My husband and I had the most wonderful evening on the lovely patio at Porzana. Our server was wonderful and attentive and was great at making recommendations. Everything we got was absolutely delicious. We were so lucky to have such a beautiful evening out on their quaint and cozy patio. All of the portions were a good size and full of incredible flavor from appetizers to entrée to dessert. The cocktails were exceptional as well. We will definitely be back and can't wait!

Came here for an anniversary dinner! I cannot believe it's taken me so long to try this place. The service, food, drinks, and vibe were all great. The restaurant is cool - very atmospheric, dark, intimate. We sat outside on the patio on a chilly September night but with the lights, heaters, and blankets it was completely cozy and comfortable, even in a nice dress without a jacket. I was glad to be on the quieter patio, it was much more intimate than inside, where it was pretty loud. For drinks among the two of us, we got the mango mango mango (which might be a summer item) the penicillin, a sauv blanc, and a rice lager - all delicious! We got two apps - empanadas and the mussels. The mussels were amazing, and much more food than I was expecting. I love mussels, and have never had them in this type of tomato-based broth before. The empanadas were good but didn't leave as much of an impression on me as the mussels. For entrees, we got the domestic wagyu with spicy chimichurri and the grilled salmon, both were outstanding. We also got a side of tallow fries, which were very crispy and had a great flavor. We ended up taking some food home - we had assumed the portions would be smaller given it was a more upscale restaurant. The courses came out a little too fast in my opinion, but maybe we also just had too much food. Overall, couldn't recommend this place more!!

I was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar (this place is packed for a reason!) and had no idea what to expect. From the second I sat down, I was blown away. The service was incredible!!! Food came out lightning fast, everyone I interacted with was genuinely kind and friendly, and my waitress Zoey was the absolute best. She made the whole experience feel welcoming. The food? Next-level. The tuna crudo and empanadas were spot on, and then came a martini twist I'll never forget: a vodka martini with chimichurri instead of olive brine. Genius. And dessert sealed the deal: the honey lavender gelato with honeycomb. Hands down the best ice cream I've ever had (and I LOVE ice cream). Creamy, floral, crunchy .... just perfect. This spot is a gem. Fantastic food, creative drinks, and some of the warmest service I've experienced anywhere. Can't wait to come back. (Might be tomorrow for the steak!)
We hit up Porzana for my husband's 40th birthday.
The entire staff immediately made us feel welcome. Our server, Travis, provided impeccable recommendations on cocktails, wine, and food. I originally booked a table on the patio, but, due to the rain, we were moved into the group dining room upstairs. It was warm, inviting, and my husband and I were seated next to a window so we could people watch, which was fun. Travis brought out complimentary champagne for my husband's birthday, which was delicious. I started with the Rita, In Doses cocktail, which I found light and refreshing. My husband ordered a bespoke martini which was just okay. Stick to the specialty cocktails because they are delish. We kicked off the meal with burrata, loaded oysters and the caviar bunuelo. The bunuelo was incredible. It tasted like a mild lick of the ocean and then the umami seafood flavor really opened up with a sip of champagne. The loaded oysters were good. Very heavy on the cumin. The burrata was delish with a balance of savory and sweet. Our next course was Caesar salad, miso marinated rib eye, and pommes puree. The Caesar salad was delicious. Perfect blend of crispy and savory. The fried oysters almost made me feel like I was back at the state fair. The miso marinated rib eye was so yummy! We got the spicy chimichurri to go with it, but I didn't use it. Cooked medium rate, the steak was tender and savory. I didn't like the spicy chimichurri, it seemed like it over powered the seasoning on the steak. The pommes puree with gravy were also delicious. They puree garlic confit into the potatoes and the gravy is divine. For dessert we ordered the lavender ricotta gelato and carrot cake. The gelato was incredible! It was about the size of a softball and creamy with complex flavors that weren't too sweet. I wasn't a fan of the carrot cake. I thought it tasted more like a spice cake and the combination of cream cheese and mango puree didn't do it for me. When I let Travis know that we didn't like the carrot cake he was nice enough to take it off of our bill even though that was not my intention! And onto Travis. The best server we've had in a long time. His recommendations were on point. His timing impeccable. He gave me the ultimate compliment of asking if I'm a foodie. Haha, he got a nice tip for that one!

First time at Porzana I loved the rustic floorboards and dim lighting, it felt cozy and intimate! I read reviews before going, and I do strongly agree that parking is the biggest struggle. And yes, make a reservation just to be safe. Food was incredible! We came for my boyfriend's birthday and got the complimentary champagne. Ordered the beef tartare (very fresh and full of flavor) and Caesar (extremely lemony) both 9/10! The steak we got was the Gorgonzola striploin and honestly... this was the best steak I've ever had. 10/10. Packed with flavor I've never tried before, the price means something. The corn pasta was also delicious, I'd highly recommend! I do believe Porzana lives up to the hype they get, overpriced? Yes. But this is a twist between Bar La Grassa, Martina, and a Steakhouse. I'm very happy I tried this place, I'll be back to celebrate another bday :)

this place was so good! I came with a large group for brunch after making a reservation. the staff was super helpful and patient with our large group. they have a nice selection of cocktails and a full bar, and though I opted out of one, a few people in my group got espresso martinis and la Sirena which they all seemed to enjoy. For my meal, I had the Chorizo Puchero which has chorizo, a fried egg, grilled bread, and chickpeas with other veggies in a tomato based sauce. the dish was delicious! the bread was perfectly toasted and a perfect vehicle for the chickpea sauce and egg yolk. topped with the chorizo, it made for the perfect bit. I was worried this meal would feel heavy as it seemed hearty, but it filled me up without making feel sluggish which was super nice. for dessert, we shared the Berlinesa and the ice cream. both desserts were delicious. the Berlinesa was super fluffy and the dulce de leche filling was delightful. I can't recall exactly the flavor of the ice cream, but I do remember thinking that it was unique and creamy and I was very sad when it ended. others in the group agreed as well! Also, I don't usually comment on the bathrooms, but these were truly incredible. There were candles and dim lighting that made for such a relaxing, almost spa like experience. And everyone in our group who went, agreed! I feel like it says a lot about a restaurant if they put this much thought into just their bathroom. Overall a great and delicious experience here!
Top end establishment!
A high end Argentine steakhouse located in the middle of Minneapolis. I enjoyed the top end eats and the delicious wine. 10/10.

To start we had the burrata snack which was fun and fresh, along with the Caesar salad which has fried oysters on top and was a great add to a classic dish. For the main courses, the sweet corn Agnolotto was the star of the show it was so decadent, and the seared bass was the perfect light dish to eat with the it. Great atmosphere with fun brick and foliage. Although I'm not sure why so many restaurants want an exposed ceiling but some other places pull it off okay. Our server was very pleasant and sweet, made a great macchiato.
Great staff and lovely environment.
The meat leans a bit salty but the drinks were well done.

i was excited for the steak but actually found i enjoyed the appetizers / potatoes more than i did the steak. Steak was still excellent though, just really good food!! Good service and ambiance.
Every compliment I can think of.
OH, listen to your sever and ask your server. Be ready to Order two dinners cause one won't work when you see the menu
That’s A Lot Of Moolah Mister!
We had another great meal at Porzana sitting at their eclectic bar. Saturday night is always a beautiful people scene at Porzana, and the Botox can be overwhelming. However, we’re too old and shabby for people to converse with us, and so we remain content knowing we’re more interesting. Most restaurant bars in Minneapolis are more down to Earth. Michael, the quintessential bar man, and the effervescent Zoe, were our servers and guiding lights for this evening. For appetizers, the empanadas took first place, while the Pa amb Tomaquet was a close second. Our entrees at Porzana are always the wildly expensive Gorgonzola Striploin at $80 for 14 ozs. Delicious, but it’s like swallowing a working person’s paycheck. It makes me guilty, and so I must reserve this for once or twice a year. Although I love Porzana, our final bill with 3 cocktails, a glass of wine and tip came to over $400. That’s a lot of moolah Mister!
Exquisite dishes worth the expense
Great food, great atmosphere. Waiter downplayed the Argentinian cuts but I stuck to my guns and so glad I did! Picanha with chimichurri sauce was exquisite with Tallow fries. My son had the hanger and was equally impressed with the broccoli side. All in all I would say expensive but worth it!
Spectacular Food!
The food at Porzana is absolutely amazing. While the presentation is gorgeous, the food is unparalleled. The decor is very attractive as well-- right down to the plates. It does get a bit noisy. Be sure to have the burrata, tuna crudo and any of the desserts!
Absolutely delicious, skip the Picanha
Best oysters we've EVER had. Cesear salad was phenomenal. Lavendar Honey gelato dessert they gave for a birthday was incredible. My partner is from Brazil so we chose Porzana for the Picanha. We were pretty disappointed as they cut the fat cap off which is a big part of what makes Picanha authentic and different and how it is typically eaten in Brazil and Argentina. Still, would very happily go back but would skip the Picanha.
what a spectacular surprise!
Amazing dinner, salmon and vegetables were so good!!!!!!!!!! and the wine... spectacular! I went to Minneapolis for work and as italian.. was so worried about food BUT I really suggest Porzana! Also we lost our sunglasses and they were sooo nice to ship them back!! Excellent place, excellent atmosphere, excellent food!!!

Food was incredible, waiter was knowledgeable, service was slow - 3 hours. We also reserved the patio and got to our reservation 10 min early and they told us we'd have to wait 20-30 min to get seated upstairs without a prior heads up (frustrating). Great food but not sure we'd go back after the slow / and not informed experience!
Outdoor seating is cozy and relaxing.
Excellent dressed Oyesters, caviar, steak, wine selection. The service was good and they are open late!

Porzana is an absolute delight! The outdoor patio is a hidden oasis and the service was 5-star. The food-wow! I don't think you could choose wrong. The steaks were flavorful and perfectly cooked. Try as many sides as you can! I loved the honey carrots.
Service was great.
Food was just okay, not great as the price would suggest. Overpriced for what it was imho but probably worth a try if you are a meat lover.

Food was absolutely delicious and we didn't even eat a steak! Patio is a beautiful setting. Romantic. But we had our toddlers with us. Sorry if we killed anyone's vibe. Staff accommodated our childrens' desire for milk. Drink container questionable for a 21 month old but we made it work and understood we were not getting a plastic cup and straw for obvious reasons. They have high chairs! Excellent wine menu. We were the first to enter the restaurant for the evening and the staff lined the walk to our table. It was like being in France (which we love fine dining in France). I would absolutely return to this restaurant if in town again.
Visited Minneapolis from the Washington DC area and of all
Visited Minneapolis from the Washington DC area and of all the places we ate over a long weekend trip, Porzana was my favorite place to eat. Food was great, service was awesome, and the ambiance was a vibe (we sat on the patio). For food, I definitely recommend the natural oysters, tuna crudo, ribeye, and Caesar.
Yep, I think Porzana has become my favorite steakhouse in
Yep, I think Porzana has become my favorite steakhouse in the Twin Cities. Why? Their range. They have a range of cuts from $40 - $300. This is perfect for whatever mood you're in. You don't want to splurge too much? Choose a steak more on the $40-$60 side. Sure, the size may be smaller, but it's still a solid meal. Want to splurge? You can also choose their higher end steaks. They have great cocktails, the service is solid, and the place is super nice. You definitely can't go wrong here.
We returned to Porzana, but this time were compelled to
We returned to Porzana, but this time were compelled to dine at a table due to a full bar. With regret, we were led to a four top with a good view of the dining room. I was surprised to see a decidedly unfashionable room. Porzana is not attracting the hipsters from the North Loop, at least not on a Saturday night. Our regret at not finding a seat at the bar was wiped away by our server Nick. Some people are born with the ability to charm. Nick was amazing, understanding what we wanted, and he became a confidant while guiding us through our meal. With Nick's guidance we both ordered the Strip Steak aged in Gorgonzola. The steak was incredible and even my spouse, not a steak eater, was sighing with pleasure. Our sides of peas and whipped potatoes were sublime. Porzana's wine list is eclectic and interesting, but my cocktail was not Midwest strong. However, the gestalt of our dinner was fantastic. While the food tasted wonderful, Nick's personality turned our dinner into a cherished memory. To hell with sitting at the bar.
Porzana in Minneapolis completely has my heart for an ideal
Porzana in Minneapolis completely has my heart for an ideal date night. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by kind, attentive, and caring staff, making my experience extremely positive right from the start. The cocktails and food were nothing short of immaculate. I began my meal with the Chipas, a cheesy bread served with a spicy dip made from provolone and mojo picon. It was the perfect start to what would be an unforgettable dining experience. For my main course, I had the Prime Argentinian cuts steak called Entraña. This steak was incredibly juicy and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the chimichurri sauce. I ordered the steak medium, but the chef accidentally cooked it to medium well. Impressively, the staff noticed the error before I did and promptly offered me a second steak, cooked exactly as I had ordered. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction truly went above and beyond. To accompany my steak, I ordered a side of Papas Aplastadas, which featured crispy potatoes with beurre blanc, parmesan, bacon, and chives. Every bite was a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The highlight of my evening was the Torina cocktail, which included Peruvian agave, arbol, strawberry, lime, tepache, and prickly pear. It was refreshingly unique and paired wonderfully with my meal. The ambiance at Porzana is delightful, making it an ideal spot for a date night or any special occasion. The spacious interior added to the overall pleasant dining experience. I cannot recommend Porzana enough. Everyone needs to go here and experience the exceptional service, delicious food, and lovely atmosphere. This place is now my go-to for any special night out in Minneapolis.
Great steaks (Argentinian style) and amazing potatoes.
Good service and very nice building. Great dinner, highly recommend this place. Friendly staff.
Wow! The Steak!
Okay- we loved this place! Great ambiance as soon as we entered. I had wine & my friend had a spicy margarita and we shared the spicy scallop appetizer. Really good!! We decided to share the 6 oz Waygu sirloin & the Doppio Ravioli- wow! The steak melted in our mouths- we wished we had ordered our own steaks - so good! Such a good meal- will be thinking about this one until I return. Thank you!
Excellent steak house
The entire dining experience was excellent. The food was excellent and the server, Ryan was outstanding. We had drinks, empanadas, cedars salad, bread, steaks (filet) mushrooms, French fries and smash potatoes. We ended dinner with bread pudding and a chocolate dessert. We would order everything again. There were 6 of us and we will definitely go back.
All Around Excellent
Great service, wonderful wine list, outstanding food. For starters we enjoyed the Bluefin Tuna Crudo, also we had the empanadas. These were the best empanadas ever, not to be missed. For entrees my wife had the seared halibut, which was excellent. I throughly enjoyed an Argentinian prime Picanha, the best flavor steak, grilled to perfection. We also shared the Papas Aplastadas, which were also mouth watering, unfortunately we didn’t do justice to the mound of potatoes, maybe enough for six.
Lively restaurant with excellent food.
This is the place to be for authentic Argentinean steak. The restaurant features an exceptional staff that is quick to please and attentive to a diner's needs. Our server fully explained the menu and then went on to explain her favorites. The side orders are every bit as good as the main courses. We tried the specialty drinks and they did not disappoint. I suggest you make reservations two days in advance. It's popular and a fun place to eat.
An excellent original take on steak fine dining.
Quite possibly the hottest place in Minneapolis right now. Tough to get a reservation, definitely need to plan ahead. Met my friend for dinner and drinks here last night. We were seated upstairs in the smaller dining room. Still plenty lively and noisy. The restaurant was packed all night long. We were well taken care of by our server, Jeremy, who started us off with some nice cocktails. After a bit, we moved onto dinner. I had an Argentine cut of steak called Picanha which Jeremy said was similar to a New York. It was flavorful, tender, delicious… Perfectly cooked to a medium exactly as I like it. I also requested the au poivre sauce - amazing, spicy and very peppercorn forward. Perhaps even more amazing was the potato side dish my friend and I shared called Papas Aplastadas - our server described it as a loaded baked potato, but smashed and fried. It was heavenly. A wonderful 3 1/2 hour dining experience. I would strongly recommend leveraging the $14 valet parking option - quick quick, easy, convenient, and actually cheaper than adjacent parking ramps. I will definitely be back. Congratulations once again, chef/owner, Daniel Del Prado, on another exceptional Twin Cities restaurant.
Superb lunch
My daughter and I made reservations for lunch on a Saturday and glad we did. The restaurant was filled. We have been to Argentina and thought their beef was the best so we decided to see how Porzana’s picanha steak compared. High marks! The beef was very tender and flavorful. Since we were sharing the steak, we wanted to try the double cheeseburger as well. Absolutely the best cheeseburger we have ever eaten! Our red wine from Mendoza was a perfect pairing. Our server, Win J, was very attentive and personable.
