Have not eaten here in months, it was time.
Last minute decision for lunch. Good choice! Server was good. I had slider trio, husband had cubano sandwich. Very good food, only minor complaint was that the fries seemed a bit overdone but still tasty. Hope to come back soon!
Be the first to ReplyNoisy Place to try and enjoy dinner
Went for dinner based on some reviews and had to make a reservation, a very popular place. We were early and sat at the bar and had the black and bleu flatbread. Unfortunately it was difficult to find the blacked steak that was listed a an ingredient, but it still was awesome. Two of us ordered from the seasonal menu and had the mango halibut. The fish, grits, and the mango salsa topping was great, unfortunately the vegetables were terrible - mushy and tasteless. The hickory smoked pork chops was very tasty.
The high patron noise level made it difficult to carry on a comfortable conversation.
Eat here!
This place had very good food and excellent service. We chose it because there was really good variety on the menu and it was not overpriced. The drinks and appetizers were awesome!

Came here b/c of TA reviews. It was OKAY. Service was very good. Drinks were good. Chicken strip appetizer...very good. Entree's...NOT good. All in all...I think it was marginal. I would not come back though.

Haven’t eaten here in years. Our loss. It was still fabulous. Full house on a Saturday night. Food and drinks were well done. Very tasty. The service was excellent.
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I have driven 30+ miles hundreds of times over 23 years to dine here and have never been disappointed!
We have tried almost everything on their menu and we have favorites: walleye almondine, pork chops, chicken strips, steaks, waffles, wild mushroom bisque, but everytime we try something new or on their seasonal menus we enjoy a new favorite. Outstanding items on their menu; 55 salad with house dressing, mixed vegetables(what other restaurant gets rave reviews of their mixed vegetables), and they have the absolute best iced tea( my wife is an iced tea snob). The servers are friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. Ask for Erin, Jacob, or Danielle and they will keep your drinks filled, lift your spirits with a friendly personality, and make you feel that you are very special and want to see you again soon.

The food and service were top notch. We ordered the large berry salad, which was really good, as well as a bowl of the mushroom soup, which was very rich. We split a strip steak, and has plenty of food to take home. Get the mushrooms and onions on the side of your steak! They come in a wonderfully rich sauce. The service was awesome too.

Outstanding food, drinks & service. My wife and I both had the Blackened Chicken Fettucine Carbonara. Excellent! My son’s burger was huge, juicy & well-cooked and served with an ample portion of extra crispy fries. And my daughter-in-law’s prime rib sandwich was tender, juicy and delicious! Service was friendly, very attentive and efficient.

We were staying near the restaurant on our trip to Columbus and the menu looked interesting so we decided to go here for dinner. It was a good choice. We went early on a Friday night and even then, there was a good number of people. The menu was extensive with selection of seafood, meat and seasonal specials. We both went with seasonal specials of salmon and pork chops. I asked for my salmon to be well done and I did have to send it back but our waitress was right on top of it and the second time it was done to my request. The pork chops were very juicy and we were surprised that there were 2. The wine list was small but adequate. We thought the restaurant provided good value. Also even when it got busy it was still very conversation friendly. We would go back on our next trip to the area.

Lunch time was approaching as we travelled through the last leg of our trip, and I wanted someplace that isn't a chain. Google Maps provided this spot, and it was delightful.
We were seated promptly in their generously sized dining room. Instantly a server appeared and asked for drink orders--which I had to postpone because I like to read the menu first and figure out whqt drink goes with my food. Minutes later, I was asked again by a server who was, I think, being trained by another who was following him around. So credit for attentive service.
So eventually I settled on a crispy calimari appetizer and a bowl of their Aztek chowder--paired with a LaBatt's Blue My wife got their walleye sandwich. Her plate wound up being quite generous, piled his with fries (I tried one--a little soft) The calimari was lightly sauced with a sweet-sour and there was a dipping sauce similar to tartar that made them tastier--a teeny bit overdone like calimari is so often--and if you get it, I recommend finishing fast before it cools. Warning--there are jalapeno slices hiding amoung the rings..Aztek chowder was good, but the Azteks didn't have chickens or potatoes which were the main ingredient--the large trotillla chip that comes on top is best cracked into croutons and added to the bowl.
So inconclusion, here we have a comfortable restaurant with a menu that ranges from routine to inventive, servers who get trained, and prices that match. I'm remembering this spot for future travel lunches.
