Disappointing
Beautiful building and surroundings but lunch was a let down. My fish and chips looked nothing like the photo on their website! Fish was small and dense, no lovely fresh crispy batter and tasted like cheap fish not cod or haddock. It came with skin on skinny fries not the chunky chips it was supposed to come with, my granddaughters children’s meal was a dry looking piece of chicken and a tablespoon of mash even though we’d asked for fries instead and the broccoli was missing altogether. My glass of Prosecco was only three quarters full and at £9 was a rip off! There were only 4 dishes in the Mains section, the smallest pub menu we had ever seen so you would think they would be able to do them perfectly! I would only return in warm weather to have a drink in the lovely garden area!

Curate’s egg of an experience. Really good and tasty food at a relatively modest price. Friendly and attentive service. However the restaurant was very empty and it is sprawling so has no atmosphere at all. And though it’s a joy to dine with friends and actually be able hear one another, it is rather sad that such effort be made with the food but so little done to make it a warm and inviting environment.
Be the first to ReplySteak for brunch - yes please
We came for Saturday brunch and really enjoyed chilli calamari and steak and chips. The venue is very nicely designed and the service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely return to sample the regular menu - as I don’t eat eggs, brunches often hold limited options for me. I will also recommend to my work colleague who deals with corporate entertainment as there a number of spaces in the venue for private events,
Be the first to ReplyPERFECT place for private events
Organised event (wedding reception) in one of the private rooms and I could not be happier with how it all turned out. The room was beautiful, the food great, and I love the atmosphere there. But really when you are organising a private event what you need in my opinion is the support from the venue whilst discussing the details before the event itself, and what I got at the Arber Garden was simply outstanding. Egle from the event organisation team has been incredible professional, helpful and responsive form the very first time we spoke throughout the whole organisation. He just made the whole organisation so easy. Helped with any request, and came up with great suggestions all the time. Everything went as planned on the day, and the staff on the night of the event was extremely attentive, professional, and very friendly. If you want to arrange a private event stress-free do go to the Arber Garden, I cannnot praise them enough.
Be the first to ReplyThe arber garden
Went to the Arber Garden for a Sunday roast It took a while to order a drink then ordered 2 roast chicken which came within 2 minutes but was so tough could not get a knife in it. Complained and ordered Steak for my husband but when it came it was roast beef Complained again and they said Steak was not on the menu which it definitely was. My husband had the roast beef rather than wait again for a meal. His meal was taken off the bill but when I paid the bill my meal was still charged . One of the maitre'd came over to say she would put a note on the booking to treat us to something better next time which would be very hard as we were a walk in !! Will not be returning which is a pity as it is local .
Be the first to ReplyWonderful.... BUT...
The food and service in the separate dinning room was wonderful, couldn't fault it. The big BUT was after our meal when we were in the bar area. We went to the bar, ordered and collected our drinks and took them back to our seats. It was only then that I looked at the receipt that I noticed a service charge had been added. I questioned this with the staff and they said it is there policy to add service charge. I understand that there is a service charge often applied when eating but just for drinks at the bar with no service needed I think is totally unacceptable. They did refund my service charge. Please BE AWARE when just having drinks,

My go to place for a English roast! Absolutely divine, and the quality is always consistent. Would most certainly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service, great food
Came as a group of 4 friends for dinner on Wednesday. Two of us came early for drinks which wasn’t an issue and we were promptly seated to our outdoor table which was lovely. Oliver was our waiter who couldn’t do enough for us. He was very efficient and friendly and really seemed to enjoy his role. It looked as though Oliver was training others on the job as he went and definitely had it all under control! All the food we had was lovely but definitely save space for dessert as they were delicious. Cocktail menu also really good and plenty choice. Lovely spot to sit outside and will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely evening!

I visited her last night with a number of work colleagues. We had a private room due to the size of the party. It was very hot and the air conditioning had broken, but these things happen! The bubbles were flowing whilst we arrived. The food was absolutely amazing. We had a set menu which offered a good choice. The staff were super friendly and very attentive. Worthy of a 5 star review

Basically your typical pub menu, but the chefs really care about everything they put on your plate. Everything is done really really well. I was impressed.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food, beautiful restaurant
This is our first visit. I was really impressed by the restaurant setting from the outside to the inside and even the toilet! It’s simply beautiful throughout. The taps in the toilet is a nice design and the hand soap is moisturising with nice scent. I think if the owners pays attention to the toilet, they must have paid more attention to the food hygiene and kitchen! We had two flatbreads with sausages and crabs. They taste delicious. I had halibut and my husband and son had burgers. My halibut is the best seafood I’ve had! It’s crispy on the outside and tender and juicy inside. The tender broccoli were cooked just right as well. Overall it was very well presented and I really enjoyed it. The reason I gave 4 star is that the dessert let it down. It took long time well over 10 minutes to deliver our desert which is ice cream and lemon chiffon cake. The cake is just an average chiffon cake with very mild hint of lavender. It was presented beautifully but the taste is very average and I won’t order it again. The restaurant has a separate room and bar area for private function which would be great for small private parties. Overall I really enjoyed this restaurant. If the customer service could be more efficient, I would give a top mark!
Be the first to ReplyPerfect Venue for a Wedding Reception
Our daughter recently married in the beautiful Fitzrovia Chapel next door and we hired the whole restaurant for the entire wedding reception. It was so convenient to walk just next door!
The whole event was superbly organised by the pleasant and accommodating staff who couldn't have been more helpful. They also made good provision for babies and children in the group. Nothing was too much trouble. Cannot praise them enough!
Many guests commented on both the excellent service and food. We highly recommend Percy and Founders and shall certainly revisit for a meal when next up in London.
Vincent The Gentleman
Popped into Percy & Flounders for a business lunch with a real heavy lifter. Bit of ‘opportunity boomerang’, and side of ‘focus-fries’! Served the finest Beef Jerky and Rock Oyster combo from Vincent, whose hospitality matched the standard of the food. Would highly recommend this and him.

Our party of 6 enjoyed the starters and mains - too full to indulge in dessert
The ambience was great - lots of buzz, and it was midweek
Nick was an amazing server; friendly, professional and with a big smile
Well done all

You can't sit where you want ,even though you are the only customer!
Last time I came here , everything was fantastic, this time the woman at the front desk was not a people person, she said if you sit here , we may want this table back for lunchtime , this was at 11 am! The food was burnt, but the manager was lovely and dealt with it in a good way. I wouldn't hurry back here .

A pretty cool spot with a nice crowd. Breakfast was really good. Also went to a function downstairs which was reasonable food for such a large crowd on the mouth of Christmas.
Be the first to ReplyVery enjoyable lunch!
We visited here for lunch with our two children and both the food and service were faultless. We had starters, mains and desserts and all were lovely with a great buzz in the restaurant. The food was of great quality and we were particularly impressed with the Josper chicken main. The service was attentive and friendly. Our table also had the perfect view of the adjoining church! Thank you for a very enjoyable lunch.

Met a friend in London for brunch & was very impressed with the whole experience. Liked the relaxed feel of the place, service second to none, food excellent & all the staff that served use were pleasant, professional & I totally enjoyed the Full English Breakfast very much, highly recommended
Be the first to ReplyPoor food and no atmosphere
Over cooked food and over priced. The venue has no atmosphere more akin to dining in an airport lounge than a restaurant.
