Great food and service!
Was told to try this place by one of our Uber drivers. Always take local drivers advice for food. Haven’t been led astray yet. We went there hungry and ordered way too much food. We ordered the mixed platter appetizer, 3 different empanadilla’s just to start. We should have stopped there 😂 but we didn’t. I ordered the fish mofongo and my wife ordered the large pork chop. I think they have hidden dinosaurs in the back where they cut this pork chop from. It was huge. And my mofongo was large and delicious. The food was amazing, and the staff were all friendly. Our waiter Alex was awesome. Great place and we will definitely be back next time in Orlando. Be warned the plates are huge!
Be the first to ReplyPal Campo in Orlando, Florida (Puerto Rican Cuisine)
Pal Campo was recommended so my husband and I went for lunch. The place is big. The waitresses are dressed in Puerto Rican traditional dresses. After we were seated the waitress took a while to come back and take our order as was the delivery of the food. The restaurant was not crowded but it seemed they were short staff. The waitress never came back to check if we wanted or needed anything else like hot sauce, etc. and to check if wanted dessert. The hand held device they were using for payment was not working well she told us. The place as big as it was should have been roped off and opened up if the place got crowded. There was enough space to leave tables in between so guest would feel comfortable since Covid is still a threat. The service was poor and the ambiance was cold and unfriendly (the waitresses didn't seem to be engaged in their job) and our waitress didn't make an effort to wait on us. The impression and attitude they gave out was one of disengagement. The pastelillos under appetizers were very good. My husband ordered Chicharon de Pollo and he said the entree was okay. I had chicken a la planilla with tostones rice and beans. The chicken was a little hard-probably overcooked. Overall we were disappointed in the service. First impression is key in having customers come back. From a 1-10 I rate Pal Campo a 3.

In Orlando on a business trip, I read about Pal Campo online and decided to give it a try -- this was a great choice. Located in a strip mall, it was very busy even at 7 PM during a weeknight. The ambiance is really cool, like you're sitting in Old Town San Juan. I've wanted to try a Puerto Rican pork dish called Chuletta Kan Kan, essentially a special pork chop with the crackling in tact on the edges. It was huge and served with rice and black beans (other choices available), and everything was excellent. There is a small bar area where I was able to sit without having to wait for a table, and service was very good. Highly Recommended!

We had a family dinner take out from this restaurant. Really easy ordering-system online. Food was ready on time and was delicious!
Be the first to ReplyNot True Puerto Rican uisine
Was dissappointed with the food. Not Puerto Rican cuisine at all. Environment was great in decor and servers attire but our server was in a hurry and he did not attend to us in a timely manner. Food I ordered was not tasty and the presentation was very messy.

Visited this restaurant for the first time after seeing video in YouTube and reading reviews. Lovely place. I have been to many restaurants all over the world, all over Europe, Middle East and Asia. and I would rate this place high on my list. Ambiance is great, food tasted excellent, service was wonderful as well. I read some negative reviews and you really can’t please everyone, and at times people may have had a single bad visit. But a place that’s appears to be crowded all the time, it’s more good than bad. We went on a Weekday and it was full. Prices are a bit high, but not astronomical. As a matter of fact it is in par with some of the local restaurants where I live, who offer less ambiance and food. But with our current inflation what isn’t expensive these days. I highly recommend it.

The staff and food was great, live music, and awesome food. The murals were fantastic. We paid $157 for 3 pastelillos, 1 mofongos relleno de churrasco, 1 mofongo relleno de camarones, and asopao, 3 medallas, and 3 kolas. The only downside, no reservations aer allowed which the wait can be quite long at times
Be the first to ReplyBETTER OFF GOING TO A FOOD TRUCK OR MR. Mofongo
First I would like to say I was so disappointed in this restaurant. There was a whole lot of false advertising. The food was not true Puerto Rican food. This placed advertised Mofongo and it was mangu!!! I was so embarrassed that brought my family there. As for the women restroom, it ONLY had two bathroom stalls and I don't think it is wheelchair accessible. The chicharrones were a joke!!! They were cut so small they should have added it to rice. By the way...if you are putting sancocho on the menu, please tell people it's chicken sancocho. Again false advertising!! Then have the nerve to charge those outrageous prices. Nothing was good. Take down the pictures in the menu because they are not true. You are better off going to a food truck or Mr. Mofongo! NEVER AGAIN!!!! Live and learn!!!

Large menu with plenty of options. Everything was excellently prepared and staff was friendly. Plenty of drink options too. Would definitely go back.
Be the first to ReplyPal Campo??? (Hasta luego!!)
This restaurant has delicious food and their ego has gone Sky High and think that people want them instead of they want the people service was terrible when you order it feels like you're bothering them long wait but this will die soon once people start noticing good luck for whoever goes there again

I’ve been wanting to go here ever since I’ve seen this restaurant on Instagram. It did NOT disappoint. Food was seasoned to perfection, nothing extra was needed. They didn’t have any souvenir goblets for my Coronarita which I was saddened by. Great atmosphere we went in the middle of the day and it was nice and relaxing. Will definitely recommend and come back time and time again.
Be the first to ReplyBusy Saturday night takeout
Came on a busy Saturday night and the place was packed. Beautiful decorations and definitely bigger than what it looks from outside. We decided to order to go and take it to the hostel. I ordered online and when I got there the 2 hostess were very friendly and we spoke a bit, the made me feel very welcome. I asked if they do reservations and they said no. When I got there, the food wasn’t ready as of yet one of the hostess went to the back and came back and said it wasn’t ready . I told her I was going to wait in the car and she said she will let me know when. I got my food 10 min after that. When I checked the food before leaving nothing was “hot” as if the food had been ready for a bit. Everything was warm to cold. As far as the flavor. The alcapurrias both beef and crab were ok, but not amazing. The chicharron was very well seasoned and we loved it. The trifongo was ok. The octopus was delicious and I highly recommend. And finally the fried cheese with guava was also good. Overall I recommend to try , but maybe the full dine in experience to assure food freshness.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible pricey food
We went with our family visiting from Boston to celebrate my birthday and were very dissappointed I got a pechuga rellena and it tasted like it was reheated the mofongo was dry and had no flavor, the only good thing was the rice, it was four of us and got charged for $180 we will never go back to that restaurant .

I never go to the same restaurant twice when out of town, but Pal Campo is an exception. Great flavorful food. Terrific lively atmosphere. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. I had the conch mufongo one night, and the skirt steak and shrimp the other. Both were outstanding. If you are in are in Orlando, it is a must try.

Be the first to ReplyFun restaurant, but don't be fooled on your birthday
We wanted to try something different to celebrate my 40th birthday. This place was busy with a very fun and upbeat atmosphere. Our waiter was really good and patient with us we asked a lot of questions about the dishes. He informed us that there was a very long wait for food, but was able to get my 4 yr old daughter's food, and a snack out for my FIL very quickly, which we appreciated. Once we received our food, we did enjoy our meals. However, as we were celebrating my 40th birthday (along with many other groups around us), my husband let the waiter know that it was my birthday. So the wait staff came to our table to sang their upbeat birthday song and provided a birthday desert,. The SHOCK came when we got the bill... they charged us $19.99 for the birthday desert!!! We have a very large family, have celebrated numerous birthdays at restaurants, and we have NEVER been charged for a birthday desert or song from the wait staff. For my husband's 40th birthday only a few months prior, we went to 3 separate restaurants to celebrate, and ALL 3 gave him a complimentary desert. We brought this to the waiters attention because my husband was never told there would be a cost to the birthday 'request' or the price of it. Birthday deserts have been complimentary at every single restaurant we have been to. Even after bringing this to the waiters attention, they did not comp. the desert and just gave us a lame excuse. For this simple reason, we will not return or recommend this restaurant... Management needs to understand that if people make the choice to celebrate their birthday at your restaurant, the least you can do is provide a complimentary desert, because that is the least anyone celebrating their birthday would expect. We could go ANYWHERE else to spend our money on this occasion, but we chose your restaurant....... show some appreciation, and not ruin the day for a measly $20.
Be the first to ReplyGood mojitos, very unfriendly waiter (rubia de farmacia)
Very good mojitos. Well made and delicious. Very unfriendly waiter. I gave a kiss to my girlfriend, and she interrupted us, chastised us. Good, quality drinks and very friendly bartender. Very mean, and unfriendly waiter. Recommend, but be cautious with the waiter.
Be the first to ReplyLoud and crowded but I enjoyed the mofungo
Went on a whim as it is right next to our resort. 35 minute wait on a Saturday night is not unreasonable to get in. Had shrimp soup - tasty but shrimp was overdone. Skirt steak also tasty but a little tough. Octopus mofungo was good. I’ve never had mofungo before so not sure if my opinion is definitive but I enjoyed it. Also enjoyed the 24 oz house amber beer. I’ve seen reviews saying it was pricey here but our 3 dinners and drinks were $77 which is not unheard of in the resort areas. My biggest critique is the volume of the entertainment. It’s supposed to dinner music not a rock concert. The guy was good and I enjoyed him but due to the crowdedness and consequently long wait for food it started to wear me down - especially when he stopped singing and blared the recording instead. I would definitely go back if they weren’t as busy. If there is a line out the door and you can hear the music from the street maybe come back a different time.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service and delicious food
This is my second time (it’s been two years!) here but my husband’s first time.
We arrived a little after 7pm on a Friday evening. I was expecting it to be a long wait.
Surprisingly it wasn’t. We were seated right away. It was very busy but not too crazy.
We got seated in an area that it was very cold so I went back to the hostess and asked her if she could move us somewhere else. Very nicely, she did.
Christian was our server- friendly, answered the questions we had and seemed to know the menu very well.
I ordered the churrasco with white rice and a side of tostones (it cost extra). Husband ordered the alcapurria de jueyes for appetizer (a bit pricey for the portion) and then the stuffed mofongo with pulpo.
Food came out fast for being a busy night. I noticed the bussers came out quickly and cleaned the tables as soon as people left.
Restaurant is pricey but the service is great and the food is delicious. Some times it was hard to talk to the server because of the loud music but you just have to be patient!
My husband liked it and wants to return so that’s great!
Great experience for our family
Our waitress was so sweet. Other reviews say the staff isn’t friendly, and the first hostess person we saw when we walked in def had an rbf about her lol, but the other people who brought out our food were also very nice.
The mojitos were great. The kids meal was great too. They bring it out on a little cafe tray, like a school lunch, and included the sides and wrapped Oreo.
Large portions and lots of flavor. Everything seemed really fresh. We had to take a doggy bag so we got to enjoy it all again later. The garlic sauce is no joke. Good but I wish I tried the red instead.
Go to Old San Juan in Orlando
This restaurant has a great atmosphere, you feel like you are in a cafe in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. We had been craving mofongo and this is the restaurant to get it!!! My daughter had the chicken and I had the pork. Her chicken had the red sauce, it melted in your mouth. My pork was perfect. Both came out in these wood-like bowl with pickled onions on top and a fried banana garnish. Hubby had the traditional mofongo with his pork on the side. Very happy with this restaurant and will definitely be back.

My husband and his family are all from Puerto Rico and they love to come to this place. We have visited many times and have never had a bad experience. The food is delicious and the drinks are strong. We purchased the Pal Campo refillable cocktail glasses so we get discounted drinks each time we visit. I highly recommend the Mofongo it is delicious.

Worth A Try!
It was a very pleasant experience. Our server, Oscar was very patient and professional. He took the time to listen and help me along when I tried my best Spanish. I ordered the garlic chicken. My wife ordered the cube steak. The servings were generous. We will definitely visit again. It’s right across from the Sheraton Vistana. Go early! It fills up fast on the weekends.

So good I went twice in a week
After reading some reading some reviews I had to go. It was worth it.
The quality of the food outstanding. Talking about portions are huge, I could have split with my wife.
Mofongo is very good plus the arroz manposteo.
When I'm back to Orlando I will be back to this place!
