Excellent location and large room.
The room was very clean and it was much larger room then I envisioned. It had a big kitchen area and bathroom. We also loved the rooftop lounge!! The location canโt be beat! I would definitely stay there again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place very poor staff
Excellent location excellent room and well layed out The roof top was good The staff were borderline rude and more interested in the phones rather than the customer When we checked out the front desk lady didnโt say hello thank you or goodbye
Be the first to ReplyLovely stay on the beachfront
We had a lovely two day stay. Paid a bit extra for higher oceanfront 1 br suite. Yes, itโs a bit noisy but quietened down by 11:00 except for the odd passerby. Ear plugs work well. The view of the beach is exceptional, room was very comfortable and access is simple. The fan worked well - some complained that the light would stay on while the fan worked. Ours was fine, no problem with fan while the light was off. Nice rooftop patio for relaxing and having a couple of drinks. BBQ available to use. All in all, an enjoyable stay.
Be the first to ReplyQuirky, minimalist, left field stay
No air conditioner, but at night, the cool beach air was great (here in October). There was a fan in the closet we used, but the ceiling fan had some issues. We couldn't turn the light off with the fan running. We removed the bulb during our stay and put it back when we left. It can be noisy at night with the windows down and some motorcycle drive bys, but we had a great time here. We loved the rooftop terrace. The front desk folks were super friendly and helpful, You can rent bikes next door and cruise Venice Beach. The place was neat and tidy with a little kitchen so you don't have to eat every meal at a restaurant. The hotel is not for everybody, but if you are up for adventure, you will like this place.

First timer to LA, we carefully selected this hotel because of location. The staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. The room was great, lots of space and very clean. There was a little noise at night but not enough to bother us. The roof terrace was a fab place to hang out and have a few beers watching the spectacular sunsets. Just arrived back to UK and already scoping out a trip for next year and we will be staying here again

This place was horrible. First of all, these no aircon. These a ceiling fan however, itโs on a system that wonโt let you turn the light off without turning the fan off, so on a hot night when you want the fan going but the light off you canโt. Our shower didnโt work and when we asked reception all they could say was they could have someone out to fix it tomorrow (we were only there for 1 night) so this was pointless to us. That was there only solution. The photos online of this place only show you the half decent shots of this place. However, the location is prime.

Clean hotel, comfy room...mask obsessed front desk girls; not welcoming or friendly. Gilbert was awesome...he was prettier and had better nails. We will visit one of his other hotels, for sure. Loved him.

Right next to the beach, beautiful. Loved the rooftop view. Room was nice/clean. Comfortable bed & clean. However no air conditioner & was very hot/stuffy even with fans/ windows open. Older building with coin up laundry. Guest were kind. Staff was nice. No on site parking. Had to walk about 10 minute to get to and from parking lot they provided. Bit pricey for the room. Dishes were in the dishwasher. Didn't like that the bathroom door was see through. But over all we had a great experience. Don't regret our stay. They provide sand toys/boards, umbrellas for beach fun, with exceptional of needed to return.
Be the first to ReplyVery clean and fresh, right on the beach.
We had a nice, clean second floor room with a really comfortable bed and pillows. No A/C but the ceiling fan was ok. The room also had a fully equipped kitchenette, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, hob and small oven. The outside of the hotel is well presented and has an amazing mural covering the whole side. Inside the hotel is bright and fresh and looks recently painted. The front entrance is secure and we felt safe which is more than we did out in Venice boardwalk area where there are a lot of homeless people, some of whom are quite intimidating. During our stay we were woken up a few times during the night due to someone right outside the hotel shouting abuse and hollering intermittently and generally being a nuisance from around 02:30 onwards. Of course not the fault of the hotel but no one really seemed to do anything about this public nuisance so assume this is acceptable behaviour in this area?! Unfortunately we had no real view of anything except the car park below and building opposite, plus the homeless person sleeping on a mattress in the side street right outside our window (perhaps the same individual being a nuisance). Thereโs a great roof terrace with a BBQ area, a few tables, chairs and sun loungers and this area would be perfect to relax or catch sun downers, sadly the weather was not great during our one night visit so we never got to experience this. There are some coin operated washing machines and dryers on the terrace floor exit area. The parking lot next to the hotel is used as a private car park and you can valet park overnight for $45. Also note that currently you will still need to wear a face mask at this property. We were happy with our room and the hotel although the surrounding areas including the boardwalk do not feel safe due to lots of homeless people loitering around and being a nuisance. Iโm not sure weโll be back anytime soon.

Guest parking is expensive at $20 a day/night and inconveniently located several blocks from the hotel. You pull into a narrow alleyway and put on your hazard lights to unload, then you have to go park your car several streets away in a garage (unless you can find street parking-good luck with that!) It's about a 10 to 15 minute walk, not the five they tell you. The building itself is funky, old carpeting in hallways, with an ancient elevator. However the rooms are fine, clean. Dishes and glasses were left in the dishwasher, rather than put away in the cabinets. For our "partial" ocean view room (east of the stairway), you had to crane your neck around the corner to see a smidge of water. The windows faced other building windows. The rooftop lounge area does not look as nicely staged as this photo shows. Neighborhood is sketchy, lots of people hanging around, and can be noisy certain times of the day. Quiet in morning and at night for the most part. Would I stay here again? No.
Be the first to ReplyVenice Suites First Rate
My stay at Venice Suites was first rate. The beach location on the boardwalk with stunning views from my room is why I chose it. The moment I walked in, Addy and Christa and staff were welcoming, professional, helpful and kind, with many suggestions for restaurants and things to do. They were consistently present through out my stay asking me how I was doing and if I needed anything. My one bedroom suite had an amazing view and was beautifully prepared, bright and clean and functional. A great well furnished kitchen. I was solo and working with UCLA in Westwood. Rather than staying in the expensive hotels near UCLA, I decided to try a less expensive hotel in Venice and enjoy the beach, swimming and boardwalk. My commute was approximately 20 minutes and my Lyft ride about $25. It worked well and I would recommend others working with UCLA to consider this option. I will return with my family soon. Bob B
