We dined at the window for the prix fixe menu.
We loved all the food and loved the view. We'd especially call out William who, as our waiter, apprised us in detail of all the food options. My wife love her scallops appetizer and her lobster dinner, which was very creatively presented. As a side, one of the claws was chopped and prepared as one would expect in a lobster roll. Delicious. She absolutely love "The Egg", which was her dessert option. William and the rest of the staff were very attentive to our every need. We felt very welcomed by the Peak team. This visit was a gift from our children in honor of our 37th anniversary. William made our celebration even more special with complimentary sushi and delicious cake at the end of the meal. Being able to access the Edge at sundown topped off a fabulous visit.
Be the first to ReplyHad a nice experience to have dinner at this place .
Food and service just good as expected . Recommended for sure !

Saturday 2pm Part 3- I've tried dinner and lounge seating and figured third times a charm . I came to take a friend here for a bday lunch. We had the 2 course tasting menu. It certainly didn't disappoint! We shared the bread and chicken liver mousse for a group starter. I had the hamachi and the steak . My friend had the rigatoni ( which turned out ti be spicy and she wasn't told but it worked to her advantage as we ended up switching , I enjoyed the pork and spicy kick while she ate the hamachi , equally as delicious , next time though want whole serving of hamachi for myself ). We also swapped mains , she liked my steak and I had her trout ( a tad overdone for my taste ). I also got to try my other friend's burger ( good and again a bit overdone, the french fries were nice and crispy ). My other friend enjoyed her tuna . Overall, we enjoyed our dishes , love friends who don't mind sharing food ( and don't have loads of dietary restrictions). Only the bday celebrant ordered a desert that we shared ( they had a complimentary one ) and she got the crunchy toast ( highly recommended by my friends , I never go to try it ). While I love all of my 3 experiences , I prefer the evening experience and the dinner menu selection. Great experience , value as you get to also go to the peak to snap some memorable nyc photos ! Service was good and the setting was perfect especially on a nice sunny day to enjoy the beautiful Manhattan view .
Be the first to ReplyDinner at Peak was definitely an experience.
The ambiance is absolutely amazing, 360° views of nyc from the top of a skyscraper! Service was very attentive, though our server was a bit odd and kinda forced us to order many dishes we wouldn't have. If we didn't order something he recommended, he seemed annoyed and just walked away. Out of all the dishes we ordered, the only thing we really liked was the rolls, they were super delicious. Everything else tho, was not good. We started with a few dishes to share. The pasta was hard and barely any sauce, tasted weird. The carrots were cold and hard and also didn't taste good. The potatoes had a strong mustard flavor and, again, were not good. For the mains we got the steak, lobster tail, sweet potato, and chicken. None of it was impressive, the sides with the steak were bad and there was no flavor to the dish. It was a cool experience, but the food was not good and our server wasn't the best.
Be the first to ReplyFood was good, service could be better.
Would only really go for the view since there are restaurants with better food in the surrounding area. Make sure you check the weather beforehand as visibility might not be the best on some days/nights.

Beautiful views, pretty good cocktails - a little touristy and overpriced. I felt the service was okay, but they were swamped when I went, so that's to be expected.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a great big brunch at Peak.
Seated by the window, we enjoyed good sunlight, a spectacular view, and the food was good. Missing one star due to a rude waitress. I'm a regular but it was my first time encountering her. For no reasons, she was aggressive towards me until my friends intervened. Despite this, I still left a generous tip for the other waiters who took good care of us.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food.
Gorgeous view, especially if you get window table. Friendly staff. Speedy service. Menu changes often but... Excellent - rigatoni (app), roasted chicken (main), cheesecake (dessert) Very good Hiramasa (app), trout (main), yuzu meringue (dessert) I thought the process to bring you up from the 5th floor to restaurant floor was a bit cheesy and pretentious. but some may enjoy it
Be the first to ReplyA modern Rainbow Room.
Amazing views of the city (and access to the Edge right before your reservation time). We came for my daughter's classmate's 10th birthday party. The kids ate happily and the waiters accommodated them with patience and humor. We could easily hear one another to have a conversation. We had the prix fixe lunch. The kids had some desserts - some didn't like the cheesecake so my daughter ate three servings and gave herself a mild stomachache (but she was happy and seemed to think it was worth it).

WOW JUST WOW! My boyfriend surprised me with reservations to this lovely place. He knows i love love love sunsets! So he made reservations so that we can watch it together. The view is just out of this world! Best view in NYC! The food is actually very good! Places with beautiful views often do not serve good food. But this place was so good, so much flavor in every single bite. The service was just as great! I believe everyone should experience this restaurant. It is worth every penny !
Be the first to ReplyNice restaurant.
Food is great, the view is Beautiful. We Will go back again with friends and family
Be the first to ReplyYou won't be disappointed.
The Location: Peak is located on the 101st floor of the Hudson Yards shopping mall. If you enter by the Vessel, you take the elevators at the left (past Cartier) to the 5th floor. From there, they'll escort you to the elevators up. If your early, they'll allow you to stop at the Edge. (You can visit the Edge before and after, which is complimentary if you spend above a certain amount.)The Views: When I booked, I put in my notes that I wanted a view and they did not disappoint. We got the corner table that looked out over the city and the Edge. It was perfect and did not disappoint. If the sun is out, it could get a little hot, but that's the only downside. The Staff: Everyone was incredibly pleasant and took the time to explain to us what was in each dish and drink, which was very helpful. They were also very conscious of my fish allergy and made a note to avoid cross contamination in the kitchen. The Food: The portions were perfect and very filling. The Milk Bread was unforgettably delicious, so much so that we're going to try to remake it at home. My BF and I both had the NY Steak, which was cooked perfectly. (They may have gotten the temperatures backwards for us, but it wasn't a big deal. We still ate every bite!) The cheeses and carrot cake are to die for, and topped off the meal nicely. **Get the wine pairing! It made each of our dishes that much better. To Note: Make a reservation! (I did, and we were sat early.) When booking, it'll mention that depending on the time of day or if you pick the lounge vs dining room, there are different menus! Make sure you pay attention to that. (I heard another table come in and they were unaware it was a pre-fixed menu.)Highly recommend!

Service was great! Our server was attentive and very friendly.Food was overall mediocre. The filet mignon was overwhelming with this very salty sauce. The desserts were the best out of the three courses. I think this place is good to try once for the view (if you grab a table by the windows), but not worth repeat visits because there are so many places in NYC with much better food.
Be the first to ReplyEverything is delicious and it truly is an experience.
The view is amazing. A few things to note:You get immediate access to the edge, so don't buy a ticket Coat check is on the 5th floor so if you want to go outside in winter bring your coat with you. They will hold bags for you at coat check as well (we had to skip out to catch a train so this was a bonus!!)It's a fixed course menu and they charge $10 for bread and butter fyi

I recently visited Peak NYC and was blown away by the amazing views and exceptional service. We tried around six different dishes from the menu, and with the exception of the steak, everything was top-notch. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was both beautiful and appetizing.I must say, the Lumaconi was simply amazing! I can't forget the taste.Overall, I would highly recommend Peak NYC to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The menu never disappoints, and with such a welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable staff, you can't go wrong.

What an experience, though it was snowing very windy, no view 2 see, no problem, the food was just exactly how I wanted it, just the right portions, don't forget to order the bread, Filet Mignon. Definitely you will enjoy here.

Let' start by their service which was excellent, located on the 101st floor, give you the best view in town! We loved the food, starting with bread and butter, then for the appetizers we had the beef short rib and pasta with black truffle which was really good. As for the main dishes we had the halibut and filet mignonette, both cooked to perfection, we finished with the famous Egg which was aesthetically pleasing, but it tasted even better! And the deconstructed cheesecake was solid but not my favorite dish of the night.Overall one of the best restaurants I've been to.
Be the first to ReplyLoved the atmosphere and food.
No need to buy tickets to the Edge like we did. I wish we knew earlier when we booked the reservation through Open table

I wasn't sure what to expect at The Peak given some of the mixed reviews but decided to take my parents during their visit for a fun experience anyways. I was happy to find that the food was really good. We sat in the lounge rather than do the prix fixe lunch menu (prix fixe is required during lunch in sitting in the restaurant and dinner if at one of the window tables) and still had a great view. There are a couple of two tops that are right next to the window with some larger tables slightly set back but you'll get a good view from most spots in the lounge. We started with the milk bread which was good, I thought it could have been softer on the insider but since it was individual table sized there was a more equal crust to interior ratio than a full sized loaf. We had the steak tartare, the burger, the steelhead trout and the beans. The burger was my favorite dish. So juicy and flavorful and the "fries" were sort of like giant hash browns. (I think they used to do confit potato "fries" but that wasn't the case when I went) The trout was also a nice surprise, it was either slow roasted or poached, so it was cooked while retaining its bright pink color and moist, flakey texture. The Edge entrance is one floor down by glass staircase from The Peak and as we left the host invited us to check out The Edge which was a nice little cap off to the lunch. FYI - the menus do note that there is a minimum spend of $40/pp for access to The Edge. We did end up spending more than that on lunch so can't say if they are strict about enforcing that.

What an experience! My friend and I booked our reservations ahead of time so that we would not have to wait! The staff were extremely warm, friendly, attentive and catered to all our needs. They were very knowledgeable with their menu and made excellent recommendations. For our lunch, we were seated near the window and had a beautiful view of the skyline. We were given the pre-fixed menu options which was delightful. I ordered the kale, squash and ricotta salad and the tuna and broccoli dish for my two item selections. The salad was SUPERB and flavorful. I LOVED it so much. The tuna and broccoli was amazing, i didn't care for the beans that came with it though.I loved that with a reservation, you get access to the EDGE (an observatory deck that oversees the Manhattan skyline). Extremely worth the dining experience to be able to get a view of the EDGE! I would definitely come back again to this establishment not only for the amazing food but also for the experience at the Edge! Thank you so much PEAK staff for being my time here worthwhile!
Be the first to ReplyWould highly recommend.
Service is impeccable, great spot to bring visiting family/friends. The Burger served during lunch is amazing. Best views of nyc hands down
Be the first to ReplyTourist trap? Nope.
Surprisingly delicious food. I totally walked in thinking oh my, just for the views, but the chicken was moist. The coffee was super piping hot. The steak was one of the best in the city.Free sparkling water too! With some of the best views in NYC. No doubt I would come back for a drink or meal. Going to "The Edge," after was also a nice perk.

You will need to make reservations ahead of time to dine at Peak. The best part is dining here gives you complimentary access to the edge. The views are breathtaking here. If you are seated not near a window you can ask for a window seat and they place you on a waitlist. That's what happened to us and they seamlessly moved us over before our appetizers came. For the upscale nature of this restaurant the food wasn't that "wow" and I'd only ever come back here for drinks. Which is disappointing. The oysters were my favorite and very fresh. The steak was decent but I've had a way better. The lobster portion was extremely small and it was very rubbery. The staff here are friendly but again the food wasn't that high quality like we were expecting.
Be the first to Reply5 stars for the view.
The chopped salad was AMAZING. The staff were a little stuffy, not very warm when it come to dining with children. Lol.. they had a high chair yes they have crayons and a menu to color on, yes.. but the warmth is just not there. Also, if you order the butter noodles.. they are green spinach rigatoni noodles. It does not say anywhere that they are spinach noodles on the menu. I ordered the halibut, i can't even describe the flavor. I have never sent a plate back, but it was the worst dish I had ever had in my life. It tasted like I was eating plastic. I don't know if the fish was old or something I can't even tell you. I was so glad I had ordered that salad as an appetizer! MIL had the lobster and said it was great, husband ordered pork chop and barely touched it.

Unforgettable experience from the very beginning, thanks Anthony! Bread, appetizers, entrees, dessert, drinks, views of Empire State Building, 10 stars please.
