I LOVE Italian food! Parmesan Peteโs was highly recommended to us, and I was eager to eat there. Unfortunately, it was an expensive disappointment for me. I donโt eat meat or pork, but I love pasta. I was looking forward to the puttanesca, but the restaurant didnโt offer it. So, I got the linguini with clam sauce. t noticed that it wasnโt called spagetti alle vongole at Peteโs, which should have been a warning sign. The meal was certainly fulsome; it must have weighed quite a bit more than a pound, but it was probably the worst vongole Iโd ever had. The clams werenโt in their shells, and they struck me as having come out of a can. The meal was virtually tasteless. My wife, who was enjoying her veal Parmesan very much โ one of the meats I donโt eatโ tasted my spaghetti and had the same opinion of it as I. So, I complained about how tasteless it was and the waiter said, โLet me get you a new one,โ which seemed like a fair offer. He brought the dish back in a few minutes, and the only change I could see was that it was hotter and maybe had some additional pepper. The capper came with the bill when I learned that my single, relatively small pour of La Cremaโs Pinot noir cast $17. I usually drink La Cremaโs Chardonnay, but I like having a glass of red when eating out at an Italian restaurant. Having the Pinot reminded me that one has to be careful with reds if you donโt usually drink them. Plus, you can buy a bottle of the wine for less than this place charged me for a glass. We got a box and I brought home about a pound of the uneaten spaghetti. Iโll throw it out later today.

Love this restaurant, but my husband ordered the avocado and shrimp salad for lunch. $18 for avocado and 2, yes 2 shrimp and a bunch of lettuce. Maybe reconsider that order.
Be the first to ReplyParker says "Real authentic NYC style Italian food in Naples, FL. Who knew?"
Great little spot in a strip mall shopping center in Naples. Very small, so plan accordingly. Service was excellent as was the food and the atmosphere. Brings back memories of NYC. The eggplant parmigiana sandwich was great, but it was not traditional breaded eggplant. Rather, it was nicely sautรฉed, not breaded, but with the skin on (no, the skin was not tough, which means they used fresh eggplant). They give you a little gravy boat of extra sauce, which was a bit on the bitter side, but made with great quality tomatoes. Sides were eclectic and excellent. I had the cucumber, chi chi bean and red onion salad, which could have used a bit more dressing, but was excellent nevertheless. Gnocchi with pesto was outstanding. The menu is diverse, so there's something for everyone. Check it out.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food with large servings. Good service. You can't go wrong here.
The 3 of us had dinner last night. Very busy, reservation was necessary. Seated right away courteously. Good efficient waiter and kitchen. We all enjoyed our entrees with Chianti: Linguine Fra Diavolo with shrimp, Fusili, and chicken parmesan. All large servings with some to take home. Only flaw was chick parmesan was a little light on the pasta. They have a great authentic dessert menu in which we all partook plus espresso and cappuccino. A little noisy inside, but it gives you a family holiday touch. Will definitely be going back!

Good food and service. Shocked the chicken parm comes with extremely small portion of pasta. Even the waitress says itโs small, โbut you can order a side.โ For $22 you shouldnโt have to order a side. Lots of similar examples with other dishes that donโt come with any pasta, โbut you can order a side.โ

Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking and a few outside tables. Small restaurant with closely spaced tables as it is usually very busy and tables are in demand. It can get loud. A small bar area with seating for about 8-10. Beer and wine only. All staff that we encountered were smiling and pleasant and happy we were there even though they were super busy and probably would have welcomed a break. In Season I highly recommend a reservation. Our server Kristin (sp?) was great! Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The salads, beet/goat and wedge, were a good size and very fresh. The artichokes were tasty and the carpaccio was good, not great. The scallops and pasta dish was fresh and creamy and delicious. The pork osso buco was so very yummy. Large serving but I couldn't stop. The sauce was loaded with flavor. (Don't let the marsala run you off. I don't care for marsala and I could not detect it here.) Another fish dish was ordered and my friend said it was super. The tartufo was good for sharing. I certainly will return!

2nd time there this visit. Everything was wonderful. Manny was our waiter on both ocassions, he was great and on top of it food was top notch and we always bring home food the portions they are so large. Would highly recommend. I would say definitely have a reservation.
Be the first to ReplyDonโt waste your money!
Donโt waste your money, there are to many great places to eat in Naples. We ordered the mussels appetizer and my husband got sick on the 1st one. Literally had to run out of the restaurant. I mentioned to our waitress that something was wrong she called the manager over who apologized but offered no discount and proceeded to hand me the bill. Our waitress also seemed to have an attitude. I paid the bill but will not recommend this restaurant or return here. ๐
Be the first to ReplySmall space with HUGE portions!
Letโs just say, weโll be driving the 19 miles for Italian at least once a month! This is a small, mom & pop owned restaurant with minimal seating and yes, I suggest reservations! Brain our server was friendly, witty and extremely patient with us. Fresh bread and water delivered, we settled on a starter of the charcuterie board and a nice glass of Pinot Noir. This board was not only beautifully displayed but everything was so tasty. The fig jam was wonderful and the olives, outstanding. Dinner proved to be just as good. My husband had the Chicken Paillard; tender chicken breast pounded but not dry. And the arugula topping was crisp and not soggy. HUGE and 1/2 came home with us! I had the Cavatelli & Sausage; olive oil, kale, tomatoes and garlic. So light and tasty, perfect for summer. This was also HUGE and 1/2 came home! We opted for no dessert but on our next trip it will be a must! This is a lively setting and many locals. If you prefer outdoor seating, they have about 6 tables under shade and lovely service.

I would like to recommend that you make a reservation if you want to have dinner at this restaurant without a wait. It is a popular place. We arrived for our reservation at 5 pm and the place was already very busy. They do have a nice eating area outside with heaters. It was not a very nice night, but it seems like all of the patrons who ate outside, were happy. My husband is Italian and he grew up with authentic Italian food. He found the food to be delicious and creative. He especially liked the hot cherry peppers in his entree. I had the pasta and clams. That was excellent as well. The bread was good and they had two dishes for dipping the bread. One was oil with olive flavoring and the other was โgravyโ or what most people call sauce. We also enjoyed a Caesar salad. The service was very good and our waiter was very attentive and efficient. The prices were okay and well worth the prices considering what we received., We will definitely return to this wonderful place!
Be the first to ReplyParmesan Pete is no Italian
Went for a family dinner. Our first clue at how bad the meal would be was the complimentary bread. It looked delicious but was like eating air. Flavorless We should have left but at least we decided to order less. One person in our party got the broccolini and sausage It was big chunks of sausage in so much broth it could have been mistaken for soup. Everyone in our party had eaten this before at many restaurants in NYC and Northern NJ. Never ever prepared this way and very bland. I got the Fettuccine carbonara. Sauce was very thin and just awful We cut our losses and didnโt order dessert. So many better restaurants in Naples. Save your money Go elsewhere.

Moved to Naples fulltime in October from Massapequa, NY. We heard that PP had the best Italian food with the largest portions in Naples. I read the reviews and they were all amazing. I had Ossobuco with fresh Gnocchi. Delicious!! My wife had the filet medallions which was also delicious. Food great, large portions and great prices. Go check it out Kari & Janice

Be the first to ReplyMet wife for lunch, it was a hit!!!
Great lunch, nice salad, tortellini Pete was excellent, wife had the manicotti. Service was great, place is well kept. Not many seats, which makes it perfect, quaint, and relaxing. Wine was good, and the meal was perfectly prepared.
Be the first to ReplyConsistently good
As a local this is one of the good ones. Service was excellent Food was good. A quaint place. Not too big. Outdoor dining available
Be the first to ReplyOK/Good
Takeout. Pasta al la Pete as well as another dish which was Rigatoni and Broccoli Rabe. Good, but not very different from any decent pizza parlor in the Northeast. Maybe something to rave about when eating in person?
Be the first to ReplyCasual dining; excellent service and food
We arrived at 4:35and our server offered us the early bird special, two entrees under $21, two dinner salads and a bottle of wine for $50. Libbie, our server, recommended the Chicken Gianbotto, which I ordered and my husband had chicken parmigiana. The giambotta was delicious, as was the chicken parm. The salads were fresh and the dressing was house made and delicious. Libbie was lovely and charming and provided excellent service. Weโll definitely return! Our first visit to Parmesan Peteโs, definitely not our last.
Be the first to ReplyCould Have A More Flexible Menu Policy
We recently dined there during dinner - 2 couples. Matt, our server was attentive. We all ordered Chicken Parmigiana . I requested a Chicken and eggplant combination plate and was told by Matt it wasnโt available. Ok, unusual for an Italian restaurant but not a problem. The ladies ordered penne pasta; the men ordered linguine. All 4 meals came with penne. Strike 2. Weโre not pasta snobs and rather than delaying our meals further we ate it. The outdoor dining area was nice, the parmigiana was tender, the sauce was good but we thought the the experience didnโt quite live up to the hype.

My wife and I have wanted to try this place for a long time. This will be our go to for Italian definitely want to sit outside also. We had beef carpaccio to start which was excellent followed by Linguine with a white clam sauce normally I would do red but Manny the server highly recommended it. It was incredible with a generous portion and loaded with clams
My wife had the largest piece of Chicken Parmigiana I have ever see it was so tender and excellent probably the best we have ever had.
We then had caramel gelato which had some fruit and chocolate chips a great way to finish our meal.
If you have never been here before you are missing out
Inexcusable Treatment
I made my reservation for a party of five over two weeks ago over the phone. Could only get an early reservation so I took 5:30. Arrived on time and was shown to a table. It had two chairs on one side and booth back on the other. I asked the woman seating us "Our reservation is for five, right?" and she said yes, this table will seat five. Well we gave it a shot but no way were three adults going to fit on a booth back meant for two, and the table wasn't big enough to have three place settings there. Our waitress came over and I told her we five would not fit at a table for four, and I pointed to a nearby table larger than ours that had only four people as it should have been. She said they used the table assigned to us as seating for 5. I asked to slide the adjoining empty table for two over to ours and she said she'd check. She came back and told us the table for two already was assigned a reservation. I asked her about speaking to the manager and she said the woman she had checked with was the owner.
SO, we walked out. I appreciate they are busy and good for them after covid. But don't treat customers bad now that things are hopping. The table was obviously for four and they had to know that. I live here year round and support restaurants in the slow summer season. The owner didn't even have the courtesy to come over and apologize. If they can't handle busy, then they need to regroup.
And yes it is VERY loud in there.
Good food but loud place with a long wait
Food was good, service was excellent but the place was crammed with tables and very loud. Highly recommend reservations to avoid an hour long wait.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious meal!!
We stopped in on a Friday evening for dinner. The place was packed so we asked to sit at the bar. We were early as we hadnโt eaten much today. We had the early bird cash special (for 2 $50)which included a bottle of wine, a salad and entree $21 or less for 2! What a deal!! We had a bottle of house cab, a salad and my husband had the chicken Parmesan and had angel hair pasta, house gravy and a meatball! Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!!
Be the first to ReplyFor florida it was good, rating to a true old fashioned Italian restaurant, no comparison.
Average Italian food, very salty & low on flavor. Chicken porcini was ok but mushrooms were not fresh & vibrant. Tasted like sauce was made last month & buried in the freezer till ten minutes before they served it. Restaurant is cramped & noisy
Be the first to ReplyOk Italian but reasonable pricing
The fish dishes were ok but they really smelled fishy . The Chicken with hot peppers was better , but not outstanding . It is a popular place so I wouldnโt go by my review . It just didnโt hit the 4 of us well for the reasons listed
