up to his old antics, and Mickey and Pluto dropped by our table. Great food and a super fun experience.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed - overpriced and overportioned
We had been excited to eat here as we had heard great things. We booked it for the last night of our trip, 4 adults and 2 kids under 6. The decor and atmosphere was nice, but the bar and surrounding lobby were PACKED with people (we ate around 5:30). They ignored the fact that we were celebrating a birthday (not too big of a deal) but after they took the drink orders the food was rushed out. Man, there was so much food. I wish they'd let us choose if we wanted a little or a lot, because with two picky eating kids, we let a lot of food go to waste. It made me feel awful. Everything looked, smelled, and tasted delicious; there was just entirely too much of it and it all came too quickly.

Great restaurant in the Polynesian, we had the breakfast. Really good service and food. The children will love all the characters. It is a fun place done nicely.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely Disappointing, Never Again
We were looking forward to our reservation at Ohanaās so much. It was always our favorite place in all of Disney. Although it is extremely pricey now, itās been years since weāve been there and decided to go for it. Boy, I wish I never got the reservation. It was terrible. There is barely a glimmer of the Old Ohanaās left in the experience. I completely understand the the changes due to Covid but the food was just not what it used to be. We had a 5:10 reservation and were seated immediately. Our waited was less than enthusiastic. We used to get the old Hi Cousin greeting with a brief explanation of how everybody is cousins etc. There was none of that. I might as well be dining at any chain restaurant. He took the drink order and before our drinks arrived, they brought bread, chicken wings, potstickers, noodles, and salad to the table. They donāt give you sauces any more either. They used to give you 3 types of sauces in little bowls, peanut sauce and 2 others. I said to my husband. I feel like this is going to be vey rushed. Well, I was right. We were still eating salad and wings and the Waiter brought over a small bowl of shrimp. I couldnāt believe my eyes. These were not the shrimp they used to serve, these, were less than half the size of the ones you used to get from the skewers. We started tying to peel them and more than half of them were so overdone that you couldnāt get the shell off. They had no flavor at all. Ugh, so disappointing. Then they brought in another small bowl, 4 cubes of beef slathered in some kind of sauce. The beef was very rare, which is the way I like it but my husband cannot eat it like that. But it was also vey tough. It was so hard to cut and even harder to chew. They did bring my husband more well done pieces but they were so touch we had trouble eating them. Then lastly, the waiter came with another small bowl and said this is chicken with chimichurri sauce. All you could see was chimichurri sauce, you really couldnāt see what was under it. I took a piece and realized it was a chicken thigh. I was flabbergasted. Now they serve you a chicken thigh instead of the big pieces of grilled white meat chicken. All this for a mere 60.00 per person + tax and gratuity. I will have to say that the dessert was amazing. Itās a bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream and doused in warm caramel syrup. This may be the only reason I gave it 2 stars. Lastly, out waiter just brought dessert without even asking if we wanted coffee or tea. Personally, I need coffee after a meal and with dessert. He brought dessert and I had to ask him for coffee. By the time he brought it, we had finished dessert. The entire experience was so disappointing. If I had paid 40.00 for this dinner I would not complain but the grand total was 161.50 with tip For 2 people and we were out of there in 40 minutes.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent breakfast
We had breakfast here on our last day at Disney before going to Universal. Glad we came here. As much breakfast as you can eat and they bring it to your table along with juice/tea and coffee which is included too. Only the special juices cost extra. We bought one of each to try. They were very nice. Service was great and we didnāt feel rushed at all. Like someone else said no characters which is a shame as my daughters favourite character is Stitch. Not really sure why the characters arenāt back here yet as other places have them like Tuskers house. Apart from this it was excellent!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely awful, avoid and spend your money elsewhere.
Absolutely awful, do not visit. Service- was shocking, our server wouldnāt even hang around our table long enough to take our drinks orders in one go as he was desperate to leave. We then got food before any drinks came out. Food felt rushed, didnāt allow us to finish any before putting more food on the table. Never asked us how the food was even though we had complaints to give. Didnāt get asked for more. When we asked for more of a specific again our server went to walk off before we had finished talking. Slammed drinks etc on the table. Gave us the bread pudding and only returned with the caramel sauce later. Food- A lot of cold food. Steak was over cooked. I like well done steak and when I couldnāt eat it as it was solid, you couldnāt even cut it. Asked for another medium-rare and just came out the same. Noodles not worth the hype. Broccolini vastly undercooked. Bread pudding was stodgy and undercooked. The best two things about the meal was the bread we got initially and the ice cream, this should not be the case. We complained as barely could eat anything as inedible but still only got 10% reduction of the bill so still well over $100 for food we didnāt enjoy. No one around us was happy either. Everyone looked miserable and were experiencing the same. This was the restaurant we were looking forward to at Disney but a total let down.
